Dr. Badali is a native of Rochester and is happy to return home after several years away for training. He graduated from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine on Long Island after which he completed a General Practice Residency program at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse
Dr. Badali found dentistry after an interesting career path. He grew up working in, and eventually managing, his parents’ pizzeria in Greece and at one time thought that he would lead an empire of pizza shops in Western NY. After graduating from college in 2000 he instead began a career in sales, which he did for too long and found uncomfortable almost from the very beginning. He then began to think about what he wanted to do with the rest of his life and decided that he would either be a TV weatherman or a dentist. He often jokes that he was choosing between the world’s two favorite types of people
Behind Dr. Badali’s love of dentistry is a drive for knowledge. He has been active in dentistry on the local and national level for years and feels that a clinician’s education is a never ending pursuit. He also has a strong belief that as a dental patient, knowledge is power and your input is valued, so proper consult and decision making are cornerstones of his dental practice. He is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and Seventh District Dental Society. He is the recipient of the Delta Dental Student Leadership Award, New York State Dental Foundation Student Recognition Award and Special Care Dentistry Association Certificate of Recognition. He has been a member of the Monroe County Dental Society board of directors since 2015 and is currently the Business Chair for the organization
A lover of Chicago sports, he believes that Walter Payton is still super-human and always thinks that this is the Cubs’ year (and we’re ready to get back to the WS!)… He is married to Megan, the most supportive woman on Earth. They have a rambunctious and overly sweet little girl named Lila and an even more rambunctious little man named Joe
Dr. DuPr (or Dr. Bob as he likes to be called) began practicing Dentistry in 1987 after graduating from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pa. Prior to that, he obtained his undergraduate degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook. While at Stony Brook, he held a position as Tutorial Assistant in the Fine Arts Department division of ceramics allowing him to both study as well as teach ceramic sculpture. As you can imagine, this attraction to design makes a person uniquely well suited to the practice of Dentistry. Prior to Stony Brook, Dr. DuPr was Class President of the second graduating class in Dental Laboratory Technology at Erie Community College. During this time, Dr. DuPr also maintained his own small dental laboratory and worked almost exclusively with the most prominent Prosthodontists in the Western NY area. He is still not sure whether he learned more from these people or more from his clinical Professors at Temple! This was on the job trainingat the highest level
However, his path to becoming a clinician was certainly not a straight line, having spent time as a professional photographer in Buffalo, NY, as well as being a musician and a cook in Vail, Colorado. These passions have never disappeared, but he fell in love with dental arts while working as a Certified Dental Laboratory Technician
Dr. Bob was born in the small town of Fulton, NY. The family moved to Penfield in the 60s where he grew up, attended St Joseph’s Grammar School and ultimately Penfield High School. He has been married for 35 years to Karen, a woman he respects, admires and loves. Dr. Bob and Karen are the proud parents of Eric, a Captain in the Air Force who is currently in flight training. He also has two other “children”: his gigantic Leonberger dogs!
Dr. Bob loves his busy office, but he often thinks that he might be even busier at home. He has many interests that he feels make life a little more interesting. These include growing fruits and vegetables, woodworking, boating, fishing, golf, boat and car restoration, and reading. Of course he still loves cooking, photography and music
