South Carolina native, Dr. Steve Crossland, was raised in Greer, S.C. He earned his undergraduate degree from Furman University before he made his way to Charleston to attend The Medical University of South Carolina for dental school. Upon graduating from MUSC in 1985, Dr. Crossland entered the U.S. Navy for active duty. He continued his service with the Navy in the reserves for 15 years upon starting private practice in Ridgeville, S.C. In 1992, Dr. Crossland created Crossland Dental Associates in Mt Pleasant where he first practiced at a location on Anna Knapp Boulevard. A few short years later, the Crossland Dental Associates that we all know and love on Bowman Road in Mt. Pleasant was established.
Being the father to Nicholas, Harrison, Heather, Jenny, Troop & Buzz has kept him quite busy but he makes time to stay active with his favorite pastimes. He loves his church, East Cooper Baptist. Dr. Crossland is an avid hunter and loves to fish. Basketball, jogging, church and Bible study fill the remainder of his time. As well as giving back to this community with his volunteer hours at E.C.C.O. clinic here in Mt. Pleasant.
Dr. David Bodie is a native of Mount Pleasant. After graduating from Wando High School, he attended the College of Charleston where he earned his undergraduate degree. Dr. Bodie furthered his education at the Medical University of South Carolina where he excelled academically and clinically earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Bodies field of dental experience has been broadened and enhanced through his participation in dental mission trips to Africa and volunteering regularly at the Dream Centers dental clinic. Dr. Bodies training encompasses all aspects of dental care including cosmetic and restorative dentistry, preventive care, endodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Dr. Bodie is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, South Carolina Dental Association, and the American Society of Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry.
Dr. Bodie and his wife Natalie have two daughters. They are members of Seacoast Church and enjoy sports, traveling, and anything outdoors. It is Dr. Bodies strongest desire to provide the highest quality dental care possible for each patient at Crossland Dental Associates.

Dr. Bodie is a wonderful dentist for our whole family! He didn't hesitate to come help us on a Saturday after our teen knocked out a front tooth. The whole office team is very kind, professional & easy to communicate with. Thanks so much Dr. Bodie!!

Had my last wisdom tooth removed. I had three done somewhere else and I will tell yah I will never go anywhere else after a amazing time with doc Crossland. He was extremely quick and painless I don't know how but he could probably do this in his sleep.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Crossland since the early 90s and he and his team have taken good care of our teeth. The office is staffed with kind and very professional hygienists and assistants, and the front office staff is top notch! We highly recommend this dental practice.

Please know that this review is from someone that has NEVER trusted or had a good experience from a dentist. This review was not requested but it is deserved. I have had to go there for quite a bit of work since moving here two years ago. They never made me feel ashamed, never pressured me to do anything, and most of all made sure I was always comfortable (physically and mentally) I have been to Dr. Crossland and Dr. Bodie. Both were caring, considerate, and efficient. I am super bummed that I am no longer to go to them as I am moving but I made sure to get a lot done before having to leave. I trust their opinion and services undoubted. Everyone there is extremely friendly and flexible. I really can not say enough.

My husband and I love Crossland Dental. The staff are welcoming and efficient. The practice is maintained impeccably as well as being in a convenient location. We see Dr. Bode and my hygienist is Erica. I feel like I'm catching up with family when I visit! They get 5 stars!

My normal trusted tech was out today (Erika - love her - she's wonderful), so I had Gail - and she was awesome too! I always get nervous going to the dentist, but Crossland Dental is alway as enjoyable as going to the dentist can be. Dr. Bodie is great also! Highly recommend!

We moved out of Charleston, and have moved two hours away. We went to Crossland Dental Associates for 25 years, and tried to find a local dentist that would offer the same experience we had with them. After a bad experience with the only local dentist on our network, we made appointments and drove back to Charleston to get our 6 month cleanings done. The work done there, and the people at the office just can't be beat, and we will continue to use them even though they are two hours away.

We just moved to the Mt. Pleasant area and I have been bringing my mom to this Dr. Bodie for about a month. Once you see the dentist, the appt is fine. However, the three appts we had there has always been a 15-30min wait. They even called me once to push appt back 1/2hr and we still had to wait 20min. I may give more stars if not for the wait.

The crown replacement was very efficient and comfortable. Dr. Crossland made sure I was pain-free. The procedure was done within 3 hours since the new crown is made 'in house'. It feels like my own tooth and looks amazing! Everyone in this practice is friendly and hospitable.

Dentist gave me a lecture when I went to get a tooth pulled. Said the lecture was free and then told me I needed to borrow 10-20k from a rich family member since I didn't have insurance to get the rest of my teeth worked on. Scared me from getting anything done for years.
