I see being a dentist as a window to connect with people: I look beyond a persons teeth and oral health to see who they are, to listen to and get to know him or her. My patients are, first and foremost, individuals who deserve to be heard and valued. It is my honor to share in their stories, learn from their experiences, and be their partners as they achieve stronger oral health. I consider my patients to be my friends and hope they come to feel the same about me.
As a child, I suffered because I had bad teeth. I didnt socialize much and had low self-esteem, too. When a dentist improved my dental health, the doctor also increased my self-confidence, and I knew I wanted to share that experience with others. I promised myself to help as many people as I can, by helping them to get their smiles back, along with stable function.
My ultimate goal is to make every patient feel at home in our office, knowing they can trust us with their oral health needs. My team shares this goal: we are not here to do a job. Instead, we are here to make a difference for each person who steps through our doors. Together, we offer first-class dentistry with the Lord as our guide.
Like other sciences, dentistry is constantly evolving; ongoing research yields new techniques, materials, and technological breakthroughs. It is my responsibility to stay current on these developments in order to provide patients with the best dental care, most pleasant experience, and strongest results.
Born in Tehran, Iran, I came to the United States in August 1994. Dallas has been home since 2010, the same year I married my lovely wife, Sarah. In 2016, the Lord gave us our beautiful son, Benjamin.
These days, if Im not in the office, Im most likely with Benjamin and Sarah. Family time and family life is most important to me. I also make time to run and bike with some friends, and enjoy many church-related activities and community service projects through the church. My church, and the community it offers, connect me with God and groundme in a way that allows me to see the real world clearly and how best to serve others.

Dr Rad and his team went above and beyond to help my daughter feel as comfortable and calm as possible during her teeth extraction. She is an adult with autism and epilepsy who has had terrible problems with her teeth for years. She has been treated terribly by dentists in the past. She had great anxiety when she went for her visit with Dr Rad and he was so incredibly kind and gentle with her. This is the first time that she has not cried or shaken all the way home! Our whole family will now be patients!

I've been coming to Custom Dental for years and Dr. Rad is great, but the whole team is wonderful as well. I love Bien my hygienist! Also, the front office staff go above and beyond and I have a story. At the beginning of the pandemic, my 1 year old fell and knocked her tooth almost out. Everywhere was closed (March 2020) and I left messages at several pediatric dentists and no one was calling me back. I called Custom Dental and they picked up. I begged the woman at the desk to let me bring my daughter in. They said it would be best for her to see a pediatric dentist and when I told her I couldn't find anyone open, she said she would call me back. She called me back just 10 minutes later and told me the name of a pediatric dentist that could see me right then. We drove there immediately and they were able to see us and saved my daughter's tooth! I'll always be thankful for their kindness and assistance when I needed it most!

I have the biggest dentist phobia And let's say that was taken away by Dr.Jay Rad and his wonderful staff! I'm looking forward to going back for the Rest of my treatments and dental care! I don't do reviews but hands down this is an amazing dentist office. I love the staff and the Dr. I was very nervous and his assistant was very welcoming. I felt like home. I recommend them to everyone. Great work. Y'all just gained another patient.

I visited Custom Dental or Carrollton as a first time patient today, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone was very kind, and genuinely interested in getting to know me and making my visit as comfortable as possible. Dr. Jay visited with me as well and took great care to explain my dental assessment thoroughly, and was happy to answer my additional questions. I was also presented with a detailed quote of the cost of any potential procedures needed (they do dental implants in house) with my insurance factored in, before I could even ask, "How much will that cost?" I felt very comfortable here and would highly recommend them for your dental care.

My first phone call was from Bailey, her voice was so welcoming and instantly put me at ease. I had to reschedule twice due to my work schedule and they were so understanding. Once I got to my visit I knew I needed A LOT of work done, Robbie and Keisha took the time to workout my insurance benefits so that I could get the most work done with insurance making my out of pocket expenses doable. Dr Rad took the the time to explain my treatment plan to me and quickly and efficiently got to work. Let's be honest going to the dentist is a dreaded task but my visit was the best possible outcome that I could imagine. Dr rad made sure that I was comfortable throughout my treatment and I truly appreciate that. Amazing team and outstanding care!

I love the entire staff here! They are all so polite and helpful. I ask many questions and they always answer them all with great knowledge. Dr. Rad is what I would call quality over quantity. I had a ton of work that needed to be done and he booked half of a day just for me so he could focus on making my teeth better. I will be staying at this dentist office for any work I need done. Thank you Dr. Rad and staff!

Everyone was friendly. They were very professional and the faculty is well kept. You'll feel comfortable while they work with you. They give advice and recommendations that makes you feel positive feedback. I'll be going here from now on. I recommend this dental office.

The staff was incredibly kind to my son & me. Dr. Rad was very thorough in his explanations of what he was doing and about the treatment plans. He even called that night to make sure I was doing well after having a filling replaced. We will definitely come back!

Came into Custom Dental for a second opinion on a tooth extraction and implant. Dr. Rad and his staff made me feel welcomed and cared for. The procedure and plan were explained and the full cost was made clear from the get go. The office is bright and clean and professional with high ceilings that make the place feel really open and comfortable.

I'd originally visited custom dental of Carrollton to get a broken tooth looked at and I instantly felt like I was in good hands. They were able to see me for a complete evaluation and work on my main concern which was my broken tooth the same day. The doctor was so gentle that I couldn't even feel a thing. They're so fast but never compromise the quality of their work. I am so happy I was able to find a dental office that I can honestly trust and lean on for many years to come. If I could give them 10 stars I definitely would.

I've been terrified of the dentist my whole life. But these guys made me feel comfortable the second I walked through the door! The entire staff is amazing. Kisha greeted me and instantly made me feel at home, Robby made insurance easy to understand and had such a warm personality, Baylie is a cutie and so sweet, Bien was gentle and my teeth have never felt more clean, and Dr. Rad is one of a kind! He really took the time to explain things, was very kind and caring, and did my fillings pain free! 10/10 recommend

Dr. Rad and his staff are as rad as his name implies. My 9 yr old had fun With the staff and they were quick to see she loves to be informed on everything happening. They were so gentle when extraction an infected baby tooth. I wish I had a dentist as great as these guys when I was a kid. They also did me back in March and they were just as great. I plan on telling anyone I can in the area to get a custom smile at Custom Dental. We will be sticking with this clinic for a long time. Thanks guys!!!!
