In 2021, Dr. Greg Glavan celebrates thirty years in dentistry. He started his own practice and opened Crow River Dental in January 2012. It was his dream come truea dream that started when he was young and was awed by all the instruments his childhood dentist used.
Dr. Glavan graduated from the University of Minnesota with a major in biochemistry and a concentration in chemistry. He attended the University of Minnesotas School of Dentistry and worked in product development for the 3M Medical Products Division, where he became an expert in biological monitoring and infection control. He later consulted for 3Ms Dental Products Division and gave infection control presentations at dental conventions nationwide. In 2019, he was voted Best of DelanoDentists by the readers of the Delano Herald Journal.
In addition to his role as a Minnesota-licensed fireworks display operator, Dr. Glavan serves on the board of directors for Northern Lighter Pyrotechnics (NLP) an organization that puts on fireworks displays, including the Delano Fourth of July. He is NLPs parliamentarian and media committee chair and is frequently interviewed by local media regarding pyrotechnics and fireworks safety.
An avid historian, Dr. Glavan is a member of the Iron Range Historical Society (with past stints on both the board of directors and executive board), the Cuyuna Iron Range Heritage Network, the Washington County Historical Society of Minnesota, and the Gale Family Library of the Minnesota Historical Society. He is an editor for Wikipedia and is the principal author of Wikipedias articles on the Minnesota ghost towns of Elcor and Manganese.
Dr. Glavan is a contributing member, sustaining member, and sponsor of the Lake Superior Railroad museum in Duluth, Minnesota, and is currently working on achieving his conductors license for the North Shore Scenic Railway.
He is also a sponsor of the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails Crew, having been involved with the Crew since they began. His favorite event is the Great Lakes Fat Bike Series 45NRTH Whiteout, where past sponsorship has earned him the title: The Official Dentist to the Cuyuna Lakes Yeti.
Dr. Glavan is married and has two grown daughters and two grandchildren. He grew up in White Bear Lake and has deep family ties to the Iron Range. He has a miniature schnauzer, Ranger, and in his spare time enjoys reading, fishing, cooking, wine, collecting coins and antique Christmas ornaments, astronomy, music, and the Sonoran desert.

I do not suggest this dental office. I had a dependent who went here for a filling. I requested the filling to be dental composite (white filling). After the work was done I noticed the filling was silver. The office said they could remove the silver and replace the filling with white. We agreed that in a later visit the replacement work would be done. Months later the filling was replaced and shortly after I decided to switch dental offices due to poor customer service and among many other things. When we visited our new dental office they advised me that the tooth Crow River Dental had done the replacement filling on would need to be pulled because the root was rotted. Crow River Dental also claimed child neglect when I told the office I wouldn't be doing the fillings suggested for another dependent of mine. At this point in time I had acquired a new dental office to do the work.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! Everyone is super friendly and they do a great job getting you in if you're having any pain that can't wait. I was numbed up quickly and had no pain!

I give 5 stars specifically to Dr. Greg and his support staff. I have a daughter that was EXTREMELY scared of getting her teeth pulled. The first time I brought her to get her teeth pulled the doctor wasn't able to complete the job because of my child's anxiety and fear. The second time I went in (with my daughter now being even more terrified) she had Dr. Greg and he was an ALL star. (you too Amber!) He took the time to pull up funny youtube videos to make her laugh, make jokes and took plenty of time to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for her. He was extremely knowledgeable with great bedside manners.

Excellent operation from front of house team, hygienists, to Dr Greg and Dr Kay. The care and attention to you, as well as the direct straight talk about your care is refreshing. The flow in the office from front to leaving is well managed. Setting up appointments is easy, changing them simple, and they remind you with phone, email, and/or text, your choice! If you have dental anxiety, their bedside manner is awesome, and they check frequently during the exam to see how you are doing, and if there is any pain!. You will be coached and advised how to make your teeth better, and if you listen they can improve your life! Amber has made me healthier and happier, because of her professional work! I drive past 5 other dentists over 35 minutes and so should you! They are so good, they are expanding their practice!
