At the dental practice of Cusumano & Stuver - Dentistry of Arlington, we are proud to introduce you to one of the most experienced dental teams in the area. We take the time to get to know our patients and to ensure a comfortable and relaxing experience.
Through his many professional affiliations, Dr. Cusumano has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education courses in all phases of dentistry. He is an active member in the Arlington and Ballston communities and taught at theVCU School of Dentistry for eight years.
He graduated from Virginia Tech University with a degree in Finance and then went on to attend Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Michael is passionate about dentistry and brings the most up to date knowledge and skills to our practice. He has volunteered with various service groups including the Missions of Mercy through the Virginia Dental Association.

My family and I have had Dr Cusumano as a dentist for over 25 yrs. In that time they provided excellent service, with proficient staff led by a great dentist. On occasions they have gone far beyond expectations, and always with the patients best interests. Terrific team.

I recently broke one of my front teeth and have a recurring sensitivity problem with a molar which has a huge filling in it. I went to my regular dentist who I have been seeing for many years to address both of these issues. After three weeks, he sent me a plan and very costly estimates for several ways to address the broken tooth including one estimate to replace three other teeth purely for cosmetic reasons. He did not address the problem with the molar. The plan would require an extended period of time to implement, additional visits with an oral surgeon and many, many thousands of dollars. I sought a second opinion and was referred by a friend to Dr. Cusumano. I obtained a very timely appointment for this morning. I found all the staff I met to be particularly customer-oriented and very helpful and warm. Dr. Cusumano has a warm but very professional demeanor which inspires confidence. Upon leaving, I received a plan to address all my dental problems with a much shorter timeframe, without involving an oral surgeon, with a much lower cost estimate, and an appointment for next week. So far, I am absolutely delighted with the attention and service I received and with all the staff I met at this practice!!

I have seen both Dr. Cusumano and his son Dr Michael and they were both the most sincere and kind dentists I have ever met. Dr. Cusumano was able to fit me in for a dental procedure before I moved and got everything worked out for me before I left. BIG shoutout to their billing team (Nancy) and Dr Michael for working through denied claims, doing peer to pee reviews and advocating for me. They are truly all outstanding people and I am so thankful for them and all they have done for me!!

I have been going there for over 10 years. The place is clean and has all the latest technology. Dr. Cusumano is knowledgeable and helps to provide a pleasant dental experience. All of the staff are also amazing. My hygenist, Megan is funny, caring, and gentle. I highly recommend them.

I've been going to Cusumano and Stuver for 20 years and I've never had a reason to think of going to another practice. Everyone from reception, to the business office, to the hygienists, and the dentists are the friendliest and easiest to deal with. If you're in the area, this is where you should go.

This practice wants patients to have healthy and beautiful smiles. Atmosphere is welcoming, pleasant and super-professional. If you've avoided proper dental care like I did for a long time, these are the people to see. They won't judge or scold, just elevate your dental health and smile to the best it can be. I have recommended Dr Joe and team to family who live in MD, and there's a reason they don't mind making the trip to this northern VA practice. Quality dental care matters.
