Interest: First and foremost, Dr. Cutler is a die-hard fan of the University of Michigan football and basketball programs. When he is not watching the Wolverines, he loves to coach his daughters in track and field. Outside of the office, Dr. Cutler enjoys visiting Yosemite and the Sierras where he is developing an affinity for landscape photography. He is also trying to hone his craft in landscape design and construction in the remodeling of his home property.
A Bay Area native, Dr. Lisa Grundmann established her practice in San Jose in 1997. As a general dentist, she is passionate about achieving maximum dental health for all her patients. She enjoys giving patients as much education and information about their teeth as possible, and then helps them make smart choices that work for them.Dr. Grundmann has been practicing dentistry since 1993 and has evolved over the years as new technology has flooded the dental field. Such changes as digital radiography, and sophisticated implant therapy have allowed Dr. Grundmann to offer state of the art solutions to her patients.
Interest: Dr. Grundmann has been a member of Dr. Lee Walker's Implant Residency Program for many years and has incorporated implant therapy in her practice with great success. She continues to study implants and offer advanced care.Dr. Grundmann has been married to Dr. Cutler and they have shared a practice since 1997. They have two daughters who will hopefully follow in their footsteps! During her days away from the practice, Dr. Grundmann enjoys exercising, skiing, and travelling. She also spends a considerable amount of time volunteering at school and in the community.

Absolutely amazing! Dr. Cutler is so wonderful and I so appreciate the way he explains everything to you and takes his time to answer any and all questions! He also sees my 8 year old daughter and made her feel so comfortable! She asks a million questions and he answers each one with a smile and even made her giggle throughout the whole cleaning. It was fantastic!! Love him, love his office!! And if you're lucky enough to have Leah clean your teeth, you will have a friend forever! She is so fun, thoughtful and thorough! Love her too!! BEST DENTIST EVER!!!

I've been coming to this dentist since I was a child -- 30+ years! This practice has lost some of their best hygienists due to pregnancy leave & retirement. I was booked with a woman I couldn't understand & didn't feel comfortable continuing to have this person work on my mouth. I asked her repeatedly to slow down & talk clearer. She had a thick accent & I simply couldn't understand her. Please understand that the woman was also wearing 2 masks, which made it worse. I didn't feel the communication would've gotten any better once her hands were in my mouth. If their is bad communication, why would I want that person working on my teeth? Let me be perfectly clear: this has nothing to do with her abilities. I had never met this person before & didn't have any pre-conceived notions. I have incredibly sensitive teeth & there have only been 2 hygienists I've truly felt comfortable with the entire time I've gone to this dentist. Unfortunately, as both of those people have left the practice, I had no choice but to schedule with someone else. As the patient, if I don't feel comfortable with the person working on my mouth, it is my right to leave. Period. They decided to charge me for the office visit anyway even though no services were rendered. The dentist lost my trust when he decided to share information from another patient, involving himself in private family matters, which made me feel uncomfortable & was unprofessional on his part. I'm not sure why he felt it was at all appropriate to get involved. Every time I went into the office after that, I felt like is he going to cross boundaries again? How would you feel if someone you went no contact with was going around talking to whoever would listen, giving one-sided information to your dentist? When I go to a dentist or doctor of any kind, I expect to be able to understand and feel comfortable with the person. I expect that person to stick to the reason for the visit during the visit. I've already asked for my patient files.

Fine for routine procedures, but not for specialized things. Had an issue that should have been easily diagnosed; they opted to grind down my teeth because they thought it was because of them rubbing against each other, when in reality it was a dying tooth nerve that a specialist elsewhere diagnosed and fixed. Now I am permanently unable to bite with my front teeth because the nerves got too close to the surface from the grinding and hurt on contact

I can't say enough about Dr. Cutler and his staff. They are True professionals that are hard to find these days. Dr. Cutler has a wonderful temperament and manner that puts you at ease and is surpassed only by his skills.

Dr Cutler is excellent at working on teeth and describing what he is doing while doing it to make me feel comfortable. He is a good listener and showed genuine concern while working on my teeth. The office is very nice with high ceilings and modern furnishings, and in a safe area. I am a big guy and the chairs were able to accommodate me which was fantastic! His assistants and front office manager are easy to deal with and helpful. I asked for a for extra details and to switch payment methods and they were able to accommodate. Overall a great experience as far as dentists go. I would highly recommend Dr Cutler's services!

I'm so grateful to be a patient at this practice. Dr. Cutler & Dr. Grundmann and staff always greet me with a warm welcome and treat me with respect and kindness. They are extremely knowledgable and helpful with all my questions. They explain procedures, step by step, and they help me understand (remind me in a most positive way) the long-term importance of good dental hygiene (like flossing benefits). They will go above and beyond to make sure my health is their highest priority. This shows because of the time they allow for each patient for cleaning which is longer than any other practice I know of and they also take what ever necessary time for any other procedure. .Dr. Cutler and Dr. Grundmann are extremely professional and make me feel comfortable-- I am always at ease in their presence. Speaking of making me feel comfortable, the hygiene in this office is outstanding. They purify the patient rooms for 10 minutes with a blue light air purifier in between each patient and continually through the appointment, the hygienists always wear a mask and a face shield. Their equipment is covered and incredibly sanitary. They take time to make sue their environment is completely safe. I'd go far and long to be a patient here, thankfully I'm right here in Silicon Valley and I don't have to.
