Dr. Cheri W. Cunningham grew up in Sylacauga and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Biology Research. She continued her education by training at the UAB School of Dentistry. She became a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2004 and founded her practice the same year. She remained active with her university by serving on the UAB National Alumni Society Board from 2004 thru 2007, and the Junior Alumni Board from 2011 thru 2013. Dr. Cunningham currently serves on the Gardendale High School Health Science and Sports Medicine Advisory Council. She enjoys exposing current students to the exciting, ever changing field of dentistry.
Dr. Cunningham met her husband, Jimbo, in college and after graduation, they settled in the Gardendale area. They have three beautiful children: Clayton, Caroline and Callie Brown. They are very involved in Gardendale First Baptist Church as well as their community. Avid sports fans, Dr. C and her crew can be seen participating and supporting local sports programs within the community and at many of our local schools. They also have a deep love for all things Disney and love to visit Walt Disney World where Dr. Cunningham can be found riding Big Thunder Railroad and enjoying a Mickey Ice Cream Bar!
Dr. Cunninghams mission is simply to care for patients oral health in the same way she would wish to be cared for herself and to share Christs love by demostrating that her patients needs always come first.
Amanda W. Hudson grew up in Morris and is a graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Alabama where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors. She continued her education at UAB School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2016. While in dental school, Dr. Hudson served as the community outreach coordinator and newsletter editor for the UAB American Student Dental Association, President of the Pediatric Student Interest Group, and was an active member of Christian Medical Ministries of Alabama where she spent time providing dental care to children in Guatemala. Dr. Hudson is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, UAB National Alumni Society, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
Dr. Hudson married her high school sweetheart, Clay, in 2015. They settled in the Kimberly area and have two children Harper and Sawyer. They are active members of Gardendale First Baptist Church. Dr. Hudson enjoys being a part of the Gardendale community her love for community events began during her time as Miss Gardendale Magnolia Festival 2012, Miss UAB 2013, and Miss North Jefferson Area 2014. In her spare time, Dr. Hudson enjoys collecting Rae Dunn pottery, crafting, home decor, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. Hudsons mission is to provide the best dental care possible in the most caring and comforting way. Dr. Hudson has dental experience with both adults and children. She is especially passionate that proper oral healthcare is taught at an early age. Good habits learned early are vital to a lifetime of healthy smiles. Dr. Hudson also has additional training with botox and fillers and enjoys helping women enhance their natural beauty.

Absolutely would NOT recommend for veneers. I went here for a couple of years for cleanings, and I had to get my front two teeth veneered a few years ago after breaking them when I was young + years of bonding. The veneers that she applied BOTH have dark spots on them. They are noticeable, even in photos. It is embarrassing. I thought maybe it was something that would go away after having them applied, but the shadows were immediate and permanent due to poor application. I began going to a new dentist this year and their immediate reaction to my front two teeth was one of concern not only about the visible dark spots but because there is decay growing on the backside of one of my veneers due to the poor application (my dentist's words). After only having these veneers for a few years, I now have to get crowns on my teeth because Dr. Cunningham really did not know what she was doing. I wish there was some way I could get the thousands of dollars that we paid back, but hopefully this will save someone heartache in the future.

After spending several thousands of dollars here for cosmetic services (and pre-paying or never leaving the office with a bill outstanding) I move and within the time my mail gets to my new address they're threatening to send my $65 bill to collections? Very disappointing to say the least.

Almost all of my family uses Dr. Cunningham. Grandparents on my mom's side, my granny from my dad's side, my dad, my brother, and myself. This is the only thing both sides of my family can agree on. Their staff treats all of their patients like family. They aren't just trying to make money, they genuinely care! I would give 10 stars if I could!

Everyone at this office was so nice and understanding. Today was my first visit and i have really high anxiety at the dentist due to trauma as a child. They all made me feel so comfortable and welcoming. Dr. Cunningham was very understanding and explained all my options for a treatment plan. She was was thorough, professional and easy to talk with. The office was clean with modern equipment. This dental practice had everything you would ever need in a dentist.

I am very grateful for the work in cleaning my teeth. I have a receding gum line and therefore cleaning my teeth is a little difficult. You can tell how well plaque has been removed as your tongue darts around your mouth after have your teeth cleaned. It was silky smooth inside my mouth. I appreciate the professional and quick work. rob
