Dr. Nakhla was born and raised in the East Bay and attended Monte Vista High School in Danville. He completed his undergraduate degree with a BS in Biology from UC Davis. Dr. Nakhla is a proud graduate of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He continually pursues further training and education in advancements of techniques and procedures to keep his patients happy and healthy.
Dr. Nakhla is also well versed in all the latest restorative & cosmetic procedures including in-office bleaching, Invisalign, porcelain crowns, laminate veneers, tooth colored fillings, dentures, partials, the use of implants to help retain dentures and partials, and more. Dr. Nakhla takes pride in knowing that he offers quality care based on individual needs and wants of his patients. His reputation has been built on the trust and respect of his patients, and he has always had an outstanding, friendly, well-educated staff ready to help patients with all their needs. His professional goal is to evaluate a patients needs, then, in concert with the patient, arrive at a treatment plan that meets the patients goals and expectations. Dr. Nakhla is consistently looking for new ways to advance his practice and believes that continuing education for himself, his team, and his patients is the key to well-rounded care.

He prides himself in being able to offer patients a balanced and complete array of dental treatment options, catering to each individuals needs and desires. Dr. John realizes that the practice of dentistry isnt only about taking care of teeth, but the providing oral health care as part of your overall health. With that in mind, he focuses on providing patient-centered family care. As a doctor, he recognizes that his patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in him and this team. That is just one reason why Dr. Nakhla values each and every patient relationship.
Dr. Mark received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry; San Francisco, CA. Prior to completing his doctorate Dr. Mark earned a BS, in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from University of California.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Mark knew from a young age he wanted to follow his parents footsteps into healthcare. Through many years of studying and hard work, he found his calling to serve the community as a dentist. Away from the office, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. He also enjoys serving in the youth ministry at his local church, playing basketball, and dont be surprised if you see Dr. Mark roaming the office in Bay Area sports gear, especially his beloved Warriors.
Dr. Mark strives to give his patients a beneficial and comforting experience by listening to their concerns, understanding their needs, and explaining their condition. He cares that his patients enjoy their visit while taking advantage of the practices technologically-advanced treatments. Throughout the process he looks forward to building a life-long relationship and sharing some laughs with you.

Over priced and lousy work. You never get the same dentist either, so there is a lack of continuity. The older female dentist has the worst bedside manner ive ever seen and she flat out lied to me in order to charge me more for services i didnt need. I had to get A LOT of work corrected by my new dentist. Crow Canyon dental is always empty and I was always the only one in the waiting room with one of the assistants telling me she wished there was more business. So what does that tell you. Their business is clearly failing and I hope they figure it out. Its also strange how they still advertise the old dentists name when he has been retired for years now. I left a bad review before and the dentist actually tried to contact me about it which was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Dont have a google review account if you dont want honest feedback. All in all, just stay away and find one of the many great dentists in the east bay.

My mother referred me to Castro Valley / Crow Canyon Dental. She has always spoken very highly of all of the Doctors Nahkla, Andrew, their hygienist, and their office staff. She didn't exaggerate. I just had my first appointment with Andrew and Dr. Linda. They are both wonderful. They are gentle with exams, clear and concise explaining their findings, and development of a treatment plan. The office/insurance coordinator discussed the costs and out of pocket expense with the same clarity. I left the office knowing exactly what needs to be done, how to get there. I was treated with care and compassion. Crow Canyon Dental truly is the gold standard for dental care.

I've been going to this place seemingly forever, and that fact in and of itself should tell you everything. Very professional staff, very comfortable atmosphere, quick to get to for me, and whenever I am getting a procedure done, I trust they are doing the right thing. I've never felt bamboozled by insurance stuff here, either. Andrew does my teeth, and the guy is really, really, good and probably better than most that have been doing this much longer. Highly recommended for sure. A++

I have been going here for years. I recently went in for regular exam and cleaning. The staff are all very friendly. The hygienist Andrew is an expert; it was the most thorough and comfortable cleaning that I have ever had. All the doctors are also very knowledgeable. They take the time to explain what they are doing before they do it, and make sure I am comfortable every step of the way. Highly recommend.

I spent a lot of time searching and looking at reviews of dentistries, seeing which place would be a good fit for me. My girlfriend and I both found Crow Canyon Dental to be the best spot for us. I had a lot of work done just from not having insurance before, which made me prolong all the work I needed, so a lot built up. Dr. Mark Nakhla is one of the best doctors I could ever talk with about concerns regarding my teeth and which care plan would be best for me. He explained the whole process every time I came in for ether a filling or root canal. In addition, the entire team such as the hygienist, receptionist, scheduler and billing were great to work with, professional, and very caring for the work they do. Easy, fast, professional, and caring would be the simplest way to describe their work.

After being paranoid about Covid, I finally went to CCD after a 9 month hiatus. Dr Linda Nahkla treated me. I found everything about her absolutely perfect. She helped me prioritize my treatment, took time and effort to explain everything, treated me with respect and gentle care. She was quintessentially thorough and professional. I cannot praise her and the support staff more highly!
