Dr. Preston Cutbirth graduated from Magnolia High School. After completing dental school at the UT Dental School in Houston he came home to Magnolia and opened the practice in 1990. In 2001, Dr. Jonathan Sanderson joined Dr. Cutbirth as a partner in the practice. Dr. Sanderson went to New Caney High School and UT San Antonio Dental School. Eleven years later, in 2012 Dr. Cutbirth and Dr. Sanderson were honored to start serving the Tomball community when they opened the Tomball office. Dr. Cutbirth grew up in Magnolia and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1976. As a child from the 60s a mouthful of cavities left him with a surprisingly good relationship with his dentist! I felt like I grew up in his office and had fun joking around and getting to know the dentist. I hadnt considered it as a profession, however, until I found myself without a job at age 25. A chance to re-evaluate my life and find Gods plan for me led me to take a personality test to find out what I wanted to do. Dentistry was at the top of the list so after I talked to my dentist and a friend at church who was in dental school I decided to go back to college and prepare to apply for admission to dental school. Fortunately, I was accepted into the dental program at The University of Texas Dental School in Houston in 1985.

Dr. Cutbirth was an expert at being a dental patient so it made him a very compassionate dental student at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston. He graduated in 1990 and moved back to Magnolia with his wife Elizabeth to open a dental practice.

Dr. Cutbirth and Elizabeth have three children. Theyre big Baylor University fans, where their older son Steven attended school. He and his wife Kelly now have a family of their own that includes their newest grandbaby, Ben. Dr. Cutbirth and Elizabeth travel to Austin as often as they can to visit Ben, Clara and Amelia (and Steven and Kelly too). Their middle child, Elizabeth Anne attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville and is now attending the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, Dr. Cutbirths alma mater. Their youngest son, Robert, recently graduated Baylor University, 2021.

Dr. Cutbirth enjoys spending time with Dr. Sanderson, who is his closest friend and golf buddy. The Cutbirth and Sanderson families get together as often as possible since becoming friends. Dr. Cutbirth and his family have attended First Baptist Church of Magnolia since moving back to Magnolia in 1990.

My mom was the office manager in a dental office for 20 years. I grew up in the practice, seeing what the dentist did. I liked meeting new people and working with my hands, and knew dentistry was something I would enjoy.

Dr. Sanderson hails from New Caney, Texas. He completed his undergraduate work at Sam Houston State University where he attended on a baseball scholarship. He then continued on to the University of Texas at San Antonio Dental School. He graduated in 1998. Dr. Sanderson served in the United States Air Force afterward, doing a one-year residency at Eglin Air Force Base followed by two years at Pope Air Force Base before settling down in Tomball.

Dr. Sanderson has enjoyed living and working in our community and watching his youngest patients grow up and graduate from high school and college. Our relationships with patients are the most rewarding part of the job. Dr. Sanderson stays up-to-date on the latest within dentistry by taking regular continuing education courses and participating in the Willowbrook .

Jonathan and Kristin Sanderson have been married for nineteen years and reside in Tomball. Their three kids, Shelby, Bailey, and Jon Austin keep them busy with volleyball, basketball and football games. Theyre also active members of Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball.

He continued on his path of disease prevention and detection there, taking elective coursework in oral medical examination. This philosophy has carried over into Dr. Copelands patient care at Cutbirth, Sanderson Family Dental Group, with extremely thorough evaluations being a part of each visit.

As a member of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association, Dr. Copeland stays up to date with the latest in dentistry. He has been involved with Give Vets a Smile and Give Kids a Smile, providing underserved children and veterans with high-quality oral health care.

Dr. Mohr always knew that she had an interest in helping people through healthcare. At the end of her undergraduate years, she participated in a mission trip to Central America where she had the opportunity to work with a dental team. The experience opened her eyes to a world of possibility. The rest, as they say, is history!

When Dr. Mohr isnt creating beautiful smiles at our practice, shes out enjoying Gods creation-gardening, camping, hunting and even snow skiing. She loves spending time with her family and can often be found taking on home-improvement projects. Her husband, Jason, is proud of her DIY drive and regularly jokes that the hardware store is her happy place.

Dr. Hoffman initially became interested in dentistry when she had her wisdom teeth removed. After the surgery, she decided to spend some time in a few dental offices shadowing local dentists. It was then that she realized how vital oral health is to systemic health and how important patient education is. For this reason, Dr. Hoffman seeks to understand patients dental concerns in hopes of providing meaningful answers to help overcome whatever may be preventing optimal oral health. Dr. Hoffman really enjoyed experiencing how life changing dentistry can be for each patient and couldnt wait to be a part of the profession.

Dr. Hoffman was born and raised in La Grange, TX where her family owns a New Holland tractor dealership. Her familys farm and working at the tractor dealership kept her busy as a young girl. Her favorite thing to do was feed the cows with her grandpa. She loves the outdoors and countryside, so its no surprise her small town roots brought her to Magnolia to practice dentistry.

Currently, Dr. Hoffman enjoys staying active by biking, working out, watersports, and scuba diving. She has completed the MS150 bike ride, ran a half marathon, and explored the Great Barrier Reef scuba diving! She also has a dog, Benny. Benny has tons of energy and can be a handful, but she wouldnt have it any other way.

Growing up, Dr. Goffs mother worked as the office manager in a dental practice. We were friends with the family dentist there, which spurred my interest in exploring dentistry as a career. Dr. Goff shadowed the dentist multiple times to get a sense of what being a dentist would look like.

In 2020, Dr. Goff earned his DDS from Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College. He chose the college because it was new and provided an opportunity to learn the newer state-of-the-art technologies, including laser dentistry, digital scanning and 3D printing.

For Dr. Goff, one of the most fulfilling aspects of being a dentist is helping patients who come to him in pain find the relief theyre seeking. He also enjoys helping patients achieve their smile goals and experience optimal oral health.

When hes not caring for his patients smiles, Dr. Goff enjoys spending time with his wife and their young son and daughter. The Wyoming native and outdoors enthusiast likes camping, fishing and hunting.

While working as a dental assistant for several years before starting dental school, Dr. Osborne developed a passion for dentistry and found it highly fulfilling to help others. For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a dentist is getting to meet new people and develop life-long relationships with my patients.

Dr. Osborne earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin in 2015. He then attended dental school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, as it was close to home. All of his family is from Houston.

When hes not helping craft beautiful smiles for his patients or helping them get out of pain, Dr. Osborne enjoys spending time with family. He likes going to the family farm and helping take care of their many animals. Dr. Osborne also enjoys hiking and working out, and is a Houston Astros fan.

Giving back is an important part of Dr. Osbornes life. He spends time volunteering with the charity Texas Mission of Mercy (TMOM), a mobile dental clinic that travels around the state providing basic dental care to those with limited resources or access to care. People are so appreciative when I help them, and its very humbling.

In her long-standing role at the practice, Elizabeth oversees our three locations. When we opened the practice in December 1990, I worked at the front desk, answering the phone between seeing patients and also serving as an assistant.

Kind and caring, Elizabeth ensures that her patients have a fantastic experience at every visit. She enjoys greeting them when they come in (she mainly works in our Magnolia location) and offering them a cup of cold water before they leave.

Elizabeth and Dr. Cutbirth have been married since 1980. At the young age of 15, Elizabeth prayed, God dont bring me anyone unless its who you want for me. She never dated anyone but Dr. Cutbirth and God revealed to her that he would indeed be her future husband.

In addition to having a strong marriage, Elizabeth and Dr. Cutbirth also enjoy a solid partnership. Hes a great man and its so easy to work with him. Elizabeth loves that her husband built his practice on treating people the way he wants to be treated.

When shes not juggling the multiple demands of being office manager, Elizabeth loves to spend time with Dr. Cutbirth, cook, work around their small ranch and stay active in their church. She also enjoys visiting with her three grown children (two sons and a daughter, as well as daughter in-law), all of whom were raised in our dental office.

Growing up in a small west Texas town, Melinie has always loved the community feel that comes with living in a place where it seems that everyone knows each other. In 1988, she moved to Magnolia and raised her two sons there. She enjoys seeing familiar faces out and about in the community-whether at the grocery store, sporting events or church.

Before joining our practice in 2003, she initially was offered the position of hygiene coordinator. Through the years, shes had other roles, including front desk and financial coordinator. In 2017, when our Huntsville location opened, she was named Chief Financial Officer. She assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in March 2020.

With our three locations, Melinie is committed to making sure that our patients experience is the same at each office-an excellent one. From the time they call the office to the moment they sit in the dental chair to when they walk out the door, we try to forge and maintain a positive patient-office connection.

Melinie also is committed to ensuring that patients are educated and informed and know what their insurance benefits cover. Communication is key. We strive to keep patients informed of out of pocket expenses.

Melinie loves being part of the Cutbirth, Sanderson Family Dental Group team as she appreciates our adherence to our core values, which include treating people how we would want to be treated. Melinie enjoys our friendly atmosphere and helps to ensure that our patients feel like family.

Through the years, Melinie has retained that love for small-town living. She enjoys visiting with patients and building lasting relationships with them. Its a perk of my job that I get to see people that Ive known for years who are still coming to the practice.

To see people come in-especially those who were apprehensive about going to the dentist-and then once their work is complete, they realize that theyre not going to wait as long to return because their experience was pleasant-I love hearing that. Its fulfilling that were helping people take care of their health and changing their mindset about going to the dentist.

Outside of Cutbirth, Sanderson Family Dental Group, Melinie loves to travel to see her grown sons. One is a church pastor in England. He and his wife have a little girl. Melinies other son is in the Navy, living in Georgia with his wife and three children.

Starting at an early age, Emily knew she wanted to do big things in life. In 2008, Emilys family (which include both parents and older brother) were offered a great opportunity moving from the small town of Rainham, England to the sweet country town of Magnolia, Texas for her fathers work and thus beginning her greatest journey.

In January of 2019, Emily was blessed to be welcomed into the Cutbirth and Sanderson dental family, where she started out working and training as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Sanderson. After a few short months she was then promoted to being both Melinie and Elizabeths assistant handling back office duties.

Emilys favorite thing about being part of the Cutbirth and Sanderson family group is how much each and every staff member cares for their patients. She states, I love considering that even how much the practice has grown in the few years Ive been here, the owners, the doctors, the staff, everyone still treats our patients like family and puts their needs first every time to ensure they are taken care of, its just amazing to be a part of.

Since being in her current position as administrative assistant, Emily has been able to grow more both in the dental field and as a person. She is currently training under Elizabeth Cutbirth to take on a bigger role at the office in overseeing the three locations needs.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys a good balance of either staying home relaxing with her fur baby Nitro and watching movies or going on hikes and traveling around the country while camping out under the stars in her Roof Top Tent, on top of her vehicle.

After entering into dentistry in 1989, Stephanie had been living and working in Houston with no idea where it would take her or the adventures that awaited her. In 2001, Stephanie and her family moved to the small town of Magnolia, to raise their two amazing children, Collin and Shilo.

Stephanie states, When I walked into the doors at Cutbirth and Sanderson in 2008, I felt very right at home and so welcomed. Stephanie did state she had taken a small break from dentistry during that time period but knew deep down this is the path that was made for her.

Stephanie worked right alongside Dr. Cutbirth for 10+ years as his Dental Assistant, all the while getting to see his wonderful character as well as his care and compassion for our patients, she states.

Stephanies two children are now adults and she is so excited to see what the future holds for them as they set their paths for each of their own upcoming adventures in their lives as well asgetting ready to start each of their own families.

Deena joined the Cutbirth and Sanderson Dental team in July of 2020 as the Financial Coordinator for our Tomball location, where she continues to work now as Office Manager. Deena states, I feel blessed and so excited to be part of such an amazing and talented team.

My daughter had found you first. She was scared to death, but afterwards sang your praises. When I needed help trying to save my teeth I came to them. Everyone is so friendly, compassionate and kind. I enjoy my visits and that's saying a lot given that it's a dentist office. He is good and he's quick and he is sweet, sweet.

I'm usually scared of going to the dentist, but the team here is amazing, effective and incredibly comforting. They thoroughly address patient concerns and are very informative, which is a blessing if you're skittish about dentists like I am. The atmosphere in their practice is home-y, the reception staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating, and the dentists/hygienists are very punctual, which is rare in medical/dentistry fields in my experience. I drive nearly an hour specifically to go to these folks, and it's worth it. I definitely recommend them.
