He attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and moved to California after graduation in 1977. After 11 years practicing in West Los Angeles, Dana purchased an existing practice in Lompoc and with his wife Barbara they brought their 3 boys to Lompoc for its family friendly atmosphere.
Dr. Manchester continues his education through numerous avenues including UCLA and the Pankey Institute for Advanced Education (www.pankey.org) in Key Biscayne Florida. In 2003 he helped start the Pankey Study Club of Southern Californiato make the principles and education more available to dentists in our state. He is currently the treasurer of our Lompoc Academy of Dentists as well as a member of the American Dental Association and its local affiliates the California Dental Association and Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Association.
Dr. Manchester has provided an informative column in the Lompoc Record during his 23 years here. Education helps remove barriers to health by increasing understanding of the many improvements in care available today. He welcomes questions from patients that can increase this service to others.
Dr. Manchester has been active in the community volunteering at Clarence Ruth Elementary School with dental screenings for over 10 years. He is also active at church and through Rotary where he served as Club President for the Vandenberg Village Rotary Club in 2010. He is an enthusiastic bicyclist and can be seen out on our many scenic roads.
Barbarais our hygienist as well as Dr. Manchesters wife. She graduated from San Joaquin Valley College, DentalHygiene Program in 2006, however she has been active in dentistry for 34 years. Barbara is passionate about prevention andprotection in regards to dental care and the relationship to your overall health.
Lisa is our back office Registered Dental Assistant and has worked for Dr Manchester since 2005. She has over 30 years experience in the dental field. She enjoys making you feel at home in our office and assisting Dr Manchester in your total oral health.
Lori has over 17 years experience in the dental field and she has been with Dr Manchester since 2015. She is in charge of reception, scheduling and billing. She has extensive experience dealing with dental insurance companies and enjoys helping our patients maximize their insurance benefits.

My initial visit with Dr. Manchester was the most comprehensive dental exam I have ever had. He demonstrated a considerable expertise of not only my teeth, but jaw joints and muscles as well as (jaw and teeth related) contributing factors that could affect sleep and even headaches. I am very optimistic for the care that I'll receive. Also, a shout out to the staff who were very nice and were considerate of a headache I was experiencing at the time of my visit. Highly recommended!
