Sacramento Dentist Dr. Christopher Chan grew up in San Jose, the oldest of three children. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles where he received his undergraduate degrees in Biology and American Literature and Culture in 1999 and later received his dental degree from University of the Pacific Dental School in 2002.

Prior to establishing Crown Dentistry in the Sacramento, California suburb of Natomas, Dr. Chan gained knowledge and hands-on experience by associating himself with dental offices throughout the Sacramento region. He is dedicated to learning the latest advancements in General Dentistry and enjoys keeping up to date with current dental technology through continuing education and advanced training. He has taken advanced training courses in CEREC single visit crowns, oral conscious sedation, and implant dentistry to keep your mouth in excellent shape no matter what happens. His office is also more environmentally friendly with paperless records and digital x-rays.

Dr. Chan is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento District Dental Society. Locally he is a member of The River Church of Natomas, the Natomas Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations. When Dr. Chan is not practicing dentistry he spends his time with his lovely wife and their two beautiful daughters. He is an avid volleyball player and loves to practice his acoustic guitar, play video games as well as increase his knowledge of movie trivia.

Natomas Dentist Dr. Christopher Chan further recognizes the need for everyone to become involved in their communities with their civic responsibilities and is a proud business owner in the Natomas community. His Natomas dental practice has been in business for over eight years.

Although I work at Crown Dentistry on a part-time basis, I have a full-time dedication to the care I give our wonderful patients. I have been in the dental field for the last 33 years, starting out as a dental assistant and becoming a dental hygienist in 2001. I graduated from Foothill College, where our RDH class placed second in national boards!

Not only will I clean your teeth, I will also do my best to educate and assist you in making decisions that lay a healthy foundation for oral health. My goal is to ensure that my patients understand how periodontal disease happens and the manner in which we can prevent it. I truly enjoy my work of contributing to your healthy smile. One of my favorite things about being your hygienist is getting to know YOU!

I worked as a Dental Assistant, briefly, while I worked on my degree to get into the Dental Hygiene program. I graduated and became a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist in 2015. I can honestly, and truly, say Dental Hygiene is my passion in life and Im so blessed to have found it. Working for Dr. Chan and the rest of the Crown Crew has been an amazing, educational, and personally developing experience.

Aside from being a Hygienist, Im a total Dog Mom to an eight-year-old Rat Terrier and love all animals. I recently became a Jacksonville Jaguars fan. I enjoy participating in recreational softball, hiking, kayaking, spending time with people, running, traveling, and baking. Go Jags!

I received a degree in nursing in 1997, but I was quickly disheartened by the role nurses played in the medical field at that time. When I had the opportunity to join a very well established dental practice and apply my medical knowledge to dentistry, I jumped at the chance. Dr. Chan also worked at that practice. We have worked together ever since, and I couldnt be happier. I love the people I work with and we have all become like family.

I have a wonderful husband named Troy and two Boxer dogs named Tess and Duke that have hilarious personalities. I love to watch my husband race his car, and together, we enjoy jetskiing and playing pool.

For almost 15 years, my work life has revolved around dentistry. I have been active in every area of the dental practice, from chairside assisting to front office administration. This experience really helps me make sure Dr. Chans practice is operating smoothly and efficiently. My favorite part of the job, though, is interacting with patients, getting to know them, understanding their dental needs, making sure they understand the purpose of their next visit, and helping them with financial planning for their care.

I have studied at both Fresno City College and Kaplan College, and since graduation, I have been dedicated to helping patients fit dentistry into their day-to-day lives. Now I have the pleasure of working with a team that is just as committed to both patients and dentistry as I am! We are not only co-workers; we are family.

Dental implants have become the preferred measure of patient care when it comes to replacing missing or failing teeth. Implants, made of titanium roots, are biocompatible and encourage new bone formation, allowing them to be even stronger than regular tooth roots. This means that implants can be used to support anything from single porcelain crown to multiple tooth dental bridges, or even full mouth dentures.

Although many dentists offer implant restoration services, there are far fewer that provide start to finish implant therapy in their practices. Dr. Christopher Chan provides implant therapies beginning with comprehensive treatment as well as restoring implants for patients that have come from other dental practices.

Titanium is extremely biocompatible, making it the material of choice for many types of procedures, including joint replacements. A process called osseointegration encourages new bone growth around the implant, fusing it with the jaw and making it extremely strong, so strong that the weight of multiple teeth can be supported on just one implant root.

Traditional dentures are often bulky and make it difficult to enjoy meals or even to talk. Implant-retained dentures are much more streamlined. Shaped like a U, they follow the shape of the natural jawbone in the mouth and free up space that was traditionally used to create a suction to hold the denture in. Most implant-retained dentures can be placed on as few as 4 implant roots. Unlike traditional dentures, implant-retained dentures stay in place permanently and never have to be removed.

I've been a patient of Crown Dentistry and Dr. Chan for years now. They keep you on track with their oral hygiene program. They specialize in taking care of patients who needs to see a dentist, but just kept putting it off.

Always very friendly and upbeat greetings from the staff. Punctuality is also in high regards at this dentistry. My dental hygienist did an awesome, careful job on my visit. She gave updates on my teeth as she cleaned them including praises for having taken care of them. Crown dentistry is an excellent place for your dental needs. I do recommend this establishment.

I have been going to Crown Dentist for 4 or 5 years. This last visit was, as always, an excellent experience. The lady that cleaned my teeth was very kind, thorough, and gentle. Dr. Chan was the same--kind, thorough, and gentle. I am very thankful to have found this office. I highly recommend them. Leon Skinner

Dr. Chris Chan and his staff Joann and newbie Becky and Steve are kind and true to their mission of giving a patient the care and time to breathe and heal. They understand the anxiety and nightmare that some patients go through just to reach that dentist's chair. I thank them for their encouragement and patience with us fearful ones.
