I was going to this location based on the reviews it had. Upon my arrival I noticed the location was a bit on the unclean side but I'm a bit of a germaphobe so I could of been overreacting. I spoke to the dental hygienist who was a very nice lady who took my X-rays and who I believe was going to do my cleaning. Before she went ahead I explained to her that I would need to have novocaine applied due to the fact my that I have sensitive teeth. She looked at me strangely which I get most people don't ask this but due to my high level of anxiety and teeth sensitivity it makes my experience not so painful and uncomfortable when I go to the dentist. She proceeded to reach out to the doctor and I overheard the gentleman state "give him the gel" which based on my experience doesn't work for me. He never asked me my dental history or my experience whether it was good or bad. He proceeded to look at my X-rays and ask why I was here and I stated my crown is loose and I may have 1 or two cavities. He did a once over and stated he doesn't work with crowns or root canals and I have no cavities. But still proceeded to ask me if I wanted a cleaning. I told him no I know I have a loose crown and doing a cleaning might make the situation worse and if his expertise and lengthly dental history can't see that or have better bedside manner then he is not the one for me. I do believe some of these reviews are are fakes the good ones that is. I miss the days when going to the dentist didn't feel like a butcher shop or a high possibility of getting conned.

Dr. Gattegno is very hands on about every aspect of his practice, and Angela is invested in her cleaning work like she's finishing up a PhD on your teeth. 5/5, definitely coming back every six months.

BEWARE of Daniel Gattegno! CAUSED ME permanent NERVE damage IN MY LEFT CHEEK! while infecting me with numbing agent he damaged a nerve. I lost feeling and strength in my left cheek. BEWARE RUN RUN RUN AWAY! he is NO GOOD! RUN!

I had not been to the dentist for some time, and Dr. Gattegno was so kind and reassuring during my visit! He made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. He also did my cleaning. He was very attentive and took the time to answer all my questions. Very glad I found his practice and care, highly recommend!

Dr. Gattegno and his Dental Hygienist, Angela, were excellent! I was nervous to go to the dentist because it had been 2 years since my last dental exam. The dentist I went to prior was exaggerating the state of my mouth to charge more and once I found I was manipulated I was very turned off by dentists. I explained this to the Dr. and explained I was worried about my mouth and they assured me I was mostly fine. They explained everything clearly and were extremely professional. They also have a video playing at the end of the dentist bed of puppies. It's a nice touch if you have dental anxiety!

Started coming here when I moved to Harlem. Basic teeth cleaning. I usually book early appointments so I've never had to wait, in our, job done. Angela's so pleasant and shares tips based on what she sees (I'm pressing my electric toothbrush too hard against my teeth and gums).

I went for a cleaning and ended up getting a cavity filled as well, Dr. Gattegno was super quick and efficient I'll definitely be coming back.

I had a dental emergency and Dr. Gattegno was able to get me in right away! The online booking process was super easy, all staff members were very kind and attentive :) I appreciated him explaining the process to me and he turned a not-so-fun situation a great experience. So grateful!!

I recently went to Dr. Gattegno for a Zoom Teeth whitening. His staff was so incredibly friendly. Angela was amazing! She made me feel completely relaxed during the procedure and the results were fantastic! I am bringing all my friends in for treatments in the future.

It was my first dentist experience in NY but it was great. Small space but very clean and made me feel comfortable. I did cleaning and it was not painful at all. I'm happy with the result and I'm coming back here!

Great experience! My husband and I went together and were both done in a little over an hour. We had basically no wait time and were seen right at our appointment time. The dental hygienist was diligent and careful. The cleaning was not painful. Dr. Gattegno explained the XRs and answered any questions we had. Very quick and efficient. Overall great experience, will be returning!

Honestly, the best cleaning I've had! Even got off all those frustrating coffee stains! The office is small yet they did a great job of social distancing, keeping everything clean, and staggering appts to minimize people in the waiting room. Really love this team!

I LOVE Dr. Gattegno!! He does amazing work & he's very gentle. He lets you know each thing before he does it. His assistant is also very gentle! I can't say enough about this dentist! He & his staff rocks!
