Dr. Holcomb loves being able to provide care to his hometown. He graduated from Crockett High School in 1986 and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas, Austin. He then graduate from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in 1993. With over 28 years serving his community, Dr. Holcomb looks forward to providing care to patients from ages 8 to 108 who are striving for great oral health! Continually, he has expanded his knowledge to provide an array of additional services to Houston County.
Dr. Holcomb has studied at the Pankey Institute over a course of 5 years, he completed through Continuum 5 and completed a Preceptorship in Dental Implantology from the University of Texas San Antonio. Dr. Holcomb has a strong passion for continuing his education, thus being an active member of the Houston Pankey / Tanner Study Club as well and the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He is a member of the American College of Dentists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and the Brazos Valley Dental Society. Dr. Holcomb actively uses these memberships to expand his knowledge to bring the latest techniques to Houston County.
Utilizing state of art technology, Dr. Holcomb continually seeks ways to make receiving dental care less anxiety provoking as well as more visual by using diagnostic tools to explain what is occurring within a patient's mouth. He and his entire team focus on the connection between oral health and the long lasting effects it has on overall physical health and well being.
Dr. Holcomb and his wife, Laura are members of the First United Methodist Church of Crockett where he serves on a variety of committees. He is also a member of the Crockett Rotary Club, Lothrop Lodge of Crockett, and the Houston County Water District. Dr. Holcomb and Laura enjoy spending their weekends with family, enjoying all of the great outdoor activites that East Texas has to offer and playing with their grand-dog, Henlee. Their daughter,Ann is currently residing in Nacogdoches, Texas with her husband Michael, while attending Fuller Theological Seminary. Their son, Will recently finished his career as a Sam Houston State University Men's golfer and is now residing in Fort Worth, Texas. His wife, Graycie is currently the Marketing Coordinator at Crockett Dental Care.

I have been going to Dr. Holcomb for over 20 years. His skill set is diverse and can handle all dental needs. Whether one needs a routine cleaning, a complex filling, or a root canal, or everything in between, Dr. Holcomb has the experience, patience, and care to provide the best dental experience. I would recommend him to everyone.

We have been going to Crockett Dental Care, Dr. Holcombe, for many years. We used to live close, but several years ago we moved two hours away, however we still make the drive for semi-annual cleanings and checkups. It is worth it! Excellent service and friendly staff.

Being a survivor of 80 years plus, I have experienced the so-called "good, bad, and ugly of dental practices! Fortunately, I still have most of my teeth thanks to Dr. Holcumb and his good looking, competent staff! Dr Holcomb has done various dental procedures for me and members of my family such as fillings, crowns, root canal's, extractions, bridges, and implants. He has done them all skillfully and with no complaints. I highly recommend you get your dental problems fixed and resolved at this excellent and caring dental practice!

Nobody likes going to the dentist. But this is as good as it gets. Truly. Holcomb and his wife are Allstars in this field. Top of their game. I couldnt be happier with the level and quality of service. Not in a hurry to return lol, but i know ill be in the best hands.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Holcomb! I have severe TMJ issues. Every time I go in, he remembers that and takes precautions to help prevent irritating it any worse than absolutely necessary. No other dentist has ever done so for me before. And every person who assists is also aware of my TMJ, and also takes precautions, even when Dr Holcomb has not mentioned it. That tells me that they all routinely review patient files before seeing a patient. All of them! Every time! I have a sensitive tooth right now, but no cavity. Yesterday, Dr Holcomb took the time to show me my xrays and discuss them with me. He answered all of my questions and did a couple of extra, simple tests to diagnose my problem. I moved here in 2006, and Dr Holcomb has been my dentist since then. He has never once tried to talk me into any crazy, pointless procedures, as previous dentists had. One of my front teeth cracked once. Dr Holcomb mixed up some stuff to fix it. It looked like real tooth enamel when he was finished. He matched the color of my teeth perfectly, and when he was done, it looked completely natural. It felt natural too. I drink a lot of coffee, and that fixed tooth stains and bleaches out at the exact same rate as all of my other teeth, so they are always the same color. His prices have always been extremely reasonable. My grown son has called around to price a few procedures, and he has found no other dentist office to beat Dr Holcomb's prices, not even close. He even remembers me when I go in, and he asks about my children and their lives. He has an excellent, friendly bedside manner, never curt or too rushed.

Being new to Texas, then having dental issues, I was at a loss finding a dentist. The dentist thing is a sore subject and after asking around, Dr Holcomb came highly recommended. This dentist is awesome. He inspires confidence in his abilities and thoroughly explains dental issues and options. I cringe at the thought of the horrible pain I have experienced with other dentists. I needed two extractions. The day of the procedure I was filled with anxiety but Dr. Holcomb was not in a rush. He made sure I was thoroughly numbed before doing the deed. I felt no pain and that painless experience made my millennium. PHEW. I have some insurance and it was determined the day of my first appointment, that my insurance did not cover both extractions. The doctor and staff worked out a discounted plan of 229.00. I was so appreciative that they worked with me. Throughout the week prior to the procedure, I received appointment reminders as well as reminders for the 229.00 due the day of procedure. I even received a reminder while driving to appointment about the 229.00. This was like five minutes before I arrived. I was seated in the chair and then one of the staff came in outlining what was being done and the cost of 301.00. What? I told her about the text messages saying 229.00 but she just ignored me and was adamant about the 301.00. Whatever, I was there, a miracle in itself, so I went with it. I am reluctant to give a full recommendation for this reason. It is like bait and switch. My thinking is if I go through with the approximately 3200.00 worth of work they will add another 1000.00 just because they don't honor their cost quotes. So, yeah, to the dentist but not to the office as a whole.
