I have been around dentistry all my life. My father, Dr. Don Wood, Jr., was one of the first dentists in Cypress, practicing dentistry here since 1965 and retiring in 2000. I mentored under my father prior to getting my dental license and officially joined the practice in 1982. We practiced together for 18 wonderful years.
I have taken thousands of hours of continuing education and have been recognized in many fields, including: * Diplomate, American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine * Fellowship in the American Academy of General Dentistry * Fellowship in the American Endodontic Society * Membership in the Federation Dental International * Member of the Cypress Chamber of Commerce * Past president of the Orange County Flying Samaritans * Member in good standing of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society
Dr. Jonggoo Park was born in Seoul, Korea, and immigrated to America as a young teen. His parents instilled in him the importance of obtaining an education and a deep desire to help others. Dr. Park believes in providing a comprehensive exam and explaining a treatment plan that is specific to each individual patients concerns and needs. As a patient of Dr. Parks, you can expect thorough and gentle treatment using the latest procedures and technology. In his spare time, Dr. Park enjoys spending time with his newborn baby girl, snowboarding in the winter, traveling the world to experience different cultures, activities, and cuisines.
Kirbe began working at Cypress Family Dental in 2013 as a Registered Dental Assistant. Kirbe is a very skilled competent worker and was soon promoted to Office Manager. In her spare time, she loves to crochet, read, go to the movies and spend time with family and friends.
Debbie is the practice Insurance coordinator and is here to help with all of your insurance questions. Debbie was born in England and immigrated to the United States when she was four years of age. The family originally settled in Utah and moved to California in 1987. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys making chocolate favors, rubber stamping and spending time with family.
Melissa is our Registered Dental Hygienist responsible for assessing your oral health condition and needs. Melissa is a graduate of Cerritos College and began working with Dr. Don Wood on September 11, 2001. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her daughters, going to the movies and vacationing at the beach.
Mary has been in the dental field for over ten years. She joined Cypress Family Dental in 2018. Mary enjoys caring for people and helping them make the best decision for their dental needs. In her spare time Mary enjoys traveling with her family, hiking in the Orange County and Los Angeles County open tracks, cheering on Team USA Figure Skating, reading books, listening to classical music and relaxing at the beach.
Marie has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2017. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. They especially enjoy exploring nature together, hiking in the mountains or along the coast.
May has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2014 and loves working at Dr. Woods office. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the movies and vacationing.
