Dr. Steven Curry graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University, with a B.A. in Chemistry, and was honored with membership in Phi Beta Kappa as an undergraduate, for superior academic achievement. Graduating early from dental school, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from WVU in Morgantown.
Dr. Curry practices broad-scope, general dentistry, supplying his patients with a comprehensive range of dental services. He centers his practice on each patient, with a special emphasis on managing the fear and anxiety that many people feel about visiting the dentist. Even patients who are not afraid benefit from Dr. Currys low-key chair side manner.
Patient comfort has always been a high prioritysince 1984, Dr. Curry has provided nitrous oxide and intravenous (I.V.) sedation services to help anxious patients stay calm and relaxed during treatment. Combining a gentle, reassuring approach along with the selective use of sedation techniques, Dr. Curry is able to successfully treat many people who are fearful of dentists and dental visits. It has been his privilege to assist thousands of people who would not have been able to receive necessary dental care by any other means:
Taking care of people who are afraid is not for most dentists, but its certainly satisfying. Our approach really makes a difference in a lot of livesand it makes dentistry possible for the many people out there who truly have difficulty coping in the dental environment. It helps them to know theyre not the only ones; and that theres something that can be done to help them.
Dr. Curry has had the privilege of serving on the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners Anesthesia Subcommittee, where he assisted with anesthesia licensing evaluations for Oral Surgeons and General Dentists throughout West Virginia.

Absolutely a great group of people! The staff is so caring and Dr. Curry isn't pushy, he genuinely cares about his patient. He is great to explain things to you in detail, what to expect, what you should do to prepare, and what after care steps you should take. He is just all around professional and kind. I would recommend him to anyone!

For anyone with dentist phobia-Dr. Curry is completely about the patient and provides the best care and makes you feel so comfortable. He is the absolute best!

I have been to this dentist a few times in the past and was pleased with overall experience,, it looked nice after all from his secretary proudly showing off her RN badge at the front desk, the neat looking house and wow even a bible available while you wait,, However this man did a few root canal on me that ended up bad later and then my impression totally changed after my last visit several months back ,,I went in for a decayed tooth in the front and one w a surface cavity,, he told me both needed root canals ,, now mind you the one cavity was well advanced and I wanted it pulled since it was out of visual field but the other one did not appear to need one,, only a surface cavity so a second opinion was in order,, and he wasn't very happy about that but kept his clean cut composure,, fake I must say- just my opinion- the second dentist opinion revealed that the one tooth was only a surface cavity and did not need a root canal,, also he performed all work needed at a much much better cost,, I get the impression this dentist is out for the $$$.. I'm writing much later to warn people,, I am a RN and can tell you root canals are not only dangerous but way over utilized.. Happy Smiles,, and when it comes to your oral health always get the facts!!!!

Dr. Curry provided excellent care for my mother in law. She had a difficult situation that other dentist turned away because of skill and experience necessary to resolve it with a good result. She is fine now thanks to Dr. Curry and his staff. If you want a dental office where you are not treated like a widget, and they have your best interest at heart, I highly recommend going to see Dr. Curry.

I have been a patient of Dr. Curry's for 20+ years. He & his office staff are without a doubt the most pleasant, friendly, caring team that I have ever known. His office has a wonderful home like feeling, with the addition of excellent dental care. I highly recommend Dr. Curry to anyone seeking dental work.

Today was my first time at Dr. Curry's office and I had a wonderful experience. He was kind, gentle, and really cared about my comfort and satisfaction! All of his staff was great as well.
