I first joined Cross City Dental as a dental assistant in 2015, and after leaving the practice for a little time, I came back to become the office manager in 2017. When you come to visit us, Ill be one of the smiles you see as you come through the door! Im truly passionate about people, and I enjoy the relationships Im able to form with our patients as I help them navigate through their insurance benefits.
I was born and raised in the Dixie County area, as were my parents and grandparents. I graduated from both Dixie County High School and Lake City Community College. Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 3 children. As a family, we like to go hunting, fishing, mud bogging, air boating, and visit the beach. Overall, I would say my greatest passion is spending time with all of my family during the holidays.
Hi! My name is Brandy Smith, and Im the receptionist here at Cross City Dental. I have two children, ages 2 and 6, and in my spare time, I like to go hunting and fishing. I have always loved any activities that are outdoors. I am extremely excited to work here and am happy to help and answer any questions you may have. Please call or stop by the office anytime you need help! I look forward to welcoming you to our friendly practice!
After graduating from Dixie County High School in 1986, I began the dental assisting program at Santa Fe College just three weeks later. I received my dental assisting certification in 1987 and worked for 2 years while attending hygiene school in Sante Fe. I went on to complete my Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1989. Now, I have been in the dental profession for over 30 years, and Ive loved every minute of it! The challenges are worth the reward of sharing in my patients achievements and calming their fears. My patients are my family, and I treat all of them as such.
I have spent my life in Cross City, and I count it as a blessing that I get to work in my hometown. Dr. Novikov and the staff at Cross City Dental are simply the best! I still, even after 30 years, look forward to coming to work every day because I enjoy our well-organized and state-of-the-art practice.
When Im away from the office, I like to mostly spend time with my family. My husband Jody and I have 3 beautiful daughters and a courageous son. They keep me very active with sports, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and going to the beach (which is my favorite place). We also like to stay very involved in our church.
My name is Caysie Jean Douglas, and I am a dental assistant here at Cross City Dental. I am a lifelong resident of Horseshoe Beach. Im also a graduate of Dixie County High School and received my associates degree from Lake City Community College in 2016.
I like to spend my spare time helping my grandparents, hanging out with friends, and pampering my Pomeranian-Yorkie mix, Charlie. I really enjoy coming to work because of my awesome coworkers, and we all cant wait to meet you!
I was born in Virginia and moved to Dixie County when I was a young girl. I graduated from Dixie County High School in 2004 and set my roots in Horseshoe Beach to start a family and my career in dentistry. In 2011, I began working at Cross City Dental. I really enjoy the opportunity to educate our patients about proper oral homecare, and I also like seeing them filled with joy after they have a great experience with us.
At home, I like to spend most of my time with my fianc, John, and my young son, Wyatt. I live on a ranch with a bunch of animals, but my horses are my favorite. One of my biggest goals in life is passing my love of the outdoors and animals onto my son. And, I just recently started a new hobby: gardening! My thumbs are already turning green!
We want to provide the best dental care possible. That is why we use a dental microscope in order to help them see the finer details of the teeth and perform treatments with more precision. This instrument is able to magnify an image and enable us to spot dental issues sooner and execute procedures with more accuracy.
With digital x-rays, we can more quickly and easily diagnose potentially hidden dental problems while giving our patients peace of mind. Compared to traditional film-based x-rays, they take much less time to create images, they dont require toxic chemicals to do so, and better yet, they expose our patients to 90% LESS radiation. The images can even be displayed on a chairside monitor where our dental team can explain to you what they are seeing, taking some of the mystery out of dentistry.
Thanks to our intraoral camera, you can finally see your smile from your dentists point of view! This small, camera-tipped wand can be easily maneuvered through your mouth to capture high-resolution images of your teeth and gums which can be instantly displayed on a large chairside monitor. These images will not only make it much easier for us to spot potential dental problems, but theyll also give you a much better understanding of your oral health, allowing our team to better explain your dental needs.
