Growing up Dr. Shipley wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon. But after seeing the difference dentistry could make during a mission in Guatemala, he felt called to serve people by bringing healing smiles through dentistry.
Dr. Shipley completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is also bilingual (Spanish) and is pursuing a masters degree in Healthcare Management from Southeast Missouri State University. With enriching experiences in both public health and on mission trips, he has a deep passion for ensuring everyone has access to excellent dental care.
As an advocate for healing smiles, oral health prevention, and the availability of urgent dental care for families, Dr. Shipley believes dentistry offers him an incredible opportunity to serve others and impact the community. His goal is to create an environment where patients feel welcome, well cared for, and inspired.
Dr. Shipley is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association and Missouri Dental Association. He is also a Certified Team Dentist with the Academy of Sports Dentistry and a member of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry.
Beyond the office, spending time with his family is most important to him. He also loves cooking (check him out on Instagram@dentist_foodie) and traveling to experience different cultures, food, and opportunities to serve others.
