I was just looking at a review on Dr.Quinn ,I was a patient of doctor Quinn for a few years and I have to agree with the post that I read about him coming in on a Sunday to fix a broken tooth, As as Pastor I needed to get a tooth repaired and he called me and had me meet him on a Sunday morning to take care of it ...5 star Awesome staff..

Highly recommend Dr. Quinn as a dentist. Great guy, bailed me out of a few dental mishaps, including showing up on short notice on a SUNDAY to repair a tooth I broke while working. 10/10

We're fairly new to the area and made an appointment for an issue my daughter was having. The cleaning appointments were booked out 6 months so I made appointments at the Vinton office for a little sooner, but Cave Spring is where we live and thus more convenient. Since the issue my daughter is having could be somewhat serious and it's been very painful (her new teeth are coming through the roof of her mouth), they said they'd get her in sooner. Mind you it was still over 2 weeks out and I had to take her out of school, which obviously I try to avoid. We got there this afternoon to be greeted by 3 flippant receptionists, one of which said, "oh yeah... we tried to call you, Dr. Quinn left for the day" Excuse me? So they tried to call me an hour before the appointment. I missed the call as I was getting ready to leave and going to pick her up for school, an hour's notice?? Really, that's okay? None of his "partners" were willing to squeeze us in so my only option was to reschedule. I didn't even wait to hear my options, which I'm sure would have again been several weeks out. I understand that people have emergencies, but this wasn't just a cleaning. I had made special arrangements because of the issue my daughter is having with her mouth. She is in pain and not one of them could have cared less. They looked at me, like I was the unreasonable one. Again, had it been just a cleaning, fine (although wouldn't have scheduled a cleaning during school hours, fine). The fact that they couldn't squeeze us in just to look at her mouth and let us know what our next steps should be is ridiculous. I know that her problem would not be solved today, it was diagnostic. I imagined we'd be scheduling extraction and possibly getting referral to an orthodontist.... Oh but by no means, don't let me interrupt... you all carry on with your conversation and the rest of your day. I will never step foot in that place again and I'll be pulling all the rest of my business from the Vinton office as well.

Our entire family loved going here until they began overcharging us and constantly trying to add unnecessary treatments. We pay for the highest plan for our insurance coverage and it still would not cover a simple cleaning by an extra $45 per person. What they charged our insurance company was outrageous. I would be better off not having insurance. Dr Coots is only looking for the money and he will try to talk you into extra services that are completely unwarranted. If you have senior people going to this office please accompany them and make sure they are not being advantage of. Better yet, find an honest dental group. This one is far from it.

I've been going here for several years and I couldn't praise any office higher. I see Dr Quinn who's absolutely excellent. I'm not just getting cleanings and an occasional filling, I've had four root canals, a bridge, and an implant and I couldn't be any happier than I am with his work and the care from each hygienist I've seen. I recently had an emergency situation with my implant and was able to be seen the same day and the screw was corrected right away at no cost. I like these guys so much I even go when I don't have insurance and pay full price because it's worth it.

About as good a practice as you can get. I have had many visits with many dentists because I had many genetic issues with my teeth. Now I am just bad at dental hygiene. The care and quality of this dental practice is as good as I have experienced. To the point where, I think I would probably still come here even if I move 200 miles away. One thing to note, if you are needle sensitive, ask if everyone is trained to do what Dr. Williams does. I had local anesthesia without even feeling the needle as done by Dr Williams. Also Dr Ward saved one of my canine teeth. It was all kinds of messed up and Its not a good look to lose one of those. That's one of those things where its like, money cannot repay. Maybe I hit the tooth lotto but at he tried and it looks amazing. Some dentists wouldn't even bother. So yeah, if you have a tooth in distress, or you hate needles, go here first, for sure. Best dentistry ever.

I have been using this dentistry office for the last ~6 years since moving to Roanoke. I've used them for my bi-yearly cleanings, a couple root canals, and cavity repairs. The staff and providers are friendly people. The office is nicely decorated and pleasant. And I think I am a pretty easy going person who doesn't write a bad review lightly. However, there are several major issues that have finally pushed me over the edge and forced me to seek a new dentistry clinic. These are all problems that I have experienced over and over again over the last 6 years and clearly not a "one time thing." 1) You can't get an appointment in a timely manner. I have an unpredictable work schedule and as a result have had to reschedule my routine cleaning appointment multiple times over the years. (These are scheduled ~6 months in advance but I don't know my work schedule often until a few weeks ahead.) Typically when I have to reschedule, they don't have another appointment available for MONTHS. I'm talking like 4 or 5 months sometimes. Nothing sooner for routine cleaning. Frankly I find that ridiculous. Occasionally they offer to put me on a cancellation list, which I always accept, however I don't think a cancellation list actually exists because NOT ONCE have they ever called me. As a result, I have probably only had ~8 or 9 cleanings over 6 years, if even that many (when I should have had 12). 2) But even for "emergency" or acute appointments, you often can't get an appointment in a timely manner. I had a major problem with an abscessed tooth a couple years ago for which I had multiple dentistry visits over the course of 6 months or more. I still remember how much trouble I had getting in to see anyone quickly. As a result of all the delays, the original abscess got so large that it broke into the root of the adjacent tooth causing the adjacent tooth to become infected also. I ended up with the original tooth pulled (with implant and crown) and the adjacent tooth with a root canal. I sincerely believe the second tooth became infected because of all the delays with scheduling. 3) The last TWO times I have gone for routine cleaning, I found out after I arrived that my dentist wasn't working that day. (Despite me specifically asking to be scheduled with him due to my past dental issues.) This last time, I got a little upset with the receptionist checking me in, and she just looks at me and offers to reschedule. In 3 months. How she could keep a straight face I have no idea. 4) Finally, the dental hygienists. I seem to get someone different every time I go, and while these women all seem very nice, unfortunately I have had really variable (often not good) experiences with their work. You see, I saw the same dental hygienist for 15+ years where I grew up, and never once did I dread going to the dentist. Never once did I leave with my gums and jaw aching. Unfortunately that is not the case here. I don't know if it is inexperience on the part of the dental hygienist or what. I just know that it doesn't have to be like this and SHOULDN'T be like what I have often dealt with here. Literally more than 50% of my cleanings have been miserable and painful experiences, with frequent gouging of the gums with the pick and way too aggressive polishing and flossing. I brush twice a day and floss compulsively multiple times a day, so I don't have overly sensitive gums, nor do I have dentist anxiety. But when you are flinching throughout a cleaning and spend the next 24-48 hours with aching gums and jaw, that is a major problem.

I have had some horrifying experiences with dentists prior to coming to see this office. I was anxious and didn't want to go. BUT I am so grateful I did. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Quinn and he was clear about my x-rays and what steps needed to be taken. Answered all of my questions. His hygienist was amazing as well. Their office took exceptional care of me over the phone and everyone took into account my insurance and income when making treatment decisions. I still have a few more appointments coming up but I'm much more at ease thanks to Dr. Quinn and their phenomenal team.
