Dr. Steven Johnson obtained his degree from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) in 1985 and completed his general dental practice residency at West Virginia University in 1988. He is also a proud graduate of the Neuromuscular Program at the World-Renowned Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. He is additionally certified to perform specific dental procedures including Lumineers, Invisalign, and Endodontic Dentistry.

Dr. Walter E. Odisho was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Dr. Odisho has over a decade of advanced dental training and experience. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2009. After working in private practice, he decided to continue his education completing a four-year specialty program at Boston University School of Dental Medicine and received a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Prosthodontics (C.A.G.S) and Master of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D.).
This specialty training is rigorous, and truly prepares you in a wide range of complex problems within the oral cavity providing the skills needed to address issues ranging from complete oral rehabilitations to highly meticulous aesthetic treatments. Dr. Odisho served as Chief Resident and was awarded the David J. Baraban Award presented to the resident who best exemplifies excellences in character and clinical proficiency by the Department of Restorative Sciences and Biomaterials, Division of Postdoctoral Prosthodontics at Boston University. During his years in BU he developed a special interest in the area of Implantology and Digital Dentistry completing a one year specialty program in Implant Periodontal Prosthodontics at University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he also had the privilege to teach.
Dr. Odisho adheres to the highest of ethical standards and quality of care for all his patients, making his priority to be attentive to their concerns and goals. He is thankful and excited to be able to change lives and smiles for the Northern Virginia community.
Dr. Michael is a Northern Virginia native. After graduating magna cum laude in 2008 from Virginia Tech with a B.S. degree in Biology he spent time with his own dentist and became inspired to pursue a career in dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry in 2013. Dr. Michael also completed a one-year Advanced Education General Dentistry residency at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) to further enhance his technical knowledge and dentistry skills.
He is a standing member of the Pankey Institute and the Academy of General Dentistry. His continuing education informs his interests in dental implant, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry in real-time. Dr. Michael is also an active member of the Spear Faculty Study Club where he expands his understanding of professional techniques and topics while sharing best-practices and industry expertise with other dentists.
Dr. Michael is happy to be back in his hometown and excited to serve his community. He is grateful to work at Dale City Smiles in Northern Virginia and looks forward to building lifelong relationships with his patients. His goal is to help them gain the confidence that comes from a beautiful, healthy smile. His favorite healthy pastimes revolve around sports, including basketball, running, and learning to golf.
Elizabeth joined the Annandale Smiles Hygiene Team in July of 2015 after graduating cum laude from the Northern Virginia Community College Dental Hygiene Program. Elizabeth completed her undergrad at James Madison University, where she studied Biology. She continues to stay active in her education with JMU Tri-Beta (Biology Honors Fraternity) and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Elizabeth is a very active person. She loves hiking, weight lifting, using new healthy recipes, finding farmers markets and traveling. Her fear of heights doesnt keep her off the hiking trail. Elizabeth tells a lot of jokes (especially puns).
In October 2013, Virginia joined our Dale City Smiles Family after graduating Cum Laude. From Horry-Georgetown Technical College in South Carolina. She received the Mary Clary Award for Hygienist of the Year in 2012 from the South Carolina Dental Association Foundation.
A Richmond native, she now makes her home in Northern Virginia. Her hobbies include drawing, painting, ice skating, singing, and shopping at Anthropologie. (Before Virginia got involved in hygiene, she was interested in art/fashion design.) Virginia really enjoys conversing in basic French.
Rosalie joined the Annandale Smiles Team in early 2008 making her our longest tenured Hygienist. Originally from the Philippines and born in Japan, Rosalie has literally treated patients across the world. She earned her first degree in dentistry in the Philippines but has continued her education since coming to America. Rosalie earned her Associates Degree from Northern Virginia Community College and then went on to earn her Bachelor Degree and Masters from Penn State. Rosalie is an active participant in the VDHA (Virginia Dental Hygienist Association) and the NVDHA (Northern Virginia Dental Hygienist Association).
Rosalie has a loving family that include her husband and 2 daughters. Rosalies husband Rory is active duty military. Rosalie enjoys Zumba, cooking, baking, watching Korean TV Drama, and traveling. She said that she also enjoys babysitting her Tweenie daughter.

I would like to thank Dr. Do and Chelsea for helping me start my Invisalign journey! They were informative and transparent about the process. I definitely know I am in good hands. Overall, Dale City Smiles is a great place for my routine dental checkups as well as having amazing staff.

I don't like going to the dentist, but my partner had good things to say when he came here for a visit and talked me into coming. I hadn't been to the dentist since Covid, so I worried I fell far behind on my dental hygiene. I had a wonderful first visit here. When I came to my actual appointment, I was promptly greeted by Gloria. My hygienist was Jimmy and he was great! I received a quick tour of the office. Everything was super clean. I don't think I could have asked for a better person to take care of me. He was thorough and explained everything he was doing and exactly what to expect while he was doing it. They work so well as a team here; he didn't even have to ask for help, Alice just knew what to do and did it, no questions asked. I highly recommend Dale City Smiles. I actually look forward to my next visit with them!

The experience was great ,JIMMY was great! I was a little nervous coming into a new dentist but he was really helpful in explaining the equipment to me and explaining everything that was going on with my teeth and made me feel really comfortable while getting a teeth cleaning he was really nice and making sure I was doing good in the process....thank you!! Everyone in the office is terrific. Alice got us started w X-rays and then Jimmy took over for our biannual cleaning. He is the 1st person to every explain the gum pocket and recession measurements. My first time at Dale City Smiles today :) Jimmy is hands down the best hygienist I've ever met. He was incredibly kind, checked to make sure I was ok continually throughout the entire cleaning, and he explained every step thoroughly so I understood what was going on. His 20+ years of experience was clearly demonstrated through both skill and bedside manner. I also received a tour of the premises and received several gifts as a first time patient. Everything was pristinely clean, decorated wonderfully, and the entire place had a very modern feel. I was blown away! Great first impression. I will recommend this location to anyone seeking a dentist.

I had the best experience at Dale City Smiles! I was greeted and swiftly checked in by Gloria who was extremely pleasant. Leonor worked gently and diligently on my cleaning, explaining every step of what she was doing and always making sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. Dr. Do then came in to do my checkup and she was very thorough and explained all her findings and answered all my questions with kindness and detail!. Alice assisted me with my whitening with the Zoom! I highly recommend this whitening process, especially if you're getting ready for something big, like your wedding!!! I couldn't recommend this office more for all of your dental needs! Their professionalism and attention to detail and customer care make dental visits more pleasant!
