Dr. Cynthia (Cindy) Elderkin earned her B.S. degree in Zoology from North Carolina State University in 1983. In 1987, she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and was chosen for the GPR (General Practice Residency) program there.
Dr. Claudel Pilon Giggey, DMD earned her B.S. degree in Biological sciences, concentration in Human Biology with a minor in Spanish from NCSU in 2014. She then went on to attend East Carolina School of Dental Medicine and earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree in 2018 as the fourth graduating class. Dr. Giggey is excited to return home and start her career in dentistry while providing exceptional patient care and fulfilling the needs of the community.
Cindy originally joined the practice in 1997 and after taking time out to raise her family, rejoined in 2015. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, cooking, many house projects and spending time in the mountains.
Molly joined the practice in 1992. She took time off to raise her family and returned to us in 2018. Molly loves spending time with family and friends and she loves, loves, loves spending time at the beach.

Dr. Elderkin chose, however, to return to her hometown of Raleigh to join a general dental practice and begin her life-long dream of becoming a dentist. She established her own general dental practice in 1989 and has enjoyed not only assisting patients with their dental needs but also getting to know each patient as an individual.
Dr. Elderkin has been married to her high school sweetheart, Steve, for thirty three years and has two wonderful children and one fabulous dog. In her spare time, Dr. Elderkin enjoys reading, quilting, stained glass work, making Chrismons, cooking and involvement with her church. She currently is an elder in her church, and is very active on many committees. Dr. Elderkin has been to Bolivia three times with dental/medical missions, where she loved treating patients and practicing her Spanish.
Dr. Elderkin is an active member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Raleigh/Wake County Dental Society and a local study club, composed of accomplished specialists in the dental field.
Dr. Claudel Pilon Giggey, DMD was born in Montreal, Canada and moved to Raleigh at the age of 4. Despite her native French Canadian background, Dr. Giggey has called Raleigh home for over 20 years. She didnt stray far for her undergraduate studies and earned a soccer scholarship to play for the womens soccer team at NC State University. She juggled the life of a student athlete while also earning her B.S. degree in Biological sciences, concentration in Human Biology with a minor in Spanish from NCSU in 2014. She then went on to attend East Carolina School of Dental Medicine and earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree in 2018 as the fourth graduating class. Dr. Giggey is excited to return home and start her career in dentistry while providing exceptional patient care and fulfilling the needs of the community. She enjoys connecting with patients on a personal level and forming strong and lifetime relationships with them.
Dr. Giggey married her husband, Patrick, on May 4th, 2019 in Charleston, South Carolina. Patrick is the district sales manager for North Carolina for Dell Technologies Data Center Business. Together they enjoy spending time with friends and family, staying active, traveling to different places, trying new restaurants, and of course cheering on the Wolfpack!
Dr. Giggey is an active member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Raleigh/Wake County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentists, and local study clubs. She enjoys staying up to date on the latest technology and education through continuing education classes.

My experience with Dr Elderkin's office was top notch from setting the appt. to addressing dental issues. She is very conscientious and a good listener when addressing concerns. The BEST experience I've ever had in a dental office. She the dentist I would trust with all my loved ones of all ages.

I cannot say enough praises for Dr. Elderkin and her staff. Dr. Elderkin is so thorough and takes the time to explain everything. She is very knowledgeable and experienced. I was accommodated at the last minute for an acute dental pain and swelling. The clinic workflow was so easy to navigate. Her staff is very kind and patient. I have a bad gag reflex and it's very hard for me to get X-rays. The staff exactly knew how to manage it and was able to get it without me having any issues. Highly highly recommend this practice!

Nobody loves going to the dentist, but you *can* love how well you're treated and the quality of their work. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Giggey and her staff. She's worked on two of my crowns and both have been relatively great experiences. In one case, she fixed a crown that a previous dentist put in that never felt good. And she confirmed her talent by putting in a new crown without missing a beat. I'm confident that Dr. Elderkin is just as good, but I highly recommend Dr. Giggey. Update, June 2021: I had some more dental work done, and to say it went smoothly is an understatement. If you're looking for a dentist, look no further!
