Coming out of my orthodontic residency in 1981, I was filled with excitement about the positive changes I could make for my patients. Now, more than 30 years later, I still get up in the morning and look forward to the joy on a patients face as the braces come off and we all marvel at the changes!

Through the years, Ive treated many different people, from rock stars to local soccer stars, and they all have a story to tell, along with a common desire to have a confident and healthy smile. The expression of gratitude always comes as a surprise because I am the one who is grateful for the opportunity to create a beautiful smile. When a mom thanks me for the OrthoBus, and how it helps her and her children not to miss work and school, its a huge win for us both! I can honestly say that Im excited to get up every morning and do what I do.

As the founder/director of the Alpenglow Study Club, I am able to keep up on all facets of dentistry. A board-certified orthodontist, also known as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, has been voluntarily examined by his or her peers on the basis of knowledge and clinical skills. Becoming board certified signifies the orthodontists pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence in orthodontics.

To become board-certified, an orthodontist has to pass a rigorous set of written and clinical examinations, as well as a comprehensive review of his or her credentials. The initial process of becoming board-certified can take anywhere from five to ten years. Once certified, the orthodontist must become recertified every ten years to maintain board-certified status.

Growing up in New York City, I always dreamed of having a small ranch. As a kid, I loved going to the rodeo and watching Westerns on TV and the movies. Every day, I get the chance to live in the real Old West. It sounds clich, but I love this rural life where I can practice the profession that I love and truly enjoy, and in my spare time go skiing, hiking, sailing, and take advantage of all the other amazing outdoor activities this area has to offer. Theres no place like Tahoe!

Life on a ranch wouldnt be complete without the animals. I have Teddy, a Goldendoodle, and two German shorthaired pointers named Willy and Eva. The ponies are named Chippy, Dusty, Majic, and Chavella. To round out this menagerie is Sheeba and the 60 Shetland sheep (yup, I said 60!) and Mariah and Pietor, the guardian llamas.

Aside from my work, my family, and all the animals, its also important for me to be involved in the community. My office has donated seven marquee signs to our local schools and we sponsor numerous sports and family and academic endeavors, such as the Incline Star Follies, Movies in the Park, Carson Valley Days, and the Sierra Nevada Ballet. I also belong to the Flying Samaritans, a group of physicians, dentists, nurses, and allied health professionals who provide care to indigent farm workers on the Baja Peninsula.

I am responsible for overseeing all aspects and operations of the office, and ensuring each day runs smoothly and according to the schedule. I began working here in 1997, and it has been my pleasure to help keep so many smiles straight! I appreciate having the opportunity to improve peoples smiles and boost their confidence. I assist Dr. DAscoli with orthodontic procedures. More importantly, I make sure each patient feels comfortable, safe, and confident in the care they receive. My favorite part of my job is to see the confidence our patients gain after their teeth start to move into a beautiful smile. I learn new things every day and grow as an orthodontic assistant. I love working with the doctor because we are a great team and we create beautiful smiles together!

I grew up in Genoa, NV. I married the love of my life in 2012, and had my first baby 2014. I am so happy in our first years as husband and wife with our sons, Aaron and Austin. When Im not in the office, I enjoy crafting and spending time with friends and family.

I home schooled my kids while they were younger and now are teenage boys. I am a big Dallas Cowboys fan and you can catch me hanging out with friends and family. I enjoy nights in the with a cold craft beer along with legos and puzzles. Summer is my favorite season and the beach is my happy place.

My name is Angela and I am the Scheduling Coordinator. I grew up in South Lake Tahoe, California. I decided to enter the orthodontic field because I wanted a change. I wanted to join a team where we help people change and progress in a positive way. Especially when its to make someone happy and smile. I am fluent in Spanish and would like to become an asset to our Spanish speaking community. I am a mother of three boys and a dog. If and when I have free time I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors.

Im a Scheduling Coordinator with DAscoli Orthodontics. Im originally from New York City but have been living in Northern Nevada for over 20 years. Ive raised two beautiful kids and a couple of spectacular cats here, and I love appreciating the beauty of this area. Im the marketing executive for the practice. Prior to the orthodontic field, I worked in social services in California and did marketing for a financial software firm in Zephyr Cove, NV. I am excited to work with our diverse team which is humorous, down to earth, and has a passion for our patients for the best treatment outcome.

I enjoy playing roller derby, snowboarding, hiking and traveling. When there are more than 24 hours in a day, I like to help out on the Ranch to get our Goldendoodle to herd sheep, be a better cook, snowshoe, write letters, and explore in all modes of transportation.

Bucky Bronco is our mascot and team member. He visits schools and participates in community parades. His favorite parade is Carson Valley Days. Bucky makes special appearances and helps teach about oral health to the public. He can be found grazing in the pasture and galloping in the Carson Valley with his herd. He is Dr. DAscolis favorite companion. Bucky is in treatment with braces getting his overbite corrected. Come give him a big hug the next time you see Bucky in your neighborhood!
