I obtained my education at the University of Pittsburgh on a football scholarship where I was captain of the 1965 Pitt football team. In 1969 I graduated and pursued my Doctorate in Dental Medicine. In 1971 I went on to specialize in orthodontics receiving my Orthodontic Masters of Science in Dentistry degree in 1974.
Having the privilege of treating several generations of patients, I am extremely proud of how Dahar Orthodontics continues to gain a powerful reputation for professionalism, attention to detail, and the loving care we give to each and every patient. I am very pleased that my family has followed in the dental field. My oldest son, Nick also chose the orthodontic field and joined me as my associate in 2006. In addition, my daughter Sara, a Dental Hygienist, helps manage our three offices. My youngest son, Matthew graduated from dental school in June 2012 and will be specializing in pediatric dentistry.
Aside from my great love for my profession, I enjoy golf, golf, and more golf! I am dedicated to staying healthy and remaining involved in my familys lives, especially my beautiful grandchildren. I also take pride in supporting many charities, schools, and community programs through donations and activities.
My dedication to orthodontics is inspired by my desire to provide patients with an investment that lasts a lifetime. In addition to orthodontics, my focus has also included eliminating the headaches and migraines that can be caused by a bad bite.
I began my career at Carnegie Mellon University and obtained my Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1997. In addition to my DMD I also obtained my Masters in Business Administration, (MBA) and Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Pittsburgh. I received my Orthodontic Masters of Science in Dentistry from Saint Louis University in 2005.

Dr Dahar did a consultation on my daughter years ago. He went on and on talking about all the many phases of braces she would need. Upwards of $11 grand. I didn't think her teeth were that bad. Took her for a second opinion and was told she didn't need braces at all. Years later her teeth are straight, never had braces. This place is just money grabbers

Great team they have at this practice. Stopped in today for the details of my daughters upcoming treatment plan and was impressed with the way they operate. The whole staff wa friendly and informative and I am pleased with the direction we are headed.

TRULY AN AMAZING PRACTICE...my oldest daughter went through the dreaded monthly visits with her doctor when we lived across town but boy are we lucky when it comes to my younger daughter that we came across Dr. Dahar while moving because she only comes in every 3 months since he has these spectacular upgraded new age brackets...and the waiting room is amazing with the game systems along with an actual arcade and a photo taking area and the sweet lady aka clown what a treat...parents there are comfy massage chairs and drinks to boot and the rewards system gets the kids brushing and they like the environment overall I'll tell ya...also thanks for always being so courteous

Dr. Dahar does amazing work. My teeth are perfect and he is always working to make them better. The staff are very friendly and hardworking. The family friendly environment makes it a comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommended Dahar Orthodontics.

Dr Nick Dahar and his entire staff are awesome and work with you! They go the extra mile helping with insurance, etc. I have a special situation with one of my kids and they have been very very helpful! My daughter was so hard on her braces, and they always fit her in quickly, fixed her up and we were on our way! Thank you for my daughters beautiful smile, and thanks in advance for the other two that are coming your way!!! Update: one out of braces and the other two in treatment now - couldn't be happier with this office!!
