The name definitely fits, the reception staff as well as one lady dentist was very friendly but the gentleman was completely the opposite. He was not understanding or friendly at all, and when i was trying to explain what was going on actually yelled me!! who does that?! I will definitely never return there. I wish I knew how to report my experience to a higher authority because I find this to be complely inappropriate, doctors should know how to practice empathy even if you are just a dentist

I went to Dr Dalbert Fear for concerns about changes in some soft tissue in my mouth. He was caring and professional, thoroughly examined the areas of concern. Office staff was great. Also took my dental savings plan. I would recommend him

I'm a big baby when it comes to my teeth. So of course I'd like to be put to sleep for the experience. Waited in the waiting room for an Hour past my appt. No chairs in the waiting room. Appt time 12:30pm was finally put under at 2pm. Zero food all day. When I awoke I learned that the underside of my tounge had been sliced. Of course stitches don't keep that closed. So here I am. A week later, basically on a liquid diet because I can't move my tounge, in so much pain I'm living on ibuprofen. I'll never go back. I won't even go back to have them look at it. Was supposed to see the female Dr Fear. Ended up with who I assume to be Mr Dr Fear?

Both times I have been here they have made me wait over and hour past my appointment time, FOR MY APPOINTMENT!! Over charged me for things that were NOT needed! NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!

My daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled. I was told that Dr. Fear would except what my insurance paid and would not be responsible for ANYTHING else because the office and insurance company were going back and forth over what was covered. I just got a bill and was told I owe it and "people make mistakes." If someone gives you their word, they should stick to it.

We arrived on time, waited over 45 minutes, for our consultation visit. We noted there was 2 other people in the office ahead of me still waiting. Why would my time be any less important? If we showed up no call nothing 45 minutes late would you still see us?? A simple phone call, text or email to say you were running late would have been appropriate or at check in say hey we're currently running 45 minutes behind, go have lunch and come back? Just thoughts...Ideas and no we would not recommend.

Update: My surgery went well and I had an easy recovery. However, while I am confident the elder Dr. Fear is a competent surgeon, he is utterly unwilling to prescribe minimal pain medication even to relieve severe pain for a couple of days. On top of this, while I was being prepped for my wisdom teeth extraction, he took the opportunity to berate me for leaving this review. In short, Dr. Fear is as good of a surgeon as any if you need his services, buy beware that if you're in pain you're on your own, both before and after your surgery. Original Review pre-surgery: Utterly unsympathetic doctor who would rather recommend a dangerous amount of Tylenol/Ibuprofen and leave a patient in severe pain rather than prescribe a minimal short term dose of a real painkiller. For context, I have 8 days until I get my wisdom teeth out, am in constant 6-8/10 pain, and I've been on the maximum dosage or more of Tylenol/Ibuprofen for about the last 45 days. I've attached an Xray of what my teeth look like. I've got one broken wisdom tooth, one seriously decayed one, and one that's busy burrowing its way through the root of one of my molars. I've also attached texts from the office to prove I am indeed in their patient records, since they seem to respond to every negative review by claiming people aren't actually their patients.

Has to be the worst practice in Michigan. Zero empathy for a new patient in a great deal of pain. I'm new to the area. I don't have a Rolodex full of options. I had an appointment in 3 weeks for an extraction, but unfortunately the tooth completely broke before my appointment. I called the emergency line after hours and left a message with the office's service for help. No one returned the call. I called the office again this morning and explained that I had a severe issue. Even though I had an appointment scheduled, I was informed that as I was not a "patient of record" and would not be seen until my appointment in 3 weeks. I pleaded stating I was in tremendous pain. The receptionist wouldn't even help with the name of another emergency practice. I've never received such a callous response from a medical office professing to care about their patients. Even in an emergency they refused to help with so much as a suggested alternative. They may be great to "patients of record', but there was zero compassion from either the on-call dentist or front office for someone new to the area and in need of help. I'd suggest staying away from people like this. I certainly won't use them.......

Dr. Fear and the surgical assistant, whose name I'm pretty sure was Joann but my memory is a bit foggy, were amazing. They removed all four of my wisdom teeth. Beforehand, they answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, and were very friendly. I was given detailed instructions for post-op care and the recovery has been extremely smooth. I barely experienced any pain and my gum holes are healing up nicely. I'll definitely be coming back next time I need my wisdom teeth taken out.

Incredible fast and professionally operated! I had my four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Fear at Michigan Oral Surgeons and I was only there for about an hour. Painless anesthesia, was in and out before I knew it had happened, and with the head strap ice pack they provided my face didn't even swell up in the days after! professional, easy, and surprisingly affordable 10/10 would recommend

Dr. Fear did a good job on what needed to be done. But I was charged out of pocket when I shouldnt have paid anything out of pocket! This has turned into a big fiasco!

The staff was friendly and the communication was great. I was thoroughly informed about the procedure for my teenager (he had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed). The procedure was fast, he healed quickly and there were no complications. We chose anesthesia and I'm glad we did. I'm very happy with his experience.
