Culver City Dental is a Culver City based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care and do so using advanced dental equipment. We are a cosmetic dentist that offers services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers and more.

The team at Culver City Dental believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.

It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. Education, after all, is essential for living a long and healthy life.

Understanding the importance of these regular dental exams, the staff at Culver City Dental work to make each patient extremely comfortable. This includes being welcoming and kind while performing dental treatments in a way that is painless and relaxing. Patients visit our dentist office because they trust us to do just that take care of their teeth and gums, gently. The majority of our patients are local and come from the greater Culver City area, we also see patients that are looking for gentle dental care.

Seniors, on the other hand, often struggle with gum disease and oral infections. As people age, their teeth can become weaker and infected more easily. Bone loss is incredibly common with seniors and by conducting regular dental exams, the team at Culver City Dental can help seniors to have strong teeth and reduce the risk of them falling out. Since over seventy percent of U.S. adults suffer from tooth loss, preventative care is important.

A. Primary, or 'baby,' teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to come in.

A. First, rinse the irritated area with warm salt water and place a cold compress on the face if it is swollen. Give the child acetaminophen for any pain, rather than placing aspirin on the teeth or gums. Finally, see a dentist as soon as possible.

A. Sealants work by filling in the crevasses on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. This shuts out food particles that could get caught in the teeth, causing cavities. The application is fast and comfortable and can effectively protect teeth for many years.

A. Have your family dentist evaluate the fluoride level of your child's primary source of drinking water. If your child is not getting enough fluoride internally through water (especially if the fluoride level is deficient or if your child drinks bottled water without fluoride), then we may prescribe fluoride supplements.

A. Soft plastic mouthguards can be used to protect teeth, lips, cheeks and gums from sport related injuries. A custom-fitted mouthguard will protect your teeth from injuries and even provide protection from severe injuries to the head.

A. There is very little risk in dental X-rays. Family dentists are especially careful to limit the amount of radiation to which you and your family are exposed. Lead aprons and high-speed film are used to ensure safety and minimize the amount of radiation. Digital x-rays provide an even greater level of protection by using up to 90 percent less radiation.

Using dental fillings to treat cavities is one of the most common types of routine dental care. The American Dental Association reports that approximately 91% of adults will experience at least one cavity in their permanent teeth at some point in time. Fortunately, the high demand for this type of dental work has led to

For patients interested in a smile makeover, the makeover may refer to various cosmetic dental procedures. The point of a makeover is to improve the appearance of a patient's smile using whitening, veneers, implants, and other procedures. While appearance is often the leading factor of a makeover, several treatments also provide benefits such as improved

For patients missing several teeth, a denture can lead to a sense of normalcy. However, these dental replacements do sometimes need repair, and they often seem to break or malfunction at the most inconvenient of times. To avoid damage to the prosthetic or the patient's mouth, it can be helpful to know some of the

Incredibly grateful I found Dr. Dan. My past has its turbulences which lead to not visiting a dentist for over 10 years. My troubled past expedited teeth decay causing a tooth to fall out at 30 years old. I have recently turned myself around. In the last year, I've had three consultations with other dentist. Each one took this time to lecture me about my past and never made me feel comfortable. I went in for my consultation with Dr. Dan, and he made me feel at ease. Not once did he talk about why I hadn't seen a dentist in 10 years. Instead, he told me he was proud of me for coming in and facing my fears. Each visit, every single staff was amazing. Dr. Dan has a great sense of humor, has disarming banter with the staff, and tells you good job when numbing you. I received my permanent bridge & it literally looks flawless. I will recommend Dr. Dan to my friends, family, and even now strangers reading this review.

I had three crowns. Real sweet talker when you're trying to tell him what doesn't feel right. Sent me off with a recommendation for a root canal specialist. He's too busy to give you a second glance.

Don't even know where to start.... TRULY, Dr. Dan has changed my life more than he could ever know. I had lost complete trust in dentists and felt so taken advantage of that prior to working with Dr. Dan and the wonderful team at Culver City Dental, even the word dentist made me run the opposite way. I feel so insanely proud to call Dr. Dan my dentist and I could not recommend him more! Wish I could rate higher than 5 stars!! Thank you so much, Dr. Dan and team.

I called for an appointment for me and my husband and we were granted an appointment the next day! I suffer from "dentalphobia" and I was transparent about it. I had a GREAT experience with everyone! The office is clean and well-kept, and neither my husband or I waited long. I was i was provided a thorough explanation of my bill and insurance coverage. Dr. Dan and Dr. Shana were both WONDERFUL!! I give special acccolades to Dr. Shana for her patience, reassurance, kindness, and thorough explanation of the procedures that she performed on me (deep cleaning and fillings). This was an extremely positive experience and I will certainly return!

Let me start off by saying that, I finally found my dentist! As someone who always gets anxious at the dentist, Dr. Dan and his team have made me feel very comfortable. First of all, Elizabeth at the front desk is very kind and helpful. Dentists in the past have always left me up in the air about what I need done and never had a plan so it was hard for me to keep up. He always answers my questions and is very straight forward with me about what I need done. I also like that he makes sure that I am not in pain and that I am okay during procedures. I am beyond happy and loving results already and it's only my second visit. I look forward to seeing my final results!

Love this office. No frills, Dr. Dan is great-- direct, concise, and does a great job explaining what to expect and treatment options. What I love most about him is that he isn't quick to escalate-- he lays out your options and isn't rushing to perform extremely invasive procedures while making sure safety is upheld. I like him and like his staff, they play old school movies while you're sitting in the chair which is fun! I def recommend this office!

I'm very impressed. After years of being burned by dentist , I finally found Dr.Dan. I went in convinced my teeth were not salvageable and expecting to hear I need dentures. Instead I'm getting a deep cleaning and a couple of cracks fixed. I am so happy. Also, my 83 yr old Mom was told by the last dentist that she wasn't a candidate for anything but regular dentures. She was so bummed and the dentist was very gruff and rude about it. So I took her to Dr Dan and she's getting the snap in lower dentures! She couldn't be happier. Everything is affordable and done in a timely manner!

I can't stop giving Dr.Dan and his entire office 5 stars. Today I took my elderly Mother in for her impressions. I mentioned that one of my crowns he put in yesterday was sensitive, was feeling some pain. Rather than start in about "well what did you eat? Are you sure you didn't...." Yada Yada Yada...I've had dentist do that rather than fix the problem, instead he immediately fixed it! No questions asked, no blame game or saying I need MORE work done. Again, five stars !

Im a new patient at Culver City Dental and Im very impressed with everything the office has to offer. Extremely clean and very welcoming staff, from receptionists to assistants to the dentist himself. Ive been satisfied with the work performed including deep cleaning and cap removal and replacements. As painless as visiting the dentist can be with the added bonus that Dr. Dan works slowly and precisely to minimize discomfort and possible pain. I definitely recommend Culver Dental.
