I feel truly honored to have had such wonderful and loyal patients, many of whom have trusted me with their dental care since I first started practicing dentistry. It isnt uncommon to have cared for three generations of families, and this has made the practice of dentistry extremely rewarding for me. I feel confident knowing I leave Dalseth Dental in very good hands. Our Doctors, Pascal Dalseth, Jeff Mathiason, and April Dammann are excellent dentists. Plus, many of our staff have been helping with patient care for over twenty years. Some for over thirty years!
After graduating from dental school, I was an active duty member of the US Army Dental Corps, stationed in West Germany from 1967 to 1969. I began my private practice in 1971 in Rosemount, MN, and moved the office to its current Apple Valley location in 1974.
Many changes in techniques and technology have occurred since I began practicing 50 years ago. Our office has embraced these advancements by regularly incorporating the newest and most effective technology into the practice. Taking advantage of continuing education courses allows me to provide state-of-the-art care to my patients. I regularly attend lectures and seminars through various professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Minnesota State Dental Association, and the St. Paul District Dental Society.
I enjoy helping the people of our community live healthier lives every day. Being a dentist allows me to meet my neighbors and help them have a positive and comfortable dental experience. I learn something new every day, both from my dental studies and from my wonderful patients!
After over a decade of practicing dentistry, a lot has changed! I am always on the cutting edge of dental technology and am eager to learn something new that can help my patients. As part of my continuing education, I did a general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Minneapolis. I am an active member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, the Spear Education Study Club, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
My continuing education is important in my work, as it keeps me current on changing technology and the latest dental techniques. It also allows me to exchange ideas with colleagues, and review recent research. I use what I learn to implement the most effective and proven dental methods in our practice. My highest priority is always the oral health and comfort of our patients.
I enjoy combining my love for art and science to help those in my community live healthy lives with beautiful smiles. Each patient brings a unique dental history and a special personality to our office. I love getting to know each person who comes to visit us and discussing their plans for oral care. I have been honored to know multiple generations of local families and care for people throughout their lives.
Our office utilizes the latest technology to deliver the highest level of care. My talented staff and I truly care about our patients and always put their needs first. I am privileged to work with multiple team members who have worked with our office for more than 20 years!
I was raised in Burnsville, and love living in Apple Valley. My wife, Jennifer, and I have two teenage children (Margaret and Collin), along with a middle-aged black lab. In my spare time, I am a competitive road bike racer and runner. In the winter I enjoy ice skating and downhill skiing with the kids.
I am also active in our community and donate time to Prince of Peace Outreach Clinic, Eastview Youth Hockey Association, and Feed My Starving Children. I also volunteer to speak at local schools about the importance of good dental health.
I grew up in Walnut Grove, a small town in southwest Minnesota, world famous for Laura Ingalls Wilder. It was great growing up in a small town. My parents still live there and my father practices dentistry there as well. This is where my original interest in dentistry started. When Im not doing dentistry I enjoy wood working, home improvement projects, biking, playing guitar, camping, hiking, and spending time with my family.My wife and I have three children and a dog.
Working at Dalseth Dental has been a great experience. I transitioned here from a community health clinic in Duluth. I gained significant experience at that clinic that I have been able to incorporate into Dalseth Dental. The skills that Ive learned over my career have given me the ability to provide quality care to the people of this community. The members of this community have shown me what a great community it is, and Im glad to call it home, myself. Every day is a new experience with our patients, and I appreciate every one that comes to Dalseth Dental.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Dalseth and his practice. I was visiting from Texas and the first night there one of my crowns came off. My s-i-l who is a patient there gave me the clinic number. I called early the next morning and was given an appointment for 7:45, but was told "just get her here when you can. We'll take care of you." And they did - It was such a huge relief.

This place is wonderful from how clean the facility as to how welcoming the staff is. I took my self a newborn and two toddlers and for Our family cleaning and the staff was so helpful with my children. They did great on understanding that children do not sit well for very long as I got my cleaning done. Somebody went as far to hold my newborn during my cleaning when he got a little fussy. Above and beyond customer service and a very thorough cleaning with each of us. I plan to continue using them for many years.

Everyone at Dalseth Dental is friendly and efficient. Communication is excellent throughout. They always check with me regarding what treatments (i.e. X-rays, flouride, etc.) will be done that day for my children and me. They explain what they're doing and why. They let me know how things went with my children, give any needed advice on how to take better care of our teeth, and make scheduling the next appointments easy. I highly recommend Dalseth Dental!

Dental hygienist Yvonne is spectacular! So thorough, caring, and gentle. We've been going to Dalseth Dental for over 10 years and we have ALWAYS been so happy with the service. We now live in Hastings and make the 40 min drive to get our cleanings.

Been to many dentists in Iowa, Chicago, here. this place gives the absolute best service, is patient and helpful with my high anxiety disabled child and isnt over priced! will never go anywhere else for me and my kids!

Another review mentioned that Dalseth Dental never made them feel coaxed/shamed into spending more money. My family and I have been going to Dalseth for over 30 years and I didn't even realize that was a thing because the service here is amazing. Everyone I've interacted with has been more than kind. The dentists and hygienists are very professional and the administrative team always makes you feel welcome. I have no plans to ever change where I go for dental work and have recommended it to countless people over the years.

Our family started coming to Dalseth Dental 32 years ago when my daughter had an emergency and no one would take her in except Dr Dalseth. We have been going ever since. We moved to Wisconsin for many years but I still made the drive twice yearly to come back to Dalseth Dental. The staff is so friendly and helpful and Dr Pascal is the best in the biz!!! As you can see I highly recommend them:)

I had an urgent need to reestablish with a dental office. I called Delseth Dental and got an appointment with Dr. April. I got in relatively quickly, I was assessed for the issue. I even had the opportunity to get teeth cleaning done. This was a very professional friendly welcoming office. I would highly recommend them if you're looking to establish a new dentist.

WHERE ARE THE MASKS?! Fine at getting you in for an urgent issue, but otherwise terrible. I had to ask both the dentist and hygienist to put on masks and was ridiculed for the state of my teeth. I was told I need to schedule a cleaning soon and they told me the soonest available was March. (It's AUGUST). Dentist shopping here we go...

Have you read the Facebook profile about caring for community? I was a client here, until they decided they couldn't provide the services I needed, of which I learned when walking into their office to pay a balance under 100.00 and schedule an appointment for annual check up and cleaning. I later received communication from them my appointment would be cancelled and was advised they closed my account. (Balance under 100.00) I am on Long term disability leave and was unavailable for any calls, letters, or notices, while under medical care. That being said, I never received any communication from Dalseth regarding my balance on the account. Nor was I informed when I walked in paid my balance and scheduled the next appointment. (LTD means living on a set disability benefit) When I was informed of Dalseths decision to cancel my account, I informed them of my situation being unable to receive or respond due medical care, however they would not change their position and so I ask you, how concerned is Dalseth about your care and the community. Some times things look or sound too good to be true. Up until this, Dalseth provided me with excellent care and am dumbfounded their unable to provide that same level of care and have compassion.
