Dr. Cynthia Scheines earned her D.D.S. degree (1997), her Masters in Periodontics (2001) and her Ph.D. in Dentistry (2005) in Argentina. She earned her certificate in Periodontics at the Oregon Health and Science University, Portland in 2015 and was awarded her Board Certification in 2016.
She has been in private practice and active in teaching for the past 20 years. An Assistant Professor in Argentina, she continued to teach while in Oregon and was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Periodontics, Oregon Health & Science University from 2009 to 2012. She moved to California in 2017 to become an Assistant Professor at the Advanced Specialty Education Program in Periodontics, School of Dentistry, Loma Linda University, CA where she still currently teaches.
Dr. Scheines is committed to providing each of her patients with the highest care and best dental treatment. Her dental practice offers advanced specialized knowledge about the science and clinical applications of implant dentistry. Dr. Scheines is a dual Board Certified Periodontist (Argentina & USA) and a Certified Phlebotomist Technician, allowing her to perform Platelet Rich Fibrin Technology offering a new approach to tissue regeneration and dental implants.
Dr. Scheines professional memberships include the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, The Academy of Osseointegration, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Board of Periodontology & Phlebotomist Training Specialist Association.

My dentist recommended this office and to my surprise I was very impressed. The staff and doctor were very friendly and helpful did not rush you and explained your options in detail, office is very inviting, will behaving a procedure next week and felling very confident

To Dr. Cynthia Scheines and the CS Periodontics team - thank you ! Yesterday I underwent a complicated procedure of extractions and implants at the clinic. The day after it looks and feels wonderful. I would like to thank the amazing Dr. Scheines for the extraordinary professionalism and all the amazing staff of the clinic. From the lovely and caring front desk to the dedicated assistants Jaz and Ceci. The great service and aesthetics of the clinic are at the highest level that I met befor. I've been a patient for years, continuing after it changed ownership. I'm very satisfied with the care I receive here. The doctor is knowledgeable and assured I was comfortable with no pain during my gum surgery. The staff is super welcoming and Pauline is an awesome hygienist. Highly recommended.
