Dr. Walker has been a dentist in Kona for over 30 years. He graduated from UOP Dental School with honors in 1985. Prior to that, he graduated from UCLA with a psychobiology degree. He is proud to have been recently honored by his peers as a top dentist in the state of Hawaii, and he was also distinguished as a best dentist in the annual West Hawaii Today poll.
Dr. Walker is known for his gentle painless dental treatments, and his office is very up to date with the latest dental technologies to enhance dental treatments. Dr. Walker strives to gain your trust and confidence by having the best dental team, being on-time, and offering the latest technologies to make dental care easier, faster and more comfortable. He is certified in Biomimetic Dentistry, which reduces the need for cutting teeth down for crowns and helps to prevent root canal treatments whenever possible. The office of Daniel J. Walker DDS is thrilled to offer NuCalm in Kailua Kona, Hawaii! This neuroscience technology quickly relaxes our patients without the use of narcotics or controlled substances. NuCalm combines biochemistry, neurophysiology, and physics to bring the mind and body to parasympathetic nervous system dominance, which is the only state that allows your body to recover, heal, and rebuild.
NuCalm consists of four components that, together, bring the body to a deep calming state. It takes approximately 3 minutes to administer the NuCalm components, and patients will feel the relaxation effects in 3-5 minutes. The four components are as follows:

Brought my 91year-young father in so a tooth implant process (started by another dentist) could be completed. He had a quick check up, a full scan, and an order for the implant submitted. Very smooth; very efficient; very kind. On track to get implant in-place before month end. Will definitely continue as a regular patient. Everyone in the office is exceptional.

Having lived on both sides of Hawaii Island, for over 30 years, I have seen many dentists. Dr Tiffany Dunn is very knowledgeable, explains everything in laymen terms and gave me thorough exam even checking for cancer in my mouth and jaw. I was very impressed by her and her exam. Did I mention that everyone in the office is respectful, happy to see you and very upbeat? The office setting is one that says, "Spa Day" for your teeth and gums. Totally a refreshing and relaxing atmosphere.

I had a great experience today at my first visit with Kona Smile Co! It started off great with the courteous and professional greeting by Janet at the front desk, which was followed by x-rays by Cassie & a thorough exam by Dr. Dunn.
