Dr. Curt Degner has been practicing dentistry in Belvidere for 22 years. He graduated from University of Illinois-Champaign, and completed his dental training at University of Illinois-Chicago. The faculty of the University of Illinois Dental School recognizedDr. Degner as showing the greatest interest, knowledge, and proficiency in general dentistry during his senior year. He was awarded the Senior Student Award at graduation by the faculty and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Degner worked in Woodstock and Marengo for years before moving permanently to Belvidere.Each year, Dr. Degner exceeds all continuing education requirements and is dedicated to staying current with all the latest innovations.
Dr. Degner is very involved in local dentistry. He is an active member of the Boone County Dental Study Club, the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. He is also a member of the Winnebago County Dental Society where he served as President from 2011 to 2012. Dr. Degner also volunteers with Donated Dental Services and the Mission of Mercy to provide treatment options to people who are underserved and have little or no access to proper dental care.
Dr. Degnerraised his three children in this community. His two oldest children graduated from Illinois and Iowa State University. His daughter attends Clemson University as an engineering student. Dr. Degners family time includes fishing, canoeing, skiing, golf, tennis, and snowmobiling.

Michelle loves being our Registered Dental Hygienist. She has worked alongside Dr. Degner since 1998. As a long term member of ourteam, patients can be assured of friendly, comprehensive treatment with emphasis on patient concerns as well as patient education. Michelle's calm and relaxed demeanorhelps even the most anxious patients feel comfortable.
Shannon works with our patients, helping them understand the importance of maintaining good oral health. As a dental assistant, she works alongside Dr. Degner to help with our patients dental procedures. Shannon's favorite aspect of her job, aside from our patients of course, is designing crowns. She has been a member of our team since 2008, and our patients love her warm, outgoing personality.
Shannon was born and raised in the Chicago area and has lived in Belvidere for overten years. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Most of her off time is spent cheering her son on during Friday night football or exploring nature with her geology inspired daughter. She also loves to drive her husband crazy with her many D.I.Y. projects.
Stephanie has two children, five grandchildren, and a very large St. Bernard with whom she is very involved. She isactive in her church and has been on the Church Council and various committees. Stephanie enjoys traveling, boating, and being outside in general.
Outside of the office Linda and her husband enjoy spending time with their two children and their families. They have four grandchildren that help keep them busy with all of the activities they enjoy being a part of. Linda also enjoys working in her yard, visiting Antique and Vintage shops, andcrafting.

I highly recommend Dr Degner's office for your family's dental needs. All the staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable. I appreciate their timeliness, I've never waited more than a few minutes for my appointments. They do well with my kids who have been going since they were 6 and 3. They work with you on billing which I find helpful as well. I would not go anywhere else for dental care and I trust Dr Degner's recommendations and care!!

I have been going to Dr Degner since I was a little kid. He is a great Dentist and I love the dental hygienist I believe her name is Lori. Just recently my husband needed a crown quick and we were quoted at in network prices so we decided to have some fillings done as well. We were quoted $850 and now owe over $1500 because it was out of network. I have heard from others that this happens a lot with this office, but I never knew had this issue till now. The lady who quoted us knew they were out of network with this insurance so why quote us at in network prices. Stinks I now have to find another Dentist.

I would never ever leave him again. I left due to my insurance change and I could see the differences from the new desantis( went to 2 diffeent ones) I had to come back even after him not being in network with my insurance! He always so kind and gently. Never had a problem with my dental work since I went back to them. Every time I have a concern he schedules me for same day or next day appointment. I was the only one going to him, now I have half my family go to him too. I 100% recommend him

Buyers beware! Great teeth cleaning! If your gonna go to him for dentures, go some place else! I had a partial for the top front four teeth. The denture doesn't fit right, moves all over(even with adhesive). I can't even eat a hotdog with a bun and them not falling out! And when I told him about my situation, he told me, and I quote " partials will do that! " so I will go someplace that cares about people!
