My goal is to treat each patient as I would my own children. To treat them with patience and compassion and with an understanding for what they may be thinking. I believe in a gentle approach. I am sensitive to the fear and anxiety that a child may have towards dentistry regardless of his or her age.
My goal is to help kids enjoy coming to the dentist and look forward to their check-ups by providing an overall positive experience. I understand that each child is different and unique and thus may require a unique and tailored dental experience to make their dental visit as enjoyable as possible.
Dr. Tom Dance was born in the state of Idaho, but grew up in Bellevue Washington. He met his wife Kim in undergraduate studies where he graduated with honors from Brigham Young University in zoology. He attended the University of Washington Dental School in Seattle and graduated 4th in his class. Tom found a passion in pediatric dentistry while in dental school and furthered his studies by continuing his education at Primary Childrens Medical Center with a residency in Pediatric Dentistry.
Tom and Kim have four kids, Cameron, Braden, Jane, and Paige. Together, they enjoy the outdoors and most sports. Especially soccer, running and skiing. They like to camp, hike, swim and bike. Dr. Tom also enjoys endurence sports and recently ran a 50 mile trail run. He participates in triathlons, and marathons too. Being active in the community and being social is important to them as well.
Dr. Dallin Dance finds honest joy in working with kids. His Seattle upbringing from a big family helped him be comfortable with the little ones. Eight kids in his family brought many adventures, including going to a kind and constant mentor, Uncle Bill, for dental visits growing up. This planted the seed for being a dentist early on. Nephews and nieces started rolling in when his youngest brother was just 6 years old, so there wasn't ever a gap in having youngsters around. His greatest pleasure is spending time with his wife Chelsie and two kids Carter and Georgie! Staying active and exploring the outdoors has been a constant, and with a stroller and baby carrier his kids are with him often. Dr. Dallin enjoys following the trails blazed by his older brothers, starting in their big backyard with tree forts and rope swings as kids and now into a rewarding career of pediatric dentistry with his oldest brother Dr. Thomas Dance, founder of Dance Dentistry For Kids. These two Dance brothers have climbed Mt. Rainier together, endured a 50-mile ultramarathon, and now race around the same office together!
Dr. Dallin Dance is passionate about the prevention of oral disease and helping patients and parents make little changes that create big differences. Helping an anxious patient face their fears and accomplish something hard is a rewarding challenge for Dallin. His goal is to help every young patient grow-up with positive psychology towards the dental environment, leading to lifelong preventative oral health practices.
He graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in Physiology & Developmental Biology. He finished dental training at the University of Washington School of Dentistry in the top 5% of his class then completed a 2-year pediatric dental residency at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. He is a board eligible member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, and the Idaho State Dental Association.

Love love Dr.dance dentistry. Always a pleasure and my children are actually excited to go to the dentist. Amber in particular was extra amazing to my daughter who was having an emotional day. Highly recommend them.

As a kid I remember dreading the dentist. My daughter on the other hand looks forward to coming everytime and is always asking when she can go back. She had 3 small cavities and I was worried the experience would traumatize her. Dr. Dance did a great job! He worked fast with a calm presence that made her feel relaxed and comfortable. Now she tells me that she doesn't care if she gets a cavity because, " it didn't hurt at all" and she didn't even feel the 3 needles she had to get.

Dr. Dance is an extraordinary dentist. His practice is consistently the best around for young kids and teens. I have been taking my children here for years. (They are all teens and young adults now).His staff are friendly and flexible. I've never felt judged no matter what issues my kids teeth have had or all the questions I ask. You can tell the comfort of his patients is top priority. Kids love the movies available while being worked on and the waiting room is a big plus with a slide and other family-friendly accommodations.

Took my kiddos here for the first time since moving to the area. I was told by other local parents this is the place to go. Man they weren't joking...!! When walking in the place is so clean and kid friendly. Everyone at the front desk is so welcoming and helpful with anything you might have a question about etc.. I can go on and on how great this place is. So if anyone out there is looking for a great pediatric dentist this is the place to go to. I promise you won't be disappointed... Thanks again to everyone at the office including Dr. Dance for making both my kids first experience there so wonderful...!

Dr Dallin Dance is fantastic!! And his lovely staff are so amazing with the littles! They certainly have a way of making my daughter feel more calm when her nerves get the best of her. She always asks if she gets to go to the doctor with the slide haha I highly recommend this crew for your babes!!!

This place is just awesome & has me dancing with joy after todays visit! For 7 years I have struggled taking our daughter to the dentist because of my own personal fear. It's always been dads job.. I've always done the doctors. Well today, I took our daughter & she was struggling in the beginning. We finally got her to calm down enough to try to use some nitrous to really relax her during the process. They had a couple things to do and during they even got the shot to numb her in without her noticing. Our daughter is one happy camper that she is done and that it was more scary than anything. She's a brave soul & the staff at dance dentistry really are amazing with the kiddos. So grateful to have found such a kid friendly, caring, and loving place. She gets to spend the day at home because her mouth is all numb and she's sensitive but happy and relaxing. Thank you for walking her through every step and taking such great care of our kids and their teethers !

Dr Dance dentistry is hands down the best pediatric dentist in North idaho. Our children are never afraid to come to their appts & they look forward to watching a Disney movie & getting a new toothbrush/paste/floss & of course a token for a prize! I can't possibly say enough good things about Dance Dentistry for Kids. They definitely know how to treat kids, and make them feel at ease, my kids are the nervous kind and they some how keep them calm. Having 4 kids that go here, they are great about combining appointment times so as not to have to make too many trips and they get them in quickly if necessary. My kids love playing in the waiting room ( though we never have to wait very long :) they love getting a coin after and picking their own prize. Doctor always texts after they have treatment to make sure everything is going well with the kids. The doctors genuinely care about all of their patients! We love it here!

Look no further! Such a well-run and family -friendly environment. The staff goes above and beyond to make it fun and inviting for our kids (they have an indoor slide!). From the moment we walk in, our kids get to chose from books, music, or even a wide variety of movies to watch. The doctors are extremely personable, professional, and involved in the community. We are always welcomed with smiles and are kids love their prizes and giveaways. We have received messages even after our visits from their staff to check in and make sure we were satisfied.

Nine of our thirteen children receive excellent care at Dance Dentistry! The dentists are incredibly skilled, conservative with treatment, and reflect our choices as parents. My 4.5 year old was referred to Dr Dance's office to seek alternatives to general anesthesia for her cavities. At her consultation, it was decided to try oral sedation in office. I was more than nervous leading up to her procedure since my daughter had previously shown so much anxiety over being laid back in the dentist chair but I had no reason to worry. The staff was so positive and calming, my daughter had no issues getting each cavity taken care of. What was slated for two appointments, was completed all in one appointment meaning less sedation medication and less anxious lead up to another appointment. The office was very clean and very inviting for children. We loved the slide in the waiting room, the prizes at the end and the Disney movie options shown during the appointment. We are so thankful for Dr Dance and his amazing team!

My son had a filling and seals today. Dr Dance was extremely gentle and made the process he was very nervous about feel like no big deal. Office is extremely clean and kid friendly. Our dental hygienist was great with both our kids. Definitely will continue seeing them every 6 months.

Probably one of the best places to take your kids! Very kind and very patient staff. They make sure your little one is always comfortable. I wish my dentist office had a TV that I can watch while they work on my mouth! They explain things to me but also to my kids on what they need to work on. My kids and I always leave happy.

They put Disney on for the kiddos. Very disappointed when you could give some options. They play the movies in the lobby too and the dark themed scenes scare my kids.

We have attended Dance Dentistry for several years and are always happy with our experience. The support staff is awesome and friendly. Dr.Tom Dance is so good with our kids. Our daughter has had to have fillings twice and he has been extremely gentle, caring and his follow up call afterwards is always appreciated. I highly recommend Dance Dentistry.

My daughter cracked her tooth, needed an unexpected tooth extraction and she was so scared. The hygienists and Dr. Dance did such an AMAZING job of making sure she felt safe and comfortable. Dr. Dance was very intentional with her and checked with her multiples times to make sure she wasn't in pain and she was doing ok. Thank you for taking such good care of my child!!!
