I became a dentist in 2006 and completed my orthodontic training and master's degree in 2009. Dentistry runs in my family;my mom is a dental hygienist, my dad is a dentist, my uncle is a dentist, and I have severalcousins thatare dentists, too!
I was particularly drawn to the combination of medicine, science, and art in orthodontics. Whilepatients might beexcited about improving the appearance of their smile, I want to improve their health, longevity, and oral function, too.
Im extremely proud of my team. They are knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. Theyre also warm and personable. We take our work seriously and strive to deliver the highest quality care to our patients. At the same time, we dont take ourselves too seriously. We have a ton of fun with our patients and our officeis filled with laughter and smiles.
I love to learn and being an orthodontist allows me plenty of opportunities to do so. I have a particular passion for diagnosis, oral pathology, and skeletal and dental anomalies. Many of these requirespecialized interdisciplinary treatment, andI work with many dental and medical professionals to help our patients.
In order to stay on the leading edge of my profession, I regularly take courses on new techniques, materials, and technologies. Ive completed many continuing education courses in dental materials, oral and craniofacialsurgery, advanced orthodontic techniques, oral medicine, and treatment of complex interdisciplinarycases. Im always looking for new ways to better serve my patients.
I volunteer as an orthodontist and dental consultant for the University of New Mexico Cleft and Craniofacial Team and for the New Mexico Cleft Palate Center. New Mexico has one of the highest incidencesof cleft lip and cleft palate in the nation; I feel uniquely qualified to serve my home state as a cleft palate orthodontist. I specialize in complex interdisciplinary care and treatment of dentofacial deformities and craniofacial syndromes.
I grew up in Albuquerque and I love being a part of our incredible community. My husband DaveIvey and I met in high school orchestra at St. Pius XHigh School in 1994. We were married in 2008 and have two beautiful and hilarious children. Our daughter Elyse loves dogs, ice cream, and especially dinosaurs. Our son David Jr is obsessed with Legos and all things spooky.
Dave plays fiddle, mandolin, and does vocals for The Saltine Ramblers, a local band. He also happens to be our office manager, receptionist, financial coordinator, scheduling master, greeter, bouncer, heavy lifter, DJ, and window washer! On the weekends, our family loves getting outdoors, especially for backpacking and camping trips, fly-fishing, hiking, and exploring. We also enjoy eating out!
I love meeting patients and families who are new to our office and making sure they feel welcome. We serve an amazing community, helping people develop healthy, beautiful smiles that change their lives. I work throughout the office, wherever Im needed. Im here to help schedule visits and review financial arrangements. Im proud of our team, the work we do, and how much we care about the wellbeing and happiness of our patients.
Dr. Casaus and I have been happily married since 2008. We met in 1994, while attending St. Pius X High School. We have two beautiful children,Elyse and David. I enjoy all things outdoors, including flyfishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and backpacking. I love music and play the fiddle and mandolin in a local band, TheSaltine Ramblers. The kids and I are crazy abouttoy trains and real trains!
I have great passion for my work as an orthodontic assistant. I love helping my patients achieve a smile that will boost their confidence, and I especially love seeing them share that beautiful smile with others! I help Dr. Casaus with all aspects of orthodontics, from initial records to retainers and everything in between. My favorite procedure is assisting in placing braces. I also really enjoy encouraging my patients to have the best possible brushing and flossing habits.
I was born in Santa Fe and grew up in Albuquerque. My husband and I have one daughter, Sophia. We enjoy watching movies, camping, and fishing. We also love spending time with our two dogs Ruby and JoJo, our two cats River and Jax, and our bearded dragon Eddy.

My husband and I havethree childrenand we enjoy traveling to Arizona to spend time with our extended family. We love soaking up the sun, whether were fishing, hiking, playing sports, or walking our three dogs. I help our community by encouraging othersto save the planet with me: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
I feel blessed to be part of changing the lives of our patients. We help them smile bigger and brighter, with more confidence and happiness. I love getting to know about each patients life, family, and interests. Hearing about their adventures and sharing in their lives is very rewarding. I am a multitasker and work throughout the practice. In the front office, I answer phones, schedule visits, answer questions, and submit pre-authorizations to insurance. When Im in the clinic area, I assist Dr. Casaus with placing and removing braces, taking initial and final records, and adjustments.
I was born and raised here in Albuquerque. My husband Conrad and I have one son. We also have a spoiled Yorkie, Cherry, who loves treats and car rides. My family enjoys cookouts, going to the movies, and sports, especially the San Antonio Spurs! Im active in my Christian church and am a people-person, through and through.
