In 2005, utilizing the latest technology, Dr. Cusumano established this practice that is focused on clinical excellence. The office provides oral surgery patients a comfortable and relaxing environment that utilizes digital radiography to diagnose problematic teeth, wisdom teeth and jaw pathology; IV / General Anesthesia for total patient comfort; soft tissue treatment with the comfort of a diode laser, and a surgical suit for the placement of dental implants to replace missing teeth. Dr. Cusumano's objective for this practice is to provide first-quality dental care in a state-of-the-art environment with careful attention to detail and deep personal respect.
I graduated from Appalachian State with a degree in Exercise Science and am currently in the process of applying to physical therapy school. At COS, I'm the sterilization tech/second assistant, meaning I make sure everyone has clean instruments and provide an extra set of hands during surgeries. I enjoy the fast-paced environment and being able to put my multitasking and organizational skills to use while helping to ensure the practice is providing our best patient care possible. In my free time, I really enjoy collecting houseplants, tending to my garden (really any outdoor activity), watching sports, and playing with my nephews, Weston and Tucker. I especially can't wait for Appalachian football to make its return; go 'neers!
My name is Taryn and I'm a 31 year old Cary native! I have been an oral surgeon's assistant for the past 10 years, and have been working with Dr. Cusumano since 2014! Dr Cusumano's office in Cary was able to squeeze me in for an emergency tooth extraction on a Friday and I couldn't be more thankful. Dr French was very polite and professional and got my aching tooth out within minutes with no pain. I definitely recommend his offices if you're looking for any oral surgery to be done.

I got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday by Dr French. To say it was an awful experience was an understatement. I went in with elevated blood pressure from nerves and was expected to be put completely to sleep and was NOT. I was not prepared for the sounds and pressure during this procedure, I was prepared to be put completely asleep, from him having to hit something with a hammer to get my tooth out to him pushing against my face with the instrument used to pull my tooth out all while awake and I left crying from just being terrified because I was not given enough medication and was completely aware of what was going on. Dr French also had no bedside manner and didn't say a word to me about that he decided not to put me all the way to sleep and didn't speak to me at all after the surgery. I wish I could forget this whole experience but sadly I can't.

Very easy and calming! I had tried another place before this, and they were kind of rude, didn't answer my questions, and they didn't even take out my teeth! Apparently I was moving around too much. This place was exponentially better! They treated me patiently and kindly, and gave me very clear post-op instructions. They even gave me a numbing spray at the IV site! I would recommend Dr. Cusumano and Mrs. Taryn to anyone!

I went recently for biopsy. Worst experience I've had at a doctor's office in a long time. Dr. Cusumano himself has terrible bedside manner. He nit picked something I filled out on the med history form and started the appointment by basically insulting me. Then I waited two weeks to get biopsy results when they said it would only take a week. think there's terrible communication among the staff/can't keep consistent staffing because I had to leave a message for the office manager in order to get my biopsy results. Finally received call from Dr. Cusumano explaining results and he told me they'd had the results for several days & someone should have already called me. He also told me I was supposed to receive pathology report via email. It's now been a month and I still don't have pathology report.

My mom recently had a surgical extraction with Dr Cusumano her experienced was amazing!! The Dr. And the staff was so professional but kind and helpful!! Her procedure was over before she knew it!! The staff were great with her care thank you for taking wonderful care of my mom !!

Please go somewhere else. My experience here was an absolute nightmare. They were hours behind for my appointment and have no bedside manner. I have never experienced such excruciating pain. They didn't follow up and caused me numerous problems I didn't have before. Avoid at all costs.

I live 2 and 1/2 hours away, making this appointment was important to me and when speaking with the front desk clerk (who was extremely professional and kind) I was assured that all my needs were going to be met. Arriving, I had a wonderful experience with staff. However, speaking with the orthodontist was a huge difference and disappointment. He was condescending and sarcastic. He asked me obvious questions like I was a small child and I walked away with ZERO of my needs met. The faculty and staff are wonderful but that particular doctor brought the entire facility and what I was promised to a failing grade. Because of one individual, the whole place suffered. Please be aware of all correct information before making the trip, and be aware of the pompous and unprofessionalism of a particular doctor with tiny feet.
