Hemant Dhawan, DMD graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with degrees in Neuroscience and Zoology. He attended a prestigious Ivy League institution for dental school, graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. After dental school, Dr. Dhawan was admitted for further specialty training at Maimonides Medical Center, an affiliate of the Weil Cornell Medical System.
Dr. Dhawan is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). In over a decade of practice, he has mentored several students and generously devoted his free time to young dentists and surgeons at several residency programs. He was recently awarded America's Top 40 Dentist Under 40 and was featured in the Delta Sky Magazine in December 2019.
Dr. Dhawan and his family are thrilled to call Georgia their new home and are excited to build new memories with our community. During his free time, he can be found with his young family enjoying the parks, movies, and child-friendly restaurants.
He received degrees from both Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. Dr. Yavari completed his advanced general dentistry residency at Medical College of Georgia Hospital and Clinics.
He then continued his education by specializing in orthodontics and receiving a Master of Science in Oral Biology. Dr. Yavari has been practicing orthodontics in the Atlanta area since 1999. He is actively involved in several professional orthodontic and dental associations such as the American Association of Orthodontists and American Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Yavari regularly works as a mentor to young interns that are interested in entering the field of dentistry or orthodontics.
Lindsay Davis is the pediatric dental hygienist at Cumming Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics! She has lived in Cumming, Georgia for her entire life. She knew she wanted to be a dental hygienist from a very young age and loves being able to share that passion with her patients every day. She has been married to her husband, Anthony, since 2008 and they have two boys Hunter and Wyatt. Her hobbies are singing and playing the piano. If she's not at the office, you can probably find her on a sports field with one of her boys in the area living the mom life!She loves being able to give each child at Cumming Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics the best dental experience possible!

Great place great team, doctor and nurses. I went through so many places and none could handle my son. He was terrified. The warmth, professionalism we received there was phenomenal and my son made me promise to only go there for his dental needs. Highly recommended

Highly recommended. Always taking great care of our family. Dr. Hemant Dhawan is a very knowledgeable doctor and a wonderful human being. His assistant Kenishia is the sweetest person ever. Megan is always making sure we are on track with appointments and paperwork. We feel good bringing our kids to their office. Thank you all.

Dr. D and Kanishia was so wonderful to my kid's reece and abby. Reece has special needs and he did absolutely great with Dr. D. This was our first visit due to insurance change. Abby had to go back the very next day and have dental work done. They gave her loopy med to help relax her before the meds she started to get upset and scared Kanishia talked to her calmly, explained everything and made her calm down. Bless her heart she got sick from the med and Kanishia stayed rt with her. She was npo after midnight so her stomach was empty. Anywho she did great and is back to herself. Thank you God for such wonderful people to take care of my kid's. Oh yeah almost forgot the office staff and dental techs who take xrays and do cleanings was excellent as well and very patient. I'm a very happy momma! Thanks to all

Dr. Dhawan and the staff are amazing. Professional, friendly, great follow up and care. We brought our toddler there for a chipped tooth and he gave us options and care that we really appreciated. Highly recommend.

I left D4C after being told my child had to wait 4 months for fillings and I was referred here ! Immediately a whole other atmosphere of wonderful staff and doctors who got her in immediately! Love these people

Never coming back here .. one of the worst exp ... costed my daughter 3 mons of pain .. they extracted a wrong tooth.... When the issue was poor filling done ...

Just wow - fastest and easiest dentist visit ever. This was our first time for our daughter and it will not be our last. I was so impressed with the entire staff. Everyone was so happy and welcoming, my daughter even said she loved the experience once we were done! Thank you to everyone in this amazing office for making going to the dentist something to look forward to!

So I was nervous because this is my son's first time going to the dentist and they did such an amazing job! He was so good with them because they made made feel comfortable ,the staff are so kind, they're great with children and the place is clean. ECERYONE THERE WAS amazing . I definitely would recommend them.

Absolutely WONDERFUL! I have one child who is fairly anxious at the dentist and he had a lovely time. Dr. D was the most friendly dentist I've ever encountered, his chairside manner is impeccable and he is a natural with kids. His treatment recommendations were conservative and took my child's anxiety into consideration. The entire staff, from the lovely women running the front office to the assistants in the room were efficient, super-friendly and child oriented. Oh, and the design is adorable! Wait until your kids see the giant indoor trees!!! I'm SO grateful we were referred, we have found the perfect dentists office!

I would like to recommend this office to anyone who has a child with high anxiety. We started going to Dr.D and my husband job transferred to VA. We were unable to get anything done with the children's dentist in Va. Everyone wanted to take him to surgery for dental work. So we flew back to Georgia and the Dr. D and his staff were awesome. They were so patient with our son and we truly appreciate it. Because I have first time mommy syndrome bad and our son is five now lol... Thank you guys for everything!!!

This is the most wonderful pediatric dentist office! The staff is SO friendly and great with children. Even my super shy toddlers were warmed over enough to get their check up completed without any fights or tears! Can't say enough amazing things about this place. Not to mention they gave the kids their own little goodie bags at the end and they loved playing with everything after.

Sitting outside awaiting our appointment time as we arrived early. Two associates brought a child out from their appointment who was in a wheelchair while the adult waited in the car. The two associates even though masked could tell were smiling and making the child feel important and safe just based on the interactions seen. The associate lifted the child from the wheelchair with such grace and the child clung to her as if they had such a special bond. Just witnessing this interaction alone makes me glad we chose this facility for our daughters. **post will be updated once we have our visit* we love Dr. Dhawan he was fantastic and our daughter even just at 17 months was very open and was curious about the visit. We will highly recommend this office.

My family and I are extremely thankful and blessed by the team at CPDO. They have always provided outstanding service for my two older children taking into consideration their personalities and tailoring their experiences so that both actually enjoy going to the dentist!! Dr. Dhawan always takes time to listen to our concerns big or small, and provides feedback in a comprehensive and caring way. Our youngest has some special needs, and while other dentistry offices wanted to put her under full general anesthesia for dental work, Dr. Dhawan recommended a much less invasive approach and took our every concern into consideration to put a treatment plan together. We took our daughter in and could not have had better results. She was able to get all of her corrections made with just oral sedatives and recovered very quickly. My wife and I are VERY protective over our children, but have found the Pediatric Dentistry team very caring and trustworthy to be able to comfortably leave our children in their care for these types of procedures. I highly recommend this dentist office as well as their Crabapple location

I am so glad that I have found the most amazing dentistry for my kids. My son has sensory processing disorder which makes it hard for him to do certain things. Everyone was so nice and made him feel at ease. They took their time with him and didn't push him to do anything that he didn't want to do. I recommend this dentistry 100%.

I was really excited to find a place with what seemed like great doctors with orthodontics and pediatric dentistry in one place and beyond disappointed that they refuse to schedule all three of my kids at the same time since they will not see kids under 5 in the afternoon. If you're calling to make an appointment, beware of this restriction. Being an expert in dentistry is one thing, but I'm an expert on my child and that decision should be up to me, but if you can't trust parents to make the best choices for their children and their family concerning appointment times, then I hardly think we would be making shared decisions concerning their dental health. I'd 100% suggest potential customers avoid this place as trust is clearly not a two way street.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful people at this place! We have an 8 year old and a 6 year old (one with autism and a true fear of all the tools, etc) the patience and love they show him as well as our other son makes it so much easier to keep up with this important part of their healthcare!

Omg I love this place. From the second I walked in the door I was impressed. The staff is so friendly. The dentist talked with me like we had been friends for 20 years even though we just met. I went to this dentist as a 2nd opinion and so glad I did. The original dentist turned out to be right about the diagnosis so it wasn't that reason that I'm glad I went here. It was how my son and I were treated. My son is not an easy child to deal with at the dentist either. Well he wasn't till we got here. He was so comfortable with everyone here he was willing to do whatever was asked. It amazed me. Other dentist usually can't barely convince my son to open his mouth for them. I could go on for days but I think I've said enough. I have found my child's new permanent dentist. You are making a mistake if you go anywhere else. Great job y'all!!!
