Dr. Desaihas been treating families for over 18 years. He took over Crystal Lake Smiles from Dr. Robert Nelson who practiced for over 30 years before going on to enjoy a well deserved retirement. Dr. Nelsons wonderful staff stayed on to continue doing what they love which is seeing all of Dr. Nelsons old patients as well as every new patient that walks in our door.

Dr. Desai graduated dental school from The Ohio State University in 1999, and went on to complete a surgical residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH in 2000. He lives in Lake in the Hills with his wife and two children and is extremely proud to practice in his own community!
Another long-term and talented hygienist, Carol has been with the office for close to 20 years! Like Cindy, she has an easygoing and positive demeanor that makes cleanings a breeze. Just sit back, relax, and walk away with a brighter and healthier smile!
Sylvia is our friendly, helpful, and efficient Office Managerknown and beloved by all who enter our office! She has been with Dr. Desai since he took over the practice in 2013 and with Dr. Nelson for 30 years prior. If she looks familiar, its because she hasnt left in 35 years!
Yet another tenured and skilled hygienist, and another friendly office presence! Ali has been with Dr. Desai and Dr. Nelson for a total of 18 years. She greets every patient with a welcoming smile and has the ability to put them at ease with her calm manner.
Our lead hygienist, Cindy has worked with Dr. Desai since 2013 and with Dr. Nelson for 22 years prior! She (rightfully!) takes great pride in her remarkable hygiene skills, and she offers a friendly, smiling face to help instantly put patients at ease! Youll be glad you came in for a cleaning!
Carol is Dr. Desais assistant and has been with the office for over 19 yearsboth with Dr. Desai and with Dr. Nelson. She remembers every patient to walk through the door and will greet you with the warmest of smiles. While in the chair, instantly relax with her easy conversation!

All of the staff here have been here for 20+ years. My husband actually has been going here forever and told me to check it out when I was seeking a new dentist so I did; they truly care for you like family and Dr. Desai is extremely knowledgeable and takes care of his patients with full attention to detail. Highly recommend 10/10

Dr Desai always makes sure everything is perfect and is always so friendly which is a huge plus along with being a hard working and intelligent dentist. Everyone that works at this office are so sweet too! My fear of dentists went away once I started going here.

My family and I have been using Crystal Lake Smiles for several years and they have exceeded our expectations. We have the utmost trust in Dr. Desai and his entire staff. The last dentist I visited locally was more interested in showcasing all the cosmetic procedures and selling me services that I wasn't sure were needed...which is NOT the case here. Dr. Desai and staff are always professional and courteous while making a trip to the dentist enjoyable...they are always smiling! I highly recommend Crystal Lake Smiles.

Even though we moved to the Geneva area over 5 years ago, we are happy to make the drive back up to Crystal Lake to Crystal Lake Smiles! Dr. Desai and staff provide excellent care and excellent value-- a very patient focused practice! Dr. Desai is a talented dentist who uses new techniques and ideas to not only maintain our smiles, but improve them. We know we have found the best!

Can't say enough about how Dr. Desai helped me. My teeth were so sensitive that I had trouble eating anything. Went to several dentists seeking help he is the only one who recommend a certain kind of treatment that literally healed my mouth from sensitivity!! My whole family loves to go to him! I highly recommend Dr. Desai to everyone looking for a top notch Dentist who truly comes through when it counts. Just love him!!!

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Desai, who spent significantly more time in the room with me than I've ever had from a doctor in the past! My procedures were completely pain free, and I felt like they genuinely cared about my experience and valued me as a client. I've bounced from dentist to dentist over the last few visits (not really caring much about who dealt with my teeth), but those days are over now! Thanks for taking such good care of me.

Doc Desai and his entire staff are unbelievable. Friendly , caring . I'm a big whimp when it comes to the dentist , I had a crown break out and through the months process ( alot of cavities ) the doc was right . I don't mind going to the dentist now nor will I ever put it off again . Completely professional , friendly , and best of all they wait till a sharp tool isnt in your mouth to talk to you . Will stay with this place for years to come
