Dr. Michelle Cummins has been delivering the highest quality of dental care to her patients for the last 5 years. Originally from Boston, Dr. Cummins earned her Bachelor degree at Boston University in 2003 and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2007. After earning her degrees, she completed a General Practice Residency at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. After completing her residency, Dr. Cummins returned to Boston, Massachusetts to continue her career as an associate dentist in a private practice for four years.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying different restaurants, spending time with family and friends and getting involved in different organizations and community activities. Dr. Cummins is excited and honored to open her new practice where she can serve the people in the community in which she grew up. After all is said and done, Dr. Cummins is in the dental profession because she wants to make patients smile. She wants to instill in them that their oral health is very important. It is the door to the rest of the body and their overall health. She wants patients to have a relaxed and positive experience at the dentist. The favorite part of her daily routine is to put a smile on a patients face and to hear them say Thank You.

Dr. Vargas was born in Honduras and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She obtained her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2017. Upon graduating, Dr. Vargas completed a General Practice Residency at Bellevue Hospital in New York, NY and shortly after moved to Boston, where she has been passionately working to serve her community. She prioritizes developing lasting relationships with patients, working together as a team in pursuit of a common goal, and rendering quality treatment with happy smiles. Her interest for learning and passion for providing the best oral health care continues to grow. She is excited to be a part of the Cummins Family Dental team and create long-lasting memories!

She is a fluent Spanish speaker and enjoys travelling. During her free time, she likes to try new restaurants and watch good movies. But most importantly, Dr. Vargas loves to spend time with her family. Her goal is help patients feel like family when visiting the dentist!

Lizannette Colon serves as the Front Office Coordinator at Cummins Family Dental. Growing up, Lizannette feared going to the dental office and never felt fully comfortable. This is why she takes pride in helping each patient feel comfortable and well supported at each office visit. Lizannette is pursuing a higher degree at Roxbury Community College, Business Management. She is also CPR certified and fluent in Spanish. Lizannette has over 10 years of experience in customer service and looks forward to helping each patient leave the office with a bright smile. In her spare time, Lizannette spends time with her two beautiful daughters doing fun, adventurous activities in and outside of the city.

Trisha Balgobin, a native of Dorchester, is currently in her third year in the field of Dental Hygiene. Since a young age, Trisha has always loved visiting the dentist office. This inspired her to pursue a career that allows her the opportunity to educate patients on the importance of preventative dental care. She attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services (MCPHS), graduating from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene (C/O 2014) with her Bachelor's degree. She holds certification in CPR and a license to administer local anesthesia. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable so they can be proud of their smile. In her spare time, Trisha likes to spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys traveling and spending time at beaches.

Trang serves as a registered dental hygienist at Cummins Family Dental. She performs dental cleanings and provides patients with education regarding their smiles. Trang Graduated from Middlesex Community College in May 2017. It's vital to her that her patients understand why it's important to have great oral health and how to achieve it. She loves watching the positive changes in our patients' smiles and oral health, as they become a part of our dental family.

Leonel Villalona is currently in his first year of dental hygiene and is very excited to join Cummins Family Dental. Leonel grew up visiting dental offices very often because his mom is a dentist. In fact, his mother had a strong influence in his choice to pursue a career in dentistry. He started off working in a dental office during high school. Then he attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science, graduating with a bachelors degree from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene. He holds a certification in CPR and is licensed to administer local anesthesia. In his spare time, Leonel likes to spend time with family and friends. He also enjoys playing basketball and baseball.

Monique DeBarros has known Dr. Cummins since senior year in high school. In 2016, she joined the Cummins Family team in a part-time capacity as Human Resource Manager/Consultant. After graduating from Boston University, with a Bachelors of Arts and minor in Business Management, she went on to pursue a career in non-profit management. In 2012, Monique graduated from Simmons College with a Masters in Educational Leadership. She currently works at Boston Prep as Director of Targeted Intervention. She is happy to leverage her education background and work experience, to support the growing team at Cummins Family Dental and support a growing business in Dorchester. In her spare time, Monique enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and volunteering at her church.

Idelicia Mendes serves as Dental Assistant at Cummins Family Dental. Idelicia was born in Cape Verde and has been living in the United States for 9 years. Idelicia graduated from Massasoit College in 2015 with an Associate degree in Liberal Arts Science. She then continued her education at Lincoln Tech where she focused her career on Dental Assisting. Idelicia chose this path because she likes to work with people. She is fluent is three languages; Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese and Spanish. In her spare time, Idelicia likes to work out and play soccer.

Taven Felix serves as a Dental Assistant at Cummins Family Dental. He attended Boston Career Institute for dental assisting and graduated in 2015. Taven has recently begun his journey towards becoming a Dental Hygienist and has started taking classes at Bunker Hill Community College. Taven loves helping patients improve their appearance and boost their self-confidence. In his spare time he enjoys trying new restaurants and new workouts.
