Dr. Sandra Younan decided early in life that she wanted to be a dentist and pursued her studies in achieving that goal. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for her undergraduate and dental education. After completing dental school in 2003, Dr. Younan worked as an associate and a few years later started up her private practice in Riverwoods, IL. She then followed up with our second location in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
Dr. Younan's goal in setting up her private practice is to provide excellent care to patients. Her focus has always been on preventative care and educating patients on the correlation between oral health and total body health. She stays current with continuing education courses and uses the latest dental technology that benefit her patients.
Dr. Jennifer Mullarkey graduated with her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and continued her education at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health where she received her degree in Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Mullarkey completed a General Practice Residency Program at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn where she was awarded the Excellence in Prosthodontics award, the Pediatric Dentistry award and the Community Service award.
Dr. Mullarkey loves all aspects of dentistry and regularly takes courses to improve her dental skills and stay up to date with the latest technology and techniques. She was recently selected as one of theTop 40 under 40dentists in the United States for 2018. Dr. Mullarkey enjoys treating everyone from children to adults and prides herself on making their experience at the dentist a positive one.
One of Dr. Mullarkeys many passions is community service and volunteer work. She is on the board of the international volunteer organization Access Health Africa and travels annually to Malawi, Africa providing dental treatment in rural villages and refugee camps. In her spare time, Dr. Mullarkey is an avid foodie who enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends. Fun fact, Dr. Mullarkey is a classically trained ballerina and also holds a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Most importantly, she is a diehard Michigan Wolverine fan. GO BLUE!

Annie and Dr.Mullarkey were the best dental combo I have ever had! They both made going so easy and relaxing! Cusp is by far the best experience you will ever have going to the dentist!

The entire staff - from front desk to hygienist to dentists - is A+. I was very impressed by the amount of communication about my appointments including how long each visit would take so I planned accordingly. In addition to that, they tell you ahead of time how much you will be charged out of pocket for upcoming procedures. Both Dr. Mullarkey and Dr. Younan are great at their job, very professional, and so easy to talk to. I cannot recommend this place enough. Definitely give them a try - you won't be disappointed.

I recently went to Cusp to get a cleaning after many years of not being to the dentist. My cleaning with Annie was such an amazing experience - she was welcoming, gentle, and amazing at what she does. Today, I went back to get some fillings and Dr. Mullarkey and her team did a wonderful job of making it incredibly quick, painless, and actually enjoyable. I used to be nervous about going to the dentist, but I really look forward to going to Cusp because I know it is always an exceptional experience. The front office staff have always been so willing to answer my many questions and help me through every process along the way. If I could give more than five stars, I would! Thank you, Cusp Dental!

If I could give Cusp Dental more than 5 stars, I would. Going to Cusp and seeing Dr. Younan and her team is like going to visit family. Everyone is welcoming, sincere, and extremely accommodating, the facility is always spotlessly clean, and the laughs and smiles are endless! I've been seeing Dr. Yonan for 16+ years and can attest that this is both a child and adult friendly dentist office! I will soon be moving closer to the city where they have a second office. If they didn't, I'd still drive the extra miles to come to the suburbs to continue seeing this outstanding team. Love, love, love!!

The dental care, cleanliness and medical personal is excellent. However, the office stuff is spoiling what could be a great experience. I few weeks got an email with a bill for $40 and a threat of finance charges for not paying it by the end of the month. This was for a service that was done over 6 month ago. It was not an extra service, just part of the regular cleaning. I was told that they submitted the bill to insurance and this part of it got denied... I asked why and they told me to figure it out with my insurance provider... After a couple rounds of back and forth trying to get them to resolve this, I paid the $40 and cancelled all future appointments for my family. I rather not have to worry about what charges they will hit me next time. Also, while ago (just before COVID) I got a confirmed case of flu, and called to reschedule my appointment so that I won't get anyone else sick. The front office person immediately wanted to charge me for rescheduling etc.... I offered to still come in even though I was not feeling well, but I could still make it, just asked to make sure that would be OK with the doctor. That seemed to knock some sense into them... That one incident was something I was willing to overlook, but now it is a pattern of being confrontational with customers that keeps repeating. The part of this business that does actual dental work, the hygienists and doctors are always pleasant and professional. Even my kid loved it. If Cusp could get their office stuff to care about what the patient needs instead of treating patients as an enemy that is making them do stuff, they would not have lost two customers.

The worst Front desk staff possible.. The doctors except the one who works on Tuesdays are all uneducated and shady.. They don't care about helping you they just want money and don't help you out when your in pain. Everything their is also outdated so do yourself a favor and don't go their .

Cusp Dental makes visiting the dentist like stopping by to visit old friends. They are friendly, courteous and always good for a laugh. Most importantly, they do GREAT dental work. You'd be hard pressed to find better, more professional and more educated dentists than Dr. Mullarkey and Dr. Younan. Their commitment to excellence is passed on to their staff as well. I always know I'm in the best of care at Cusp Dental, my lifelong choice for all of my dental needs.

This was my first visit to Cusp Dental (Buffalo Grove) and I was very impressed. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. My dental hygienist, Annie, was superb. She was very thorough during the intake process and she made me feel comfortable by explaining every step along the way. I also met with Dr. Younan who was so pleasant and welcoming. They provided excellent care and advice. I highly recommend this office.

I can go on and on about how amazing Cusp Dental is, especially Dr. Mullarkey and Kim! They explained everything to me in great detail, they showed me what they were doing in real time, and they use technology to their advantage. My appointments are enjoyable and very educational. Dr. Mullarkey and Kim are efficient, personable, calming, and fun! It's always a great experience.

Had my first visit with Dr Younan and hygienist Annie today- they are both excellent! I don't think I've had an exam this thorough before. My children and husband started with Cusp a few years before me, I don't know what took me so long to switch over

Dr Younan and her staff are incredible! From the moment you check in with Daisy, to my cleanings with Kim, they make you feel like you're spending time with friends. I have significant dental anxiety, does anyone enjoy going to the dentist? Dr Younan is so kind, gentle and efficient. I completely trust her and her work is flawless. I recommend her to everyone. So thankful I found her.

My experience at Cusp Dental has been nothing short of amazing! Annie my hygienist is the best of the best! I've been to several different hygienists with other dentists and no comes close to Annie. Friendly, thorough and most importantly excellent at what she does. She walks you thru every single step of the process and has a very gentle touch. Dr. Mullarkey is also fabulous! If you're looking for a great team of dentists and hygienists in the buffalo grove area this is it! I've finally found my go to dentist.

I have been seeing the team at Cusp for over 2 years now. I am always impressed by not only how thorough their examination is, but also by how kind and personable the staff is. I actually look forward to teeth cleanings now as I know it will be an efficient and enjoyable experience.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST DENTIST OFFICE!! I have never seen such an amazing, friendly, caring and diligent team! They really make you feel welcome and appreciate you being there. You walk in and everyone is smiling and happy to see you. So professional and go above and beyond on everything they do! My previous dentists would always try to upcharge and look for ways to gouge you and say you need fillings for the smallest of groves in your teeth (I naturally have really deep groves) and previous dentist tried to say I needed like 3 or 4 fillings without even taking an X-ray to be sure and to add to that they would rush thru the cleaning process and spend not even 5 minutes. When I came to dr Sandra her team took X-rays and spends a solid 45 minutes getting in there and picking and cleaning at each and every tooth! And in the end come to learn that I didn't actually need any fillings after all! They take the time to introduce themselves and really take the time to get to know you. This is the type of place where you feel like you are part of the family and not just a walking dollar sign. Their office is spacious, new up to date, very clean, and their chairs are so comfortable and even have heating and massage settings!!! I used to dread going to the dentist and now I look forward to it as much as I would going in for a mani/pedi!

It's a shame only five stars are available! The best dental office around!! My family and I have been coming here for years. Dr. Younan is the best and she's got skills!!! Educated, knowledgeable, trustworthy and always does what's best for the patient!!! Kim, my hygienist is phenomenal and a perfectionist!!! Daisy and Nicole at the front desk are the best two gals I know who are willing to accommodate patients as much as possible! Great atmosphere all around! Cusp dental makes you fell stress free while going to the dentist!!!

Dr. Younan and Kim (hygienist) are truly the best! Whenever I go to the office I feel like I'm visiting two of my good friends. They make me feel at ease and are so warm and friendly. Their COVID protocols are truly top notch and I couldn't be more impressed with the cleanliness of the office and the upgraded technology. In my last appointment they zoomed in on my X-Ray image on a big flat screen monitor to show me a potentially problematic area and then told me how to take proactive steps to address it. This is a great dentist practice I'm very fortunate to have found.
