Dr. Lynsey Cumberland received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry Medical Sciences from Mississippi College. She then completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Lynsey Cumberland received the Dental Physiology Award, Ottilie-Schilig Scholarship, Dr. Chris Sprayberry Scholarship for Pre-Clinical Excellence, Dr. William S. Kramer Award of Excellence, and a Hinman Scholar. Also, she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Dental Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society. Dr. Lynsey Cumberland completed a one year elective dental residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During her residency, she received special instruction and training in placing dental implants, comprehensive dental treatment of special needs patients in the operating room, and treating medically complex patients. Upon completion of her dental residency, Dr. Lynsey Cumberland joined our practice in July 2015. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Jackson Dental Society.Dr. Lynsey Cumberland and her husband, Chance Theriot, reside in Richland, MS. Dr. Lynsey Cumberland enjoys planting flowers, reading, baking desserts, and playing with her Micro-mini Goldendoodle, Cooper.
Victoria has recently joined our team as a dental hygienist and graduated from Meridian Community College Hygiene School in 2019. She enjoys educating her patients about oral hygiene and ways to improve their overall health and smile.
Allison has been employed with Dr. Cumberland since 1996, as a dental hygienist. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a BS degree in dental hygiene.Allison is married to Chris Cooksey and they have two children, Sophia and Jack. She is a longtime resident of Brookhaven and a member of Nola Baptist Church. Allison enjoys spending time with her family, home schooling her children, and traveling.
Carla has been employed with Dr. Cumberland since 1988, as a dental assistant. She enjoys making patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their dental treatment.Carla is married to Brad Cliburn and they have one son, Cody. Cody currently lives in Seminary, MS with his wife, Sarah, and daughter, Ruthie Kate. She is a longtime resident of Florence and a member of First Baptist Church of Florence.Carla loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog-Ellie. Carla's favorite pastime is spoiling her new granddaughter, Ruthie Kate, every chance she gets!
Janet joined our team in February of 2021, as a dental assistant. She received her dental assistant training from Elite Dental Assisting School in Texas in 2019. She moved here from Dallas, Texas in 2020 after getting married to Colby Barrett. Janet and Colby have a beagle named Luke. Janet has 5 younger siblings, loves Disney, and enjoys trips back home to Texas to see family and friends.

From a person who dreads the dentist from bad past experiences this was one of the best experiences i have had in a long time. Super nice office staff and a dentist that is concerned that you are comfortable and leave nothing but satisfied. Definitely a place to go for any dental work.

I moved from the area 10 years ago, but was (lucky) enough to be there for work when I had a dental emergency. Dr. Cumberland and his staff got me squared away and I appreciate feeling welcome.

I recently moved from the coast to Richland and needed some dental work done. I am petrified of the dentist due to some past experiences. I have a trusted dentist on the coast that I have been driving 3 hours to visit for dental work. I decided to find a dentist here and read all Cumberland reviews which put me at ease. Mrs. DR Cumberland was very comforting and even tho it was a difficult extraction (took awhile) she was so comforting and gentle. She called last night to check on me highly recommend to anyone!

Dr Cumberland and his staff are friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home in their clinic. No one likes to go to the dentist but they make the experience more than tolerable, almost enjoyable.

I will give this business a 10 rating.I had an emergency visited with Cumberland Family Dentist in Richland, MS . The services was outstanding. Due to C19, the staff meet me in the parking lot and asked me some questions and took my temperature. I was then taken inside and the atmosphere was very pleasure. Dr. Jeff Cumberland is a wonderful dentist and he and his staff had been keeping me smiling over the last 10 years or more. If you are looking for an excellent dental provider, please contact his office for an appointment . I know that t you leave with a shining smile too.

I cannot say enough good things about Cumberland Family Dentistry! I had a tooth to crack down the middle on a Thursday night. I called Friday morning to ask if there was any way they could fit me in. Amy bent over backwards to get me in even though they only work half a day on Fridays. There was an issue with my insurance that she had to spend way too much time on the phone trying to figure out. The dental tech's were so nice and caring. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time I was there. They even asked if I would like something to drink while I was waiting. Dr. Cumberland was awesome too. He took the time to get to know me by asking about myself and my family. He took care of my problem while letting me know what he was doing every step of the way. To say this was the best experience I have ever had at the dentist is an understatement!
