Born in Chicago, Illinois, but raised in Plano, Texas, Dr. Houari is a true Texan at heart. Dr. Houari knew from an early age that dentistry was his true calling. He attended the University of Texas at Dallas for his undergraduate career where he graduated with honors. He then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery where he also graduated with honors. Throughout his dental career Dr. Houari has been practicing and advocating quality dental care for all patients.
Though Dr.Houari loved his time in San Antonio, he always knew that Dallas was where he wanted to settle down. He hopes to continue to serving his patients in the McKinney and Frisco area for a very long time to come. During his free time, Dr. Houari enjoys playing soccer, working out, exploring his hometown of Dallas, spending time with family, and rooting for his Dallas Cowboys!
Born and raised in Medellin, Colombia, Dr. Rendon now calls Frisco, TX, his home. He lives with his wife, Dr. Maria Castano-Rendon, and they have two lovely daughters. While his greatest pleasure comes from spending time with his family, he also enjoys cycling and traveling.
A strong believer in giving back to his community, Dr. Rendon participates in the Give Kids a Smile Program through the North Texas Dental Society. This program offers free dental services to children in need in our community.
Dr. Juan Rendon loves that his chosen profession allows him to make a real difference every day in his patients lives. He has a great opportunity to improve both the appearance and the self-esteem of the people in his community. He enjoys his work with patients of all ages and strives to make every patients orthodontic experience a pleasant one.
Dr. Abi is a board-eligible pediatric dentist who believes in the early prevention of dental decay and educating families about importance of healthy teeth. She uses age-appropriate techniques to provide exceptional care for your children. Getting to know the uniqueness of each child, building a trusting relationship, and understanding each familys individual needs are essential to how she delivers gentle dentistry and creates positive dental experiences.
Dr. Abi was raised in Maryland, moved to the Dallas area in 2010 and considers herself Texan at heart. She graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to attain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Abi completed her pediatric dental residency at Saint Louis University. During residency she gained knowledge in all phases of pediatric dentistry, including comprehensive oral health care for the well child, the medically compromised child and the child with special health care needs. Extensive experience was provided in the areas of sedation, analgesia and general anesthesia to deliver quality dental care.
Dr. Nicholas (Nick) Rodriguez originates from McAllen, Texas and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Baylor University in 2014. He received his Master ofPublic Health at The University of Texas School of Public Health in 2018 and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2019. He then completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry in 2021 at Harvard School of Dental Medicine/Boston Childrens Hospital, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Rodriguez is passionate about working with apprehensive patients and those with special healthcare needs. He values the importance of teaching families about oral hygiene and dietary practices to prevent cavities and gum disease. His passions for public health and pediatrics go hand in hand when it comes to treating his patients.
Dr. Rodriguez is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and Hispanic Dental Association.

We went here for the first time. It was a pleasant experience. They were quick to get us in during check-in. Our dentist was very nice and friendly. My 6 months old baby received a stuffed animal for his visit. That was a plus.

Simply amazing. This place has been a true gem having everything "mouth related" under one roof. Adults and kids dental and ortho all in one! The staff has been nothing but warm, sweet and accommodating. Dr. Houari is gentle and patient with all my kids ranging from ages 3-10. I love the convenience in location. The office is super clean and well equipped in all things entertaining kids and adults while getting your dental work done. My mom, sister and her kids also see Dr. H. Definitely worth coming here.

Dr Ibrahim Houari is the best dentist, he is knowledgeable and caring, after my dentist retired, he referred me to Dr Ibrahim. He will be my family Dentist for long time, I trust him and trust his advice. My wife has sensitive teeth, he listened to her and made her feel comfortable during check up and cleaning. Great team at his office, thank you Jordyn and team.

Dr. Ibrahim Houari got me with patient and very positive, I explained him my concerns about my teeth, he kept smile and stayed positive. He treated me like I'm the only one in the clinic,I went out on time , even if I got in little bit late (cause he's taking care for every customer in his clinic). Thank you for much care Dr. Houari.

My experience at Custer Family Dental has been amazing both personally and for my Family. They have been treating my kids since 2017 and the experience has been wonderful. They have also been very accommodating to my wife and I as well. In case in particular my had a broken filling and was in extreme pain; they worked her in last minute and even stayed overtime to make take care of her and make her pain free. Furthermore, my service has been by far the best ever! I'm a middle age adult male who substantial crowding to my upper teeth along with a high canine. After reading countless blogs over the years, I honestly lost hope the issue being resolved could be resolved. However, I schedule an appointment with the Dr. Rendon to get his opinion and he felt confident that I can get the smile I always wanted. After only 7 months with braces I witnessed a SUBSTANTIAL difference in my teeth. I felt more confident smiling than ever before. I utterly amazed at the rapid results. I look forward for the day I can take the braces off. However, I still smile as if they are already off because I can see the difference already. Lastly, I have two Autistic boys who unfortunately needed to be seen in a more conducive setting, but they were very patient and willing to try to accommodate them. Thank Custer Family Dental for everything and see you 7 weeks!
