Dr. Young received his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, and completed his dental education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. He practiced dentistry in his hometown of Las Vegas before moving out to the Bay Area in 2017 to be closer to family.
He comes from a family of health care professionals and learned from observing his father the value of professionalism, respect, honesty, and open communication. Dr. Young endeavors to provide excellent dental care in a comforting environment and constantly strives to stay up-to-date with the best standards of practice. He is a member of the California Dental Association and is a certified Invisalign provider.
Aside from the practice of dentistry, Dr. Young is experiencing the joys and trials of being a first-time father. He and his wife enjoy life at home next to Golden Gate Park with their one-year-old son and dread the upcoming terrible twos.

I had an extremely pleasant visit with Dr. Young. He took the time to check all boxes, and present options in an honest manner. I love this place so much, it is so clean and spacious. The location is amazing too, just accross the Livermore outlet with lots of parking space. I highly recommend Dr. Collin of Crystal Smiles Dental. He took care of my teeth and made all my appointments as easy and comfortable as he can. I am currently pregnant and they treated me well and carefully. His assistant Annie was super nice and caring too, they even provided blanket for me so I am always warm and comfortable during all my procedures. I love that they are open on Saturdays too! Super easy to book and schedule an appointment. My experience as a whole was amazing. All my treatments were done smoothly. If you're looking for a dental office, i highly recommend you check this place.

Got an appointment for an urgent tooth extraction for the same day and they were extremely helpful in communicating details and cost. The assistant also speaks fluent Cantonese for those with parents who do not speak English. That really made the difference for us :)

Just went in for my 6 month cleaning/exam with Dr. Young and he did the cleaning himself. How often doo you get the dentist to do the cleaning??? And, it was probably one of the best cleanings I've ever had. He is personable, dedicated, with state of the art equipment. If you're looking for a cutting edge dentist, Dr. Colin Young is for you!! You can't do better.....

Great visit, I have ptsd from when I was a kid for anything medical. Doctor Young didn't give me any great discomfort when cleaning or when checking the health of my teeth. Usually I'd be poked and prodded with the tools making it uncomfortable or painful but I felt no such discomforts by Dr. Young. He was efficient so the mild discomforts during cleaning were bearable. He also explained clearly the problems at hand and possible solutions.
