Dentistry is the very meeting of art and science. It seemed a natural career choice for Dr. Seyfried, an artist, and painter in her own right; Dr. Seyfried is also a woman of firsts. She is one of the first women to graduate from the University of Michigan Dental School (the only woman in her graduating class), the first woman to sit on the board of directors for the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, one of the first women to achieve a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in Michigan, one of the first women to establish a solo private practice and the first woman DDS in Birmingham. Dr. Seyfried is committed to not just treating symptoms, but to treating underlying conditions in order to prevent problems from recurring.

I have been practicing dentistry for over 40 years with a special interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. I have many long-term patient relationships, often treating three generations of a family. I find great joy in my family and friends and have been married to my high school sweetheart since 1978. Carol and I enjoy spending time with ourthreesons, their wives, and our three beautiful granddaughters. Outside of dentistry, I love to travel and spend time on the links.
