Dr. Dewhurst has been a dentist for years and has been through several post-graduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving his DDS degree. His emphasis on patient comfort as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry enable him to provide his patients with the best quality of care in the field. Dr. Dewhurst has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and root canal treatments.

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and started my career in 1994. In 2001, I joined Custom Dental, and love being part of this team. I treasure my time with our patients: it is an honor to serve each and learn about them and their families. Likewise, I find it a joy to work with Dr. Dewhurst and my coworkers. We have a truly exceptional team! We enjoy one another and are always laughing and having fun. This creates a warm and friendly atmosphere for our patients, who enjoy their time here!
I have been married to my husband Dustin for 27 years. We have two boys Gage and Gavin. We love to spend time at the lake with family and friends. If were not at the lake, we are usually doing something involving cattle or eating at a Mexican restaurant. Im also an animal lover! I have a Shih Tzu named Mylee, Ronald a stray, my pet longhorn Nacho, Simba my cat, and miniature donkeys Jack and Jenny!
I attended Dental Assisting School through the Custom Dental Program and have been with this practice since 2019. Working in our clinic, I assist the doctor and hygienists with patient care and procedures. I love that I am able to interact with our patients and help them have positive enjoyable visits. Custom Dental is like a little family. Everyone gets along so well, and we all love taking care of our patients!
Over the years here, our team has become my second family. I cant imagine a better group of people to spend my days with! I enjoy getting to know our patients and making them smile and letting them know we are always there for them!
I have been married to my husband Thad for almost 30 years. We have two sons, one daughter, and five grandchildren who bring us so much joy. My time outside of work is spent with my family and managing several cattle ranches.
Joining Custom Dental in 2007, I am responsible for organizing all the activities that facilitate a smooth-running office. The most important aspect of my job, however, is ensuring our patients have a five-star dental experience. Its not hard; the Perry team has worked together for a long time and enjoys providing the best possible service while getting to know patients on a personal level.

In 2020 I had to have my wisdom teeth removed on my bottom jaw. This was after two full years of me complaining of jaw pain so strong to the point my jaw was literally swollen and I could not eat or sleep. I made several appointments with Dewhurst and every time he would tell me that it was because I was not flossing my teeth. I flossed five. times. a day. There was literally no reason for my gums to have been the issue when the pain was centralized in my JAW. Dewhurst on multiple occasions would even stab my gums with his tools and then when I said to stop because that hurt, he would tell me that it was because of the flossing. Again, that was not the problem. It came to a head in September of 2020, when I physically was unable to open my jaw. My jaw had become so swollen that I could not open it. I had to hold ice packs against my face to bring the swelling down. My mother had to call the dentists office and argue with them for a referral for THIRTY minutes until they relented and I was given a referral to Enid in order for me to get a second opinion on my wisdom teeth. I went in, they took some x rays, and low and freaking behold, it was in fact my wisdom teeth. Not only was it my wisdom teeth, it was two enormous cysts in my jaw. They put me into surgery the next day and not only did I feel immediately better, but I was told if I had gone longer and the cysts had gotten any larger, I would most likely have had to have parts of my jaw replaced. This is my review of you, Mr. Dewhurst and your lack of sobriety that has everyone around you in the medical field laughing at you. I hope you have a wonderful day and hopefully your lack professionality will adjust because I may not have taken my instance to the state, but someday, someone will. And God have mercy on you when they do.

Doctor Dewhurst and his team are some of the most caring kind individuals I've ever met. I would recommend them to anyone looking for any sort of dental work at all whatsoever.. I was blessed by them and know that anyone else that are to go to them would also be blessed. Every single one of them are incredible and can even change lives!!!!

Dr Dewhurst is a wonderful doctor and his staff are amazing! We have been going there for as long as I can remember. Dr. Dewhurst is a compassionate dr that cares about his patients, and when you have fear they are excellent at making you feel comfortable and relaxed. Would recommend him 100%

Front desk help was awesome and the assistant was wonderful but the Dr. Was rude and he said things he shouldn't of said. He was out of line and I've never felt like that at any doctors office before. It changed my whole feeling about the office. Would not recommend even if you were in pain. Plus I was there with my daughters boy friend and the whole time he kept calling him by the wrong name. After all that why would I recommend.

Despite being anxious about the visit, the staff was kind and courteous to every member of my family, the procedures were non-invasive and for my children, they were made to be exciting. Results of our visit, as well as plans for future visits, were clearly explained to us. I highly recommend this facility to anyone searching for a new dentist.

We were referred by friends and were both pleased and impressed with Custom Dental in Perry, OK. ALL of the staff members were extremely friendly and courteous. We weren't "shamed" for any issues or concerns as I have seen by some other places in the past. From the receptionist, to the hygienist, the doctor, and everyone else, I feel that my family of five was very well taken care of by each member of their team. They seem far more advanced in many of the tools that they use in their field than any other dentist I have been to as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Went in very anxious about a tooth removal. Despite being difficult to pull I experienced very tiny amount of pain and after 12 hours later there is no soreness what so ever. Some of the nicest staff as well.

Dr Dewhurst and his team are absolutely the best dental ten I have had the pleasure of meeting. You will not find a nicer man. What's so cool is they are trained in every facet of dentistry including implants and braces. You owe it to your family to give these folks a try.
