Dr. Dana Wright graduated from Indiana School of Dentistry in 2001 where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society. She opened her practice later that year in her hometown community of Madison County. She is a member of both the American Dental Association and the Indiana Dental Association. She practices family dentistry with interests relating to pediatric, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. Dr. Wright is thankful for longstanding relationships with her staff which has created an inviting and comfortable atmosphere for patients. In 2010, 2017, 2019, and 2020 her office was voted Best Dental Practicein Madison County by readers of the local newspaper.
Dr. Wright has been married to her husband, Gary, since 1997. Both she and her husband are natives of the Anderson area and graduates of Highland High School. Gary is a family physician practicing in Pendleton since 2003. They enjoy raising their three children Lucas, Gavin, & Kate. Faith is central to their family life and they attend Northview Church. As a family, they enjoy outdoor activities and sporting events.
Erin Barnett is a licensed dental hygienist and earned her degree at Ivy Tech Community College in 2011. Erin previously worked with Dr. Wright as an expanded duties dental assistant before going to hygiene school. Her experience in both areas provides an extensive knowledge base in the overall care of her patients. She is passionate about educating her patients to the highest level of dental health, works diligently in her pursuit of continuing education, and provides gentle care to her patients. Erin married her husband, Dustin, in 2001 and they have three children, Myranda, Zoey, and Carter. She enjoys watching her children participate in basketball and softball.
Amy Shelton is a licensed dental hygienist earning her degree from the University of Southern Indiana in 1995. She previously attended IU School of Dentistry earning a degree in expanded duties dental assisting in 1991. Amy married her husband Mike in 1994 and they have two children, Devon and Dailynn. Amy and her husband enjoy spending time with family and friends. Amys generous spirit flows into her work as a dental hygienist and she enjoys educating her patients on their oral health and overall wellness. She truly loves her profession and building relationships with her patients and their families. Amys positive energy is contagious in the office and everyone is grateful she joined our dental team.
Andrea Karel joined Dr. Wrights team as office manager in 2003 with fifteen years of administrative experience in medical offices. She coordinates patient treatment and has developed close relationships with our patients throughout the years, going above and beyond to make sure they have the best experience possible at our office. Andrea married her husband, Jon, in 1985 and they have two grown children, Kadi and Alex. Kadi works in Fishers and Alex and his wife Alexis live in Indianapolis. Dr. Alex Karel is currently finishing his neurology residency and his wife Alexis is a student at IU School of Medicine.
Kelly Whybrew is a 1994 graduate of Professional Careers Institute. She completed a continuing education course at IUPUI in December of 1995 to become and expanded functions dental assistant. She worked in the dental field for more than five years before staying home to raise her daughters. She came to Dr. Wrights office in 2008 to work as an expanded duties dental assistant. Kelly consistently provides compassionate, exceptional, gentle care and enjoys the relationships she develops with her patients.Kelly married her husband, Mark, in 1996. They enjoy lake life and raising their daughters Madison & Lizzy.
Lea Warrum is a native of Pendleton, IN graduating from high school in 2014. She interned during the summer of 2017 for Dr. Wrights office during her education in dental assisting. The staff and patients fell in love with her and decided she needed to join the practice permanently. Leas role is versatile, and she is involved in direct patient care procedures, while you may also find her beautiful smile greeting and assisting patients in the front office. In her spare time, Lea enjoys spoiling her handsome nephew, hanging out with her family and friends, and spending time outdoors. Our growing practice could not survive without Lea and we are extremely blessed that she has joined our work family.
Karen Richardson retired from GM in 2003 and then shortly after, began working in medical offices to assist in coordinating patient care. She joined Dr. Wrights office in 2010 as a front office assistant. Not only does she care for our patients, but her generous spirit leads her to fulfill any and every need for the staff as well. She married her husband, Butch, in 1973 and they have two married daughters Layne and Paige. Karens greatest joy is being Mimi to her two grandchildren Reid and Reagan.

I just switched Dentists because my previous Dentist retired. I have had a lot of dental work in my lifetime with different Dentists and I can truly say without a doubt, Dr. Dana Wright and her staff have been the best I have ever had. From the front desk, to the hygienist, to the assistant and especially the Dr. herself, I have been made to feel like I am the most important person in their day. They have gone above and beyond for me in every area. I am getting quite a bit of work done and their treatment has been topnotch. The price is very affordable as well. At my last appointment they were trying to match my tooth color to order me a cap and there were 4 different people looking at my teeth at the same time so they could all decide on the best color! I have been to three appointments in the last so far in the last month and after my first appointment, they all knew me by name. I just cannot say enough good about them. I have been made to feel so special and important and the customer service has been excellent! Thank you Dr. Dana Wright and your wonderful staff!

Dr. Wright and her team exemplify what it is to be a family dentistry practice. Every team member is friendly, professional, and so wonderful at their job. Taking little ones with you to any appointment can be stressful but when I took my toddler and newborn with me to an appointment, they were so great with the toddler's first dentist experience making it fun for her, and holding and soothing my infant (even changing a diaper!) while we had our appointment to make the entire experience stress free and enjoyable. Won't go anywhere else.

Our experience with Dana Wright has been really wonderful. The staff truly could not be more friendly or considerate. They are personal, intentional, take their time, and they are so good at what they do. We have had both cleanings and dental work done, and we have complete trust in their quality care. Really thankful to have found a local dentist that we feel so good about!

I highly recommend Dana E. Wright Dentistry!! Dr. Wright and her team really care about you and your smile! I have never had such a wonderful experience at a dentist office. They are so caring and go above and beyond making you the most comfortable they can. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth!

I FINALLY do not need to go anywhere else. I walked into a beautiful living room setting, a beautiful person sitting at the front desk ( I mean beautiful inside and out) I watched HGTV for a few minutes before heading to the back, and the entire office is beautiful. The staff is ON POINT, alot of smiles and special care. Dana Wright - I have seen her twice now, and I am oddly comfortable and confident in her already. She had a tough job (working on me) and she was very gracious. THIS is the dentist everyone should have.
