I have been around dentistry all my life. My father, Dr. Don Wood, Jr., was one of the first dentists in Cypress, practicing dentistry here since 1965 and retiring in 2000. I mentored under my father prior to getting my dental license and officially joined the practice in 1982. We practiced together for 18 wonderful years.
I have taken thousands of hours of continuing education and have been recognized in many fields, including: * Diplomate, American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine * Fellowship in the American Academy of General Dentistry * Fellowship in the American Endodontic Society * Membership in the Federation Dental International * Member of the Cypress Chamber of Commerce * Past president of the Orange County Flying Samaritans * Member in good standing of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society
Dr. Jonggoo Park was born in Seoul, Korea, and immigrated to America as a young teen. His parents instilled in him the importance of obtaining an education and a deep desire to help others. Dr. Park believes in providing a comprehensive exam and explaining a treatment plan that is specific to each individual patients concerns and needs. As a patient of Dr. Parks, you can expect thorough and gentle treatment using the latest procedures and technology. In his spare time, Dr. Park enjoys spending time with his newborn baby girl, snowboarding in the winter, traveling the world to experience different cultures, activities, and cuisines.
Kirbe began working at Cypress Family Dental in 2013 as a Registered Dental Assistant. Kirbe is a very skilled competent worker and was soon promoted to Office Manager. In her spare time, she loves to crochet, read, go to the movies and spend time with family and friends.
Debbie is the practice Insurance coordinator and is here to help with all of your insurance questions. Debbie was born in England and immigrated to the United States when she was four years of age. The family originally settled in Utah and moved to California in 1987. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys making chocolate favors, rubber stamping and spending time with family.
Melissa is our Registered Dental Hygienist responsible for assessing your oral health condition and needs. Melissa is a graduate of Cerritos College and began working with Dr. Don Wood on September 11, 2001. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her daughters, going to the movies and vacationing at the beach.
Mary has been in the dental field for over ten years. She joined Cypress Family Dental in 2018. Mary enjoys caring for people and helping them make the best decision for their dental needs. In her spare time Mary enjoys traveling with her family, hiking in the Orange County and Los Angeles County open tracks, cheering on Team USA Figure Skating, reading books, listening to classical music and relaxing at the beach.
Marie has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2017. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. They especially enjoy exploring nature together, hiking in the mountains or along the coast.
May has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2014 and loves working at Dr. Woods office. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the movies and vacationing.

Dr. Brian Nguyen, DDS, one word describes this dentist, AMAZING! Best experience ever having my teeth worked on. He had me at hello. He explains everything, before, during and after. A kind and compassionate human being. I am 65 years old and this was the first time ever that I didn't even feel him numbing me. This was a NO pain experience and I had a tooth pulled on one side of my mouth and a root canal started on the other side. Complete state of the art facility. He even makes his own crowns. I am just in awe of his techniques and kindness. I am so thankful I have found my new dental home.

Dr. Woods was an outstanding dentist, but sadly, his retirement has made this practice go downhill. The hygienist is fantastic, but after sitting in the chair for 45 minutes to have my crown repaired with NO one working on me I'm taking my teeth elsewhere. I'm leaving three stars purely because Melissa the hygienist is outstanding.

Dr. Woods sold the business and the new owners did not share that information until i showed up for the appointment. Second visit I had an appointment with my hygienist and after i showed up i was seen by a dentist and not a hygienist. When i asked they said they said hygienist had taken the day off. The dentist and his assistant did a bad job with cleaning. I am not going there anymore. They still have Dr. Woods name on the door to trick you in.

Dr woods has sold his business and retired. I went to Dr woods and his father for many years. After the business was sold I saw a very good doctor in there and did a great job and I went back about 30 days later to have that same dentist and do more work on myself and I was told by the staff in the office at that dentist no longer worked there and they wouldn't give me his name or where he had moved to I didn't think that was very professional so this is why I lowered my rating from five stars of Dr woods

I love Dr. Woods office! I have been a patient at this dental office for about 20 years now, starting back in high school when I got braces. The entire team here is very professional and friendly. I recently had an appointment during the Covid-19 pandemic and they've got their safety protocols down! I highly recommend this dentist to everyone. They even bake fresh cookies for after your visit! :))

Dr. Don Wood is the best Dentist you can ever have. This man literally changed my life allowing me to eat like a normal person again. I will never have anyone touch my teeth till the day he's done practicing. His staff is amazing and very friendly as well.

This is the best dentist I have been to and I have been to several. Dr. Woods team is professional and welcoming. They are never over-booked and I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the lobby. They are so efficient, no matter what I go in for, I am out in 45 minutes or less. I highly recommend Dr. Woods and his fine team.

Got a porcelain crown for a molar today. I've been to 3 different dentistries before coming here, and Dr. Wood is definitely the best dentist I've been to. Staff and Dr's are friendly and knowledgeable as well. I had to visit 3 times over the spand of a couple weeks. 1st time was to remove my filling, 2nd time was for the root canal and temp crown. 3rd time was to install the permanent crown and it was quick and painless!

I travel 75 miles to Dr Wood & Melissa. I have been going to them around 18 yrs I believe it is now. HIGHLY recommend them. During these times all precautions are being done.
