Growing up in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Ann Ullah always had an interest in medicine and knew she wanted to help others. She received her B.S. degree in biology from the University of Texas in Arlington. She felt that dentistry was one of the best ways she could serve the community so she went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery, D.D.S. in 1997 from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.

After working in private practice for over 20 years, Dr. Ullah has made her home here in north Georgia. She values her relationship with her patients and realizes that is the key to making dentistry rewarding.

Dr. Ullah is a member of the Georgia Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is committed to continuing her dental education by completing more dentistry courses than is required in order to ensure quality care to her patients.

Community involvement is very important to Dr. Ullah and she has volunteered to visit local schools to help educate students about proper oral hygiene as well as other preventative measures that will teach them how to maintain healthy smiles. She also participates in numerous charity events and is an active member of the Forsyth/ Cumming Chamber of Commerce.

When she is not helping her patients at Cummings Family Dentist, Dr. Ullah enjoys spending time with her family. She is married with two sons, Austin who attends University of Georgia and Emil who is a senior in highschool. They all take pleasure in caring for their Samoyed dogs Yeti & Aspen.

When comparing the home vs. dentist whitening solutions, consider what you are trying to accomplish. If your teeth are white but are starting to turn slightly yellow, you may see some positive results with a simple store bought solution. However, if your teeth have any stains, it is far better to skip this step and head straight to our office for a professional teeth whitening. If you do try something at home, there are a few things you should be aware of.

How long the solution remains on your teeth is important. When it comes to teeth bleaching, the whitening solution needs to be on your teeth long enough to work. This is why something like a whitening pen or whitening toothpaste can't possibly make much of a difference. The solution is washed off almost immediately. Simultaneously, when you buy whitening strips in the store, they tend to slip out of place and also lose their effectiveness.

The solution needs to get below the surface. Any time you look at whitening products, look for ones that say they penetrate below the enamel. When you schedule a professional bleaching, this will happen every time. When you buy something at the store, however, it is rare. Without penetrating below the enamel, you will never truly remove all of the stains.

If you would prefer to whiten your teeth at home, you can still have a professional teeth whitening. You can have whitening trays created at the dentist and wear them at home while using professional whitening solution. This will deliver impressive results and be more comfortable than any trays that you can buy in the store. Since store-bought whitening trays are made to fit everyone, they are typically loose, and the solution will leak out of them and into the back of your throat. This is entirely uncomfortable and completely avoidable when you use trays created by a dentist. If you live in Cumming or the surrounding area, we invite you to visit our dental office to see how easy professional whitening is and how much more effective it can be than a store-bought solution.

Many people make the mistake of thinking that if something is natural, it must be good for them. This is simply not the case. Natural teeth whitening can actually damage your teeth through the process of erosion. Most natural remedies use acid to remove the stains or yellowing. For example, using lemons or limes. The problem is that anything high in acid content can permanently damage the enamel on your teeth so while they may look whiter, they may also become more sensitive.

Do not try teeth bleaching at home without reading this warning. It is possible for you to permanently damage your teeth when whitening them at home. Your teeth have a hard layer of enamel on the surface. They arrive this way, and once your enamel is gone, you cannot replace it. Underneath your enamel is porous dentin that contains your nerve endings. If the enamel wears away, the dentin will be exposed, and your teeth will become sensitive. Eating and drinking with sensitive teeth can be incredibly uncomfortable and the only way to permanently fix your teeth is to have a cosmetic procedure like bonding or having dental veneers or crowns placed on your teeth. The biggest problem that people can have, when whitening their teeth, is overexposure to the whitening solution. If you place teeth bleaching solution onto your teeth for too long or you whiten your teeth too many times in a short period, you can cause your enamel to erode permanently damaging your teeth. This is why scheduling a professional teeth whitening is so important. As Cumming's Family Dentist, we will make sure that your teeth are whitened correctly by using the right amount of solution and removing it before reaching the point of irritation. If you are looking to save money, at-home whitening may seem alluring. However, the risk that you run of damaging your teeth could create much higher expenses down the road. If you live in the Cumming area, schedule a professional bleaching by calling 770-280-8723 so that you can receive the results that you want without the risk.

A professional teeth whitening is much more effective than any store-bought solution that you may find. We will safely and effectively whiten your teeth for a brighter shade. You can have the smile you've always wanted.Professional Teeth WhiteningAt Cumming's Family Dentist in Cumming, we work to customize your treatment to match your needs and schedule

It is normal for teeth to yellow or become stained over time, but teeth whitening can return a smile to its original brightness. The American Association of Orthodontics reports that more than 30% of Americans are unhappy with their smile. Getting teeth whitened is a simple, easy process that can help anyone regain confidence in

As unfortunate as it is, everyones teeth begin to yellow over time, but with the help of teeth whitening agents, your smile can be sparkly again! Yellowing teeth is definitely a sign of aging and it tends to occur gradually over time. This occurs due to heavily dyed beverages that stain the teeth, a lack

When it comes to whitening dull teeth, most people assume teeth whitening at the dentist's office or whitening the teeth with an over-the-counter product at the store are the only options. There is plenty of confusion as to the most effective approach to whiten dull teeth. In reality, there are multiple options and preferences for people

Dr. Ann and her staff are wonderful! I have major anxiety about going to the dentist and had not gone in a very long time. Dr. Ann did not shame me or make me feel embarrassed. She made a plan and slowly but surely, we are making progress and she does great work! Dr. Ann and her staff are very comforting and put me at ease. Not sure I will ever get over my fear of dentists, but Dr. Ann certainly makes it easier to go. Thank you for all of your great customer service, compassion, and work!

Naturally, I have never been a fan of the dentist. BUT this place is awesome. Everyone is super friendly! I do not get AS much dental anxiety that I have experienced in the past. 10/10 would recommend to those who want someone that is calming, reassuring, and caring.

The staff has been insanely helpful with my TMJ. I came in with little knowledge and walked out like i received a Master's Degree in TMJ. the usage of botox to help alleviate the tightness in my jaw has been extremely helpful and i'm happy to see how much progress I've made in one week thus far. Dr. Ann is a phenomenal and patient doctor with a goal to assist and restore those dealing with TMJ. i really appreciate her and the entire staff that welcomed me and made me feel comfortable coming in for my checkups and cleanings. cant wait to see them soon!

Dental visits always made me anxious and I avoided getting care for a while because of this. Dr. Ann's whole team strives to provide a positive experience and goes above and beyond to help accommodate those with anxiety. I've been a patient here for over a year now and I recommend her to all of my friends in the area.

The customer service here is outstanding. I had never been in and then had a broken front tooth. Called as soon as they opened and they got me in ASAP. Everyone is so nice. Dr Ann explained my options and made me a beautiful crown. No one knows anything happened! I used to be hesitant to go to the dentist, but not anymore! Thanks Dr Ann and staff!

Be careful before you go this dentist. 5 years ago my wife went to her for simple cleaning which became drilling/filling (for 2 long hours) and followed by root canal, all on a single tooth. Whatever DDS Ullah did to her caused some nerve damage and she suffered from trigeminal neuralgia for 2 years since her visit. It took several treatments plus physical therapy plus tons of money for her to finally get better. But still every now and then her pain comes back and she learned to live with it now. You can read my wife's review from 5 years back down below (by Afrin) for details. Why am I posting this now? Simply because I don't want anyone to go through the suffering we, as a family, went through because of the their negligence. For them it's just another mistake protected by your signed waiver. But for you it can be a lifetime worth of suffering.

Terrible patient service and their billing system is kind of messed up. Never show date of service and details around bill. Apply hidden charges and X-ray charges to insurance which ultimately get rejected and you are liable for paying them. Always forcefully add fluoride charges even you never asked for one.Never send a notification of bill or charges to email or physical address. Comes all with surprises. They Follow up hundred times to confirm the appointment and last time I did not even asked for appointment. if you are little late they ready to charge you cancellation or no show fees. They lose me as customer for ever. Never recommend to family or friends
