Each of our dental assistants is registered with the state of Arkansas. They bring professionalism, competence, and friendliness to your dental experience at Criswell Clinic Family Dentistry. They can answer many of your questions before you are introduced to the dentist of your choice. They can address any concerns you may have, or bring them to the attention of the dentist for you if you would find that more comfortable. They will take any necessary x-rays and assist the dentist in his examination and treatment of you. Our dental assistants are also available for phone calls should questions come to mind after your visit.
Established by Dr. Billy Criswell in 1962, Criswell Clinic Family Dentistry serves the people of Van Buren and the surrounding area. Our friendly staff provides comprehensive and affordable dental services in a family-like atmosphere.
Dr. Criswell graduated from Van Buren High School with honors, Hendrix College with distinction and the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 1988 with honors. He immediately began practice at Criswell Clinic Family Dentistry following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Billy Criswell. He provides general dentistry for both children and adults. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arkansas State Dental Association, the Fort Smith Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Orthodontic Society. Dr. Criswell, along with his wife, Tamara, and four children reside in Van Buren. He practices at both our locations.
Dr. Douglas graduated from Alma High School, Quachita Baptist University, and upon graduation from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 1977 joined Criswell Clinic Family Dentistry in the practice of general dentistry for both children and adults. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arkansas State Dental Association, and the Fort Smith Dental Association. He lives in Alma with his wife, Charlotte, newly elected Arkansas State Representative. They are the parents of four grown children. Dr. Douglas practices at our Main Street office.
Dr. Pardo was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended the University of Arkansas for his undergraduate degree, and graduated from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in 2016. He then completed a General Practice Residency at UAMS in Little Rock. His residency focused on advanced procedures, including implants and periodontal surgery, and dental care for medically compromised patients. This program also allowed him to practice at Arkansas Childrens Hospital, where he gained experience in treating children with special needs in the clinic and operating room. He provides general dentistry for adults and children.

I had a crown glued back on. It fell off after 6 hours. He did not give me a wooden dowel to bite down on. He did not set the glue with ultraviolet light. He did not tell me to wait 2 hours before eating. I am 68 years old. I have more than a dozen crowns. I know to wait 2 hours. It was there for more than 15 years. See all of the extra cement in the crown. It must be a thin layer. No wooden dowel! 6 years ago I had a crown fall off. The dentist glued it on. It is still there. He retired or I would drive 125 miles to have him glue it on. I am 68 years old. I have more than a dozen crowns.

Chriswell family dental Allison new Meyer hurt me so so so bad. She is worse than doctor Kavorkian! I have never been hurt like this ever! My temple hurts, my ear and my head.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Alison Newmeyer! I had a problem area in my mouth for over a year which no other dentist that I went to ever noticed. I ended up needing a root canal for this. She referred me over to a wonderful Endodontics Office and my procedure was seamless. I ended up coming back to her a week later for a permanent filling and it was quick and easy. I am usually super nervous at the dentist but she was very informative and professional which put me at ease. I would recommend Dr. Newmeyer to anyone!

On 7-14-2021 I got my teeth cleaned and an update as to a previously prepared dental consult and dental treatment plan. Very clean, well appointed offices and rooms. Hygienist was gentle but thorough, very good to tell me what she was doing, and also to give me useful information about my oral health. Dr. Pardo had excellent information about my mouth, info I got from River Valley Endodontics after the last visit, logical treatment priorities, etc. Fair prices, outstanding work, low stress, I highly recommend. Get your teeth right, its a good investment that contributes mightily to overall health, self-confidence, etc. I use Waterpik sonic-fusion Professional, Glide dental floss, NeutraMaxx 5000 Plus Turbo prescription toothpaste, and sometimes mouthwash too. It is paying off. Ask Dr. Pardo about whether or not he thinks the NeutraMaxx would benefit you. Dr. Pardo is a gentleman and a scholar and an all around cool cat. Cross my heart, promise you'll like the team at Criswell.

Going to Criswell dentistry clinic was the best experience I've ever had. Dr. Pardo and the staff were great !!! I have a had terrible experiences with Dentists, but not here. I won't mind going on a regular basis now. TY from the bottom of my heart!!! I was beginning to give up on finding a great place to go to !!!!

My appt.with Criswell Dentistry went very well.The office staff was very personable and accomodating.The dentist himself was of same demeanor.Very personable and most pleasant.The dentist assistant was also very pleasant as well.No complaints here.I was not familiar with. any of them, however they made me want to come back.Very comfortable atmosphere.
