Dr. Hawkins is a proud Texan from the great city of McAllen. She is a 2005 graduate of Texas Tech University where she received her B.S. in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She later went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas School of Dentistry Houston. Dr. Hawkins mission is to help patients achieve optimal oral health through education, prevention techniques, and cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Hawkins is a two-time All-American in tennis and enjoys her time off at the nearest lake or on the beach. She has two adorable dogs, Raider, a German Shepherd, and Dak, a Pomeranian. Dr. Hawkins is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and is a Fellow of the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Hawkins is also certified by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics on the use and administration of Botox and dermal filler injectables.
Vicki was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle (Pampa) and resided there until she went to college. She received her Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas State University in 1988, moved to Kilgore, TX, then received her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene in 1993 from Tyler Junior College. She attends continuing education courses each year, is certified in CPR, has OSHA training, and has served on the Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygiene Board. Her favorite part of being part of the Crown Dentistry team is meeting new people and helping them reach optimal oral health. When shes not in the office, she likes walking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Vicki has been married since 1993 and has two teenage daughters that cheerlead at their high school. She loves to travel, shop, and occasionally cook. Shes very happy to be part of the Crown Dentistry family because its such a caring environment, and says that Dr. Hawkins is always striving for perfection.

It might sound like an exaggeration when we say the appearance of your smile may be a source of emotional pain, but for people that keep their lips tight when photographed or cover their mouths when laughing, its no stretch of the truth. Veneers began as a temporary way to make celebrity smiles sparkle on screen. With time and technology, theyve become a permanent procedure thats offered in dental offices across the nation. At Crown Dentistry, we place customized porcelain and zirconia veneers.
If youd like to see a bright, white smile in under an hour, we can provide an in-office GLO Science treatment and send you home with a maintenance kit meant to make those results last longer. GLO stands for Guided Light Optics, which combines light and heat in a closed-system mouthpiece to boost the gels stain-lifting power.
If you love the look of veneers but need a less permanent solution that works with your budget, bonding could be right for you. Your smile can be made brighter, smoother, and more even with a mixture of tooth-colored composite resin and porcelain thats molded to your teeth. Dr. Hawkins will harden the sculpted mixture with an LED light, then polish it to perfection. Bonding requires minimal prep, if any, and will last longer with diligent care.
If youre not happy with the appearance of your gumline, whether it feels or looks uneven or seems to hide more of your teeth than it shows, it can be shaped to show more of your beautiful crowns. The process of gum contouring usually only requires a local anesthetic and one visit, and your results will be immediate. Your mouth is fast to heal, but youll want to be gentler than usual during brushing and flossing for a few weeks after gum contouring.

5 BIG stars for this office!!! EVERYONE in this office is very polite, professional and just a pleasure! The Dr. Hawkins was so personable and down to earth. She explained everything that needed to be done, and took her time with me. The hygienist was awesome too! Explained everything she was doing and I felt very comfortable with her. I highly recommend this office!

Dr Hawkins is caring and provides excellent care. I received a root canal and 2 crowns, and I did not feel any pain. Her staff is also friendly and professional. They definitely make you feel welcome.

Dr. Hawkins and her teammates have been nothing short of spectacular for me. I have always been self concious of my smile and embarassed to see the dentist, but the pain from a major infection left me with no option. Our consultation was quick, comforting, and reassuring. I left feeling confident for the first time in decades. I returned for an unexpected extraction (oral surgeon was booked). It wasn't an easy job, but two days in and I'm healing at a rapid pace, ZERO pain at the site. She is a miracle worker.

Well I have been coming to Dr. Hawkins for quite some time now. I am not into giving reviews but I like to see what others have to say. Because it helps me on my decision to try the establishment. So I decided to give one. Dr. Goes the extra mile to make you feel safe and calm. Very attentive to my needs and always smiling. Her staff is amazing..so caring and willing to work with you..scheduling and otherwise. All of them are great people. You will not be disappointed!!

The entire staff always make me feel welcomed. Melissa, my hygienist, treated me with care. She happily answered all of my questions. Dr. Hawkins also did the same and she was very glad to see me again, since my last visit in 2019. Marquisha at the front office was extremely respectful and courteous. She explained my cost in a clear and organized manner. I really love coming to Crown Dentistry. Good location, too!

I'm amazed at the energy, professionalism and just the really genuinely nice staff. I get really really nervous meeting new people in general, especially health related. Absolutely love Dr. Hawkins. I'm usually not one to be so quick to write a review. But this Dr. deserves it. She has a upbeat bubbly personality & never does unnecessary work. Very thorough & direct, makes you comfortable. Glad to have a dentist I can trust. Also, Lynn is a great hygienist. I always try to get on her schedule.

I love this place. I usually detest dentists but this place is AWESOME!! The check in was easy, the office beautiful, Dr Hawkins and her staff are Amazing and the services was Great! Definitely worth the trip. I will be back. Plus they have "DAK"!!!
