Dr. Ramon Rodriguez completed his undergraduate at Florida International University in 2004, where he majored in chemistry. He then attended the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from which he graduated in 2009. He has completed many advanced training courses, including:
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the Academy of Osseointegration (AOI). Dr. Rodriguez has also received several awards, including the Miami-Dade Countys Major Top Award for Excellence in Community Service award for four consecutive years (2015-2019). This is awarded through the New Smiles Foundation for serving victims of human trafficking, domestic violence and extreme poverty. Dr. Rodriguez also created and promoted the Make the Right Choice Campaign to improve youth dental, mental and spiritual health while fighting against drug addiction and visiting local schools.
Dr. Rodriguez is committed to providing a significant contribution to the dental, oral, mental and spiritual health of each patient through the creation and establishment of sincere and long-lasting patient-doctor relationships. The daily practice of dentistry has always been his dream job and fuels his constant passion to serve each patient in need.
Dr. Rodriguez takes a very comprehensive approach to continuing education in an effort to improve patient care. From the day he was licensed to practice dentistry, he has continuously participated in multiple professional study groups to review challenging clinical cases and learn from the success and failures of his colleagues in order to improve his own level of patient care. Dr. Rodriguez frequently reviews the leading peer-reviewed journals, attends conferences and communicates with his colleagues and members of academia to stay abreast of the latest developments in the dental field. He finds that practicing dentistry is a daily learning experience and is optimized by carefully listening to and addressing his patients concerns and providing them with genuine care and confidence. Through genuine empathy, understanding and trust, strong patient-doctor relationships can be forged, allowing him to increase his patients awareness about the importance of dental health and the prevention of oral-dental diseases.
Like many who make Miami-Dade County home, Dr. Rodriguez immigrated to the United States at the age of 15. After completing dental school, he decided to put down roots in the community that welcomed his family in order to give back. He is close to his parents, Ramon and Maida, and he and his wife. Dr. Vivian Diaz, have two children, Sophia and Daniel. Outside the office, Dr. Rodriguezs hobbies include outdoor activities such as walking, swimming, running and biking.
