My focus is on managing the office, from overseeing all staff members to monitoring all patient activity, taking care of accounts payable, and all personnel issues. My 40+ years of experience are invaluable to my ability to handle any issue that may arise. I feel so fortunate to work with our incredible, easy-going staff and doctors. They make me look forward to coming to the office every day!
I live in Cupertino with my husband. When not at work or traveling, which I do frequently, I enjoy walking, doing puzzles, and gardening. My biggest love outside of my family is caring for foster animals!
I work hard to make sure every person feels comfortable and relaxed during their visits. I seat patients, answer their questions, and explain what will happen during their procedure. With my ten plusyears of chairside assisting experience, I am skilled at helping the doctor while making surethe patient is comfortable and informed. I enjoy talking with kids, hearing about their day, and cheering for them as they achieve healthy, beautiful smiles! I feel very fortunate to havejoined this team in 2006.

I joined the practice in 2013, bringing with me more than ten years of experience helping people develop great oral health and smiles they love. I work chairside with Dr. Bulucea, helping her provide patients with the best, most efficient treatment. I love coming to work and being part of a great and enthusiastic team that shares the same goal: excellence in all we do!

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

Dr Bulucea is the best orthodontist in the bay area. .I have a beautiful smile with her skills in braces and invisalign . She treats her patients like family , kind and empathetic . Get your teeth straightened and a beautiful smile with Dr Bulucea and you will be very happy .

Hidden gem. It might be easy finding a good orthodontist in the bay, but Dr Bulucea is not only a great orthodontist, she is a caring one! Dr bulucea is teaming with my dentist and my surgeon for a complex orthodontist project, she is a trustworthy person and she actually cares for her patients.

We have been coming here for 2 years. Service was great under Michelle Dean, unfortunately she no longer works in the Cupertino office. Since then, it's been poor customer service and patient satisfaction. The one star review is specifically for Geraldine Gerges, she is HORRIBLE. We were told in January that our daughter had a cavity. Due to COVID-19, our appointment was rescheduled several times to Dec 15th. It then somehow moved to Dec 1st (without my permission). She now had 3 cavities? Where? She did not show me on xray. First, they take ADVANCE payment for your portion? What is this an ER? Normally, insurance pays, and you are billed for the rest. They MUST be desperate if they take payment up front. Anyway, we agreed to do fillings and "keep an eye on" the others. She also mentioned a treatment plan which we NEVER discussed. Moments later I find out she has placed a crown on my daughter without my consent! We discussed fillings, NOT a crown. Gerges has ruined my daughter's beautiful smile and we have no intention of ever returning to this place! In all my years at Stanford, UCSF, and UCLA, I have NEVER met a "doctor" like Gerges. What a shame. SAVE your MONEY and your TIME.

I highly recommend Cupertino Ortho Care. Dr. Bulucea is excellent at what she does. We are impressed with the results! My daughter loves her new smile! The staff is also are very professional and polite.

Worst service I had ever had! Its first time schedule for my kid's ortho appointment, I had this scheduled 3 months back! I wasn't aware of the 10 mins window late then you have to reschedule, they didn't inform me! Came all the way from Sunnyvale! I knew exactly I arrived at 11:09 but we cant get in coz there's doctor by the door who spent time chatting with the guy and we have to wait. I brought with me my 6 mos old baby because I dont have helper and when they are done chatting, there's this lady who came to us that they cannot accommodate us because its 11:13! After waiting for freaking 3 months!! Horrible people! Horrible service!! Wasted my freaking time!!!

Currently I have my two children in treatment. I suggest to some people be on time, keep your appointments or reschedule with enough notice. When I was searching for an orthodontist doctor I noticed many are in for the money and not for the patient. Specially Western Dental! Horrible place! The first time coming for a consultation was easy. Dr. Bulucea is very professional and shows passion for her work. I highly recommend Dr. Sophia Bulucea for orthodontists.

Dr. Bulucea has completed my adult orthodontic work involving bone graft and implants. My case was very challenging, however Dr. Bulucea did a great job coordinating my dental care with my dentist and the other specialists. I highly recommend this office.

This is my second time having braces here and I am shocked at the difference. I went from having a tooth gap and crooked teeth to a wonderful smile! Everyone there is very kind and friendly. My smile has become just the way I wished it would be. When I have my braces adjusted they are always very gentle. Also, when I schedule an appointment they always get the quickest times and they fit perfectly into my busy school schedule! I completed Invisalign treatment for crowded front teeth with Dr. Bulucea a year ago. I cannot express how impressed I am with the treatment results. Great staff also. I high recommend her office.
