Dr. James Chun earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Mary Washington College in 1997 and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve Dental School of Medicine in 2004. Dedicated to honing his clinical skills, he completed a general practice residency in 2005 at the Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Chun, committed to being at the forefront of implant, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry, trained at the world-renowned Misch International Implant Institute and is certified in Invisalign. Dr. Chun passed the North East Regional and the Southern Regional Boards, and is licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Chun is a native Virginian and a loving husband and father to two sons and one daughter. His passions include snowboarding, cars, and football. He is an avid D.C. sports fan, and particularly enjoys watching and attending Virginia Tech and Redskins games.

Diane Miller has worked in the dental industry for more than 20 years and possesses a wealth of knowledge in dental care. She is a certified dental assistant, and is X-ray and CPR certified. Diane has managed dental offices for the last 20 years and prides herself on fostering great relationships with patients to make visits comfortable. She takes the time needed to review treatment plans and procedures to ensure a positive experience for patients. Diane has a strong love for dogs, and her hobbies include cooking and working out. She is married with two children who live in the Maryland area.

Like many others here, my only problem was getting a response and appointment in the first place. There is no confirmation email or text system, which makes me nervous about misread dates/typos. Once I managed to become a patient things were great. Dr. Chun is super friendly and reassuring. I would recommend calling rather than using the website form.

Crown dental hands down has the best customer service. From the time you walk in the staff there Danielle, Jessica and Angel are with you from beginning to end. Let me not forget to mention Lauren the hygienist she is so nice and friendly my kids loved her. Literally my entire family goes here and I will not be changing dental office no time soon.

They LIE! Received mail flier saying open Sat. I took 40" bus only ti find locked door . If they lie in writing imagine $hitty dental care

Dr James did great work filling in some minor cavities, was so quick and painless didn't even use numbing. Also they use new tech to clean teeth with the water which is so much nicer than just scraping which alot of other dentists still do, outdated elsewhere. I highly recommend

Since childhood I had a very horrific experience with dentists and my anxiety followed me to adulthood. It wasn't until Dr Chun came into my life that I feel so confident with my smile and the fear of going in to the office has all but diminished. I'm so lucky to have found this beautiful office and Dr. Chun, we've had extractions, root canals, Implants, and simple cleanings, and each time I've walked away with a smile. From the office staff to the dental assistants everyone has greeted me & treated me with utmost kindness and eased me when my anxiety tried to peek back in. Thank you for coming into my life and helping me find my beautiful smile again. 12/10 recommend.

The service representatives in the front are not very friendly and the assistant who helped to put my crown in was also rude. If the dental hygienist and Dr. Was not great and helpful I would've given them a zero. I just recently asked them to email me a receipt and they didn't do it. Called after two weeks and they responded very negatively though I need it to submit it to my fsa administrator. May be looking for a new doctor if their customer service doesn't improve.

A great experience! I came into the office visibly shaking like a leaf, and afraid of the "unknown". It wasn't until Becky came to greet and had a conversation with me that I was able to sigh in relief. During the procedure, Becky continuously checked on my well being, and I was very impressed! Becky, Thanks for taking care of me!

They do not have any appointment date and time confirmation system which sends an email or text BLACK LISTED DUE TO HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE.

Recently Relocated here & encountered a severe toothache that needed a filling. Found this location within proximity of my home. This place made sure they racked up a substantial bill on my insurance and charged for cleaning, and kept trying to upsell Services instead of focusing on the original reason I came there to begin with. Left their location....After exams...after cleaning....STILL WITH TOOTHACHE....Too much focus on upselling things instead of True Patient Care. ...I would not recommend going here as a NEW Patient....1 Star

I tried for weeks to schedule an appointment online and wasn't able to get a response. When I finally did, I ask for a morning appointment anytime within the next few weeks, and was given a late afternoon time. No follow up when I tried to request a morning appt again. Finally, I decided to stop by to schedule and was told they weren't sure if my insurance covered dental. I was positive it did and figured it was accepted as I found their information on my insurance website. I was told I would get a call in a day to confirm. Never did. I tried calling and was told they hadn't check yet. The day before my appointment, I emailed them just to tell me my insurance isn't covered. Doesn't make sense but I"m not going to fight it. It didn't feel that we were wanted so I will look elsewhere for a new dentist. My overall experience was just frustrating unfortunately.
