Brushing and flossing are vital to having a healthy mouth, but no oral hygiene routine is complete without dental cleanings at least twice a year as part of a regular dental checkup. Dental cleaning is important to keep teeth clean and to help your body maintain oral health.

Just as you need to look after the rest of your body to look good, so you need to care for your teeth and gums. When your visit your dentist for dental cleaning and prevention treatment, he will examine your teeth fully and usually take a full set of x-rays at the same time; these will allow him to see what is going on inside your gums and jaw bone.

Once completed, he will evaluate the findings and put together a plan of action. This will involve you visiting the practice for regular check-ups. The treatment may include such things as:Cleaning and polishing your teethChecking your gumsScreening for oral cancerTaking X-raysExamining existing dental work

Cleaning and polishing: This will remove tartar from your teeth as well as plaque, which is formed from bacteria. If left in place, inflammation will eventually occur. He will then polish your teeth to make them look good, removing stains at the same time.

X-rays: These will allow the doctor to check inside your jaw bone and teeth for such things as bone loss, problems with development, teeth in the wrong position, tumors, abscesses and any other hidden problems.Existing dental work: The doctor will check all fillings, crowns, bridges, implants etc. for any damage or signs of wear and tear.

Crowns Now – Greenville – Woodruff Road - General dentist in Greenville, SC

By relying on digital X-rays, our doctors are able to make precise, detailed images of your teeth that are instantly accessible and offer an easy way to discuss your treatment plan and potential areas of concern. This way, the doctors recommendations are easier to understand.

Did you know that thousands of people every year are diagnosed with oral cancer? This disease can be devastating and even deadly if left untreated for too long. Thats why diagnosing oral cancer in its earliest stages is so crucial to the treatment process. The doctor can quickly and comfortably scan for oral cancer as a part of your routine dental check-up. The doctor will be looking for any tissue abnormalities that could suggest its presence.

Everyone should consider having dental cleaning and preventative work on a regular basis. Good dental hygiene and detection of any problems early on can help you avoid more serious issues later, such as gum disease or tooth decay. This does not mean that you should not continue to take care of your teeth at home. As well as cleaning your teeth carefully you should always watch out for any signs of inflammation of the gums, damage to the teeth or possible oral disease.

The DuraSmile Dental Implant procedure is an option for patients who need a whole set of upper and lower teeth permanently replaced. The procedure is a relatively new technique in dentistry and allows patients to receive an entire arch of beautiful teeth in a single surgical procedure By using just 4 dental implants instead of one implant per tooth, the procedure can replace an entire set of teeth without the need for repeat surgical visits and of course DuraSmile is very strong, long-lasting, dependable and low maintenance.

Crowns Now – Greenville – Woodruff Road - General dentist in Greenville, SC

DuraSmile and All on 4 are terms used to describe a procedure that allows patients to receive beautiful teeth in just one surgical procedure You may hear of other versions of this procedure such as Teeth in an Hour, Dental Implants in One Day, Teeth In One Day, Teeth In One Visit. While they go by many names, all refer to a one-day implant treatment, which restores a full arch of replacement teeth.

The DuraSmile treatment concept utilizes four dental implants to attach your new set of permanent replacement teeth in a minimally invasive way. The dental implants used in this procedure are specially designed for immediate function and typically do not require bone grafting. This treatment is attractive for those patients with dentures or in need of full upper and/or lower restorations. If you are about to lose your teeth or have many missing teeth, the DuraSmile-procedure can help you achieve a beautiful smile and teeth in just one surgical procedure.

Unlike other approaches that involve more laborious and costly techniques often requiring bone grafting, sinus lifts, and eight or more implants per arch, which can take up to 3 years to complete treatment. Our Crowns Now, doctors use this proven technique that involves only four specially placed implants without the need for bone grafts and sinus lifts. Your new teeth can be completed in just a surgical procedure.

The end result is a solid base of teeth that are fixed in place and cannot be removed by the patient. It means reduced healing times allowing our patients to regain their original youthful smile and original function faster, more reliably. The DuraSmile technique is FDA approved and has a long history of success.

DuraSmile dental implants are placed during an outpatient surgical procedure in our Crowns Now Surgical Suite. Most patients will want to take advantage of some sort of sedation for this procedure, in addition to the local anesthetic that will be used.

A full set of dentures allows for about 10%-20% of chewing capacity compared to a full set of natural teeth. This means a softer diet, which may eliminate some of the foods that youre accustomed to eating. With permanent dental implants, you can regain your self-confidence and 90%-100% of your chewing ability. Eat the foods you once enjoyed. More often than not, denture wearers complain that their denture ends up flopping around a lot. A denture is a last resort. This state-of-the-art technique is specifically designed for individuals to re-establish their chewing function, stop bone loss and the effects of aging.

Professional teeth whitening is among the most popular cosmetic dental procedures because it can quickly and effectively lighten your teeth by removing stains and discoloration and leave you with a bright, brilliant sheen. For many, a brighter smile means improved self-confidence and greater enthusiasm for living life to its fullest.

Professional teeth whitening can quickly and effectively lighten your teeth to a brilliant sheen. For many, a brighter smile means improved self-confidence and greater enthusiasm for living life to its fullest.

There are several causes of tooth discoloration, including food and drinks like coffee, tea, wine and tobacco. Medications and disease can also cause discoloration, and your teeth naturally darken with age.

Teeth whitening is a simple process. Whitening products contain one of two tooth bleaches (hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide). These bleaches break stains into smaller pieces, which makes the color less concentrated and your teeth brighter.

The doctor at Crowns Now will use a procedure called chairside bleaching and usually requires only one office visit. The dentist will apply either a protective gel to your gums or a rubber shield to protect your gums. Bleach is then applied to the teeth. A special light or laser might be used to enhance the action of the whitening agent. Your teeth can literally brighten up to 10 shades in about an hour.

Finally, professional teeth whitening can last for one or more years, depending on how well you take care of your teeth, and if youre following up regularly with a home whitening product for regular maintenance.

What is Sedation Dentistry or Sleep Dentistry?Sedation dentistry, sometimes called Sleep Dentistry, is a safe, gentle option used to help patients relax while they are having dental treatment. Medication will be used but you usually remain awake, unless you opt for a general anesthetic which will make you sleep.

Being sedated while you have dental work completed brings with it many benefits. Your anxiety will be relieved, you will be less aware or totally unaware of the procedure being carried out and your fear will be a thing of the past.

If the thought of dental treatment fills you with dread, then sedation dentistry is well worth considering. Whether you have a phobia or something less, by allowing your dentist to sedate you, dental treatment can be carried out quickly and efficiently. Talk to your dentist about sedation dentistry if you have problems with any of the following:

Crowns Now-Greenville was recommended by by a friend. Choosing a dentist/doctor is always a daunting task because you don't want to choose the wrong one that will be responsible for your healthcare. You read reviews after reviews, positive and negatives, and you pray that you weed through and find the right dentist. Well, I did! From the time I walked in until I left, each staff member that I encountered even just walking through the hallway was pleasant. Dr Armbruster and assistantso took time to explain in detail the condition of my teeth, the treatment process, and additional care. X-rays were on the screen, where I could view them while the doctor pointed out the areas of concern. Unfortunately, I had put off going to the dentist because as with most doctor visits and treatments it can be expensive, but not at Crowns Now! They are very affordable, caring and knowledgeable. If I had known about Crowns Now 6 months or year ago, I may have been able to save one of my molars. I was afraid of the cost to treat my tooth/teeth, which delayed me going to the dentist but at Crowns Now that's not a concern. They are a one stop shop for all your dental needs. Thus, I am happy to report that I've found my new lifetime dentist. I'm looking toward to having a cleaner, healthier smile.

This place still uses MapQuest and their documents have not been updated in over 10 years. They also have vulnerable "surveillance" cameras in their offices that are a cybersecurity threat. So if you give them your information it may or may not be secure. And they are probably filming you on an unsecured server (or even worse, in the cloud), so enjoy your worldwide online debut. They also don't know how to give proper instructions. Good luck figuring out where to go. They send you 55 text messages about appointment reminders but not one telling you where the office is located. They have five offices in the area so pick one I guess. I was told that they usually "assume you know where to go". So thanks for blaming me because your comms methods are outdated. And let's all pause to remember what the word "ASSUME" really means. I will admit they send information about the location in a single email - however, it is buried in a small group of links that one would imagine not many people look at. So if I went to the wrong place, perhaps it is shame on me. The office I called for the appointment is the office I went to and was told it was the wrong one. The performance by the front desk should be an embarrassment to the organization. The CSR I spoke with obviously had very little training and even admitted they were new and didn't know a whole lot. But it doesn't take much to know how to be a good rep for the company you work for. Rule number one: the customer is always right. Rule number two: see rule number one. Believe me, I was not made to feel right at this place at all. There were at least three others behind the desk and not one of them offered to assist. They may be very busy, but that tells me a lot about their level of service and personalized care. Think...revolving door. The place is a corporate dental farm. Keep your mouth shut around this dinosaur and look elsewhere.

I had such a wonderful experience here. I had an old crown that didn't match my other teeth with shape or color. I have such anxiety at the dentist, that it took me nearly 20 years to finally get it resolved. Everyone was so kind and helped ease my troubles..I got the crown replaced and now I have back my awesome smile with a tooth that actually matches all the others. Did I mention it's my front tooth??!!! So it was very noticeable. The cost is very affordable. Definitely recommend them for your dental needs.

Schedule with Dr. "A" (Abellana). He is a fantastic dentist, the prices were VERY reasonable. He is personable, knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. Also he took the time to explain everything he was doing prior to doing it, which really helped ease my nerves. His dental hygienists were also skilled, kind, professional and friendly. Just an all-round good place to go for dental care!

Wendy is amazing!! She walked me through what she was doing, how she was doing it, and why it's important. She explained why correct flossing is so important in avoiding tartar, the thing they use that other horrible thing to scrape our teeth. Overall, she is the nicest and informative dental hygienist I've met. Even thought I had my mouth gaping open while talking to her, she made it a pleasant experience. Her and Dr. AA make a great team!

I've been a patient of Crowns Now for over 10 years. I recently visited for my annual 6 month cleaning and experienced the same great customer service I've come to expect from this office. From the moment you walk in the door, everyone is super friendly and overly professional. They treat you like you are a member of the family from start to finish and always provide excellent, quality care. I highly recommend.

I got terrible service. I wanted to get a consultation I made an appointment online went in the following day to attend my appointment. Online it says that the consultation is free once I arrived at the location in Greenville Woodruff Road I asked the necessary questions. I was given uncertain answers and was given paperwork without me fully understanding my options by the employees ... finally spoke to a doctor in the waiting room who told me that the online appointment scheduling is a request and not actually an appointment. Which is completely unprofessional on the website it says nothing about a request. This office is unsure about their online scheduling.

I had implants done at the Woodruff road office. I was not told that I had to come to their office for my dental cleanings for the implants to be guaranteed. I would have had them cleaned there if I had known that. 7 years later, I am told by 2 specialists from 2 different practices that my implants were not seated enough in my bone. This caused bacteria to get under the implants and deteriorate the bone. I am now going to have to have those implants removed, a bone graft done and new implants. I do not recommend Dr. Wimpy for dental implants. I waisted my money.

After several months of putting together a care plan, and "waiting on insurance" I ended up not getting ANY work done here. I was fully prepared to pay full price, and they were just dragging their feet. I went to another dentist office who got everything done in less than a month. I was very disappointed with how many visits I made to this office, only to find out they could not get me done in time for my wedding.

Horrible Customer Experience!!! I was told by receptionist Margaret that my insurance was good too go a month before my appointment. I arrived on site and I'm told it was NOT in network!! Then employees walking in the room I'm located in cleaning up while I'm on the phone verifying my insurance.Come on guys, you must do better!! Very unprofessional in my personal opinion. It's best not to tell a patient that they are covered in network unless you KNOW for sure.
