Digital radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of x-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer. This image can be instantly viewed and enlarged helping the dentist and dental hygienist detect problems easier. Digital x-rays reduce radiation 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental x-rays.
Dental x-rays are essential, preventative, diagnostic tools that provide valuable information not visible during a regular dental exam. Dentists and dental hygienists use this information to safely and accurately detect hidden dental abnormalities and complete an accurate treatment plan. Without x-rays, problem areas may go undetected.
We are all exposed to natural radiation in our environment. Digital x-rays produce a significantly lower level of radiation compared to traditional dental x-rays. Not only are digital x-rays better for the health and safety of the patient, they are faster and more comfortable to take, which reduces your time in the dental office. Also, since the digital image is captured electronically, there is no need to develop the x-rays, thus eliminating the disposal of harmful waste and chemicals into the environment.
Even though digital x-rays produce a low level of radiation and are considered very safe, dentists still take necessary precautions to limit the patients exposure to radiation. These precautions include only taking those x-rays that are necessary, and using lead apron shields to protect the body.
The need for dental x-rays depends on each patients individual dental health needs. Your dentist and dental hygienist will recommend necessary x-rays based upon the review of your medical and dental history, a dental exam, signs and symptoms, your age, and risk of disease.

They are absolutely wonderful! Saw my whole family of 5 at once. They tell you cost before moving forward explaining everything as they went along. Great with my 6 year old , I think we finally found our Dentist.

Da Vinci Dental went above and beyond for me. I have been self conscious about my teeth for years, but with just a couple visits, Julia has given me hope to smile again. I had a root canal and 6 fillings done and with both sittings, my teeth look amazing... like I had cosmetic work done. The skill level and artistry is very impressive. I'm so happy!!

Great experience. They made sure I was comfortable the whole process. They were very thorough and highly detailed in their work. I have serious dental anxiety and they were very understanding. When I was finished with my perm crowns they were happy to see my happy and celebrated the win with me. I will def be going back and moving my family to this practice. Highly recommend.

I was a new patient today. I haven't been to the dentist in 10 years. I was very pleased with the service. Clean, prompt they actually took me early. No pain the dentist Julia was excellent and I will be going back on a regular basis.

The best dental office i ever went to. So glade I found it. My other dentists would always refer me out for extras and its great they do everything here. I especially liked the ct scan machine that found some problems that regular xrays didn't and carefully explained everything in detail. They were all very nice.

Be very cautious about the reviews on this dentist practice. A sign in the office offers patients money off their services for writing a review for the office.

Absolutely amazing here! They are miracle workers! I've had work done by almost everyone there Dr. Burdo, Dr. Julia, Dr. Cohen, etc...All with no pain and incredible results. I've needed an extensive amount of work done due to neglect, smoking and other poor life choices and they have made it to where I'm not embarrassed to smile anymore in fact, I now look forward to it. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and just want to help you feel/look better. If you're second guessing getting any work done I suggest making an appointment and let the all-star team of dentists/dental surgeons with top of the line technology and equipment get you on a treatment plan
