Dr. Daniel B. Levitt is a highly skilled and experienced general dentist serving patients throughout the New York metro area at his practice in Whitestone. He also serves as an Attending Staff member and the Division Chief for the Medically Complex Patient Clinic at Northwell Health (previously North Shore University Hospital). Dr. Levitt has been awarded Attending of the Year numerous times by the residents at Northwell Health, and was also honored for his 30 years of service to the dental department.
Dr. Levitt first received a Bachelors degree in Biology from SUNY Stony Brook, before graduating with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry. In 1995, he became a Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry and has since provided exceptional care to patients at his Whitestone practice.
In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Levitt also has special knowledge and interest of forensic studies, and served as a Forensic Dental Consultant for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of New York City for 20 years. He was a Past President of the New York Society of Forensic Odontology. He assisted in identifying the remains of victims from the World Trade Center after 9/11.

The assistants who clean your mouth do a very good job but the doctor himself has a very bad attitude and the billing department will scam you and make you pay, and then collect money from your insurance company. I've recommend two family members to this dentist and both have had horrible experiences with billing and the disrespect of Dr. Levitt. Avoid if you can and also make sure to speak with your insurance beforehand so that when they scam you, you will be prepared.

Best dental experience ever! I've been a patient for the last 15 years. The office is clean, all covid protocols are in place. Staff and the doctors are friendly and informative, all procedures explained prior to start. Appointments are on time, never experienced any pain or discomfort.

Dr. Levitt is a consummate professional that also has an empathetic and super friendly bed side manner. He fixed all the mistakes my previous dentist made and now my teeth are doing great. His entire staff is reliably helpful and always go the extra mile to get you were you need to be, He is also slowly acclamenting my toddlers to be willing dental patients. I am very glad we were referred to him several years ago.
